NOTE
When the aircraft is on any airport movement area, the
transponder should be in Altitude Reporting (ALT) mode.
NOTE
If filing a flight plan or requesting ATC services, do not
use Anonymous Mode.

OPERATING MODE
GDL 82 OPERATION
ADS-B OUT MESSAGES
OFF - Turned off or no power Do not transmit.
STBY (standby) Do not transmit.
ON - Non-altitude reporting Do not provide pressure
altitude information.
ALT (altitude reporting) Provide all required
information.
ENABLE ANONYMOUS MODE
1. Set the Anonymous Mode switch to the enabled position.
2. Set the transponder to squawk VFR code 1200.
OPTIONAL ADS-B OUT FAIL ANNUNCIATOR
An illuminated annunciator lamp indicates the unit is not
transmitting ADS-B Out messages. Or, messages do not
contain all required information.
GDL 82 SYSTEM
The GDL 82 is a UAT ADS-B transmitter that integrates with the
aircraft’s existing transponder, creating an ADS-B Out compliant
solution for flight in the U.S. below 18,000 feet.
