Thankyou for purchasingthis model by GeneracPowerSystems,
Inc. This model is a compact, high performance, air-cooled,
engine driven generator designed to supply electrical power to
operate electrical loads where no utility power is available or in
place of utility due to a power outage.

The operator is responsible for proper and safe use of the
equipment. We strongly recommend that the operator read this

GENERAL HAZARDS
• NEVERoperate in an enclosed area, in a vehicle, or indoors
EVENIF doors and windows are open.
• For safety reasons, the manufacturer recommends that the
maintenanceof this equipment is carried out by an Authorized
Dealer.Inspectthe generatorregularly,and contact the nearest
AuthorizedDealerfor parts needing repair or replacement.
• Operategeneratoronly on levelsurfaces and whereit will not be
exposedto excessivemoisture, dirt, dust or corrosive vapors.
• Keep hands, feet, clothing, etc., away from drive belts, fans,
and other moving parts. Never removeany fan guard or shield
while the unit is operating.
• Certain parts of the generator get extremely hot during
operation. Keep clear of the generator until it has cooled to
avoid severe burns.
• Do NOToperategeneratorin the rain.
• Do not alter the construction of the generator or change
controls which might create an unsafe operatingcondition.
• Never start or stop the unit with electrical loads connected
to receptacles AND with connected devices turned ON. Start
the engine and let it stabilize before connecting electrical
loads. Disconnect all electrical loads beforeshutting down the
generator.
• Do not insert objectsthrough unit's cooling slots.

• When working on this equipment, remain alert at all times.
Never work on the equipment when physically or mentally
fatigued.
• Never use the generatoror any of its parts as a step. Stepping
on the unit can stress and break parts, and may result in
dangerous operating conditions from leaking exhaust gases,
fuel leakage,oil leakage,etc.

EXHAUST & LOCATIONHAZARDS
• Never operate in an enclosed area or indoors!NEVERuse in
the home,in a vehicle, or in partly enclosed areas such as
garages, EVEN IF doors and windowsare open! ONLYuse
outdoors and far from open windows, doors,vents, and in an
area that will not accumulatedeadlyexhaust.

• The engine exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which
you cannot see or smell. This poisonous gas, if breathed in
sufficient concentrations, can cause unconsciousnessor even
death.
• Adequate, unobstructed flow of cooling and ventilating air
is critical to correct generator operation. Do not alter the
installation or permit even partial blockage of ventilation
provisions, as this can seriously affect safe operation of the
generator.The generatorMUST be operatedoutdoors.
• This exhaust system must be properly maintained.Do nothing
that mightrenderthe exhaustsystemunsafeor in noncompliance
with any local codes and/or standards.
• Always use a battery operatedcarbon monoxidealarm indoors,
installed according to the manufacturersinstructions.
• If you start to feet sick, dizzy, or weak after the generator has
been running,move to fresh air IMMEDIATELYSee a doctor,as
you could have carbon monoxide poisoning.

ELECTRICAL
HAZARDS
• The generator produces dangerously high voltage when in
operation.Avoidcontactwith barewires,terminals,connections,
etc., while the unit is running, even on equipment connected
to the generator. Ensure all appropriate covers, guards and
barriers are in place beforeoperatingthe generator.
• Never handle any kind of electrical cord or device while
standing in water,while barefoot or while handsor feet are wet.
DANGEROUSELECTRICALSHOCKMAY RESULT,
• TheNationalElectricCode (NEC)requirestheframe and external
electrically conductive parts of the generator be properly
connectedto an approvedearth ground. Local electricalcodes
may also require proper grounding of the generator.Consult
with a local electricianfor groundingrequirementsin the area.
• Use a ground fault circuit interrupter in any damp or highly
conductive area (such as metal decking or steel work).
• Do not useworn, bare,frayed or otherwise damagedelectrical
cord sets with the generator.
• Beforeperforming anymaintenanceon thegenerator,disconnect
the engine starting battery (if equipped) to prevent accidental
start up. Disconnectthe cable from the battery post indicated
by a NEGATIVE,NEGor (-) first. Reconnectthat cable last.
• In case of accident caused by electric shock, immediately shut
down the source of electrical power. If this is not possible,
attempt to free the victim from the live conductor. AVOID
DIRECTCONTACTWITH THE VICTIIVl.Use a non-conducting
implement, such as a rope or board,to free the victim from the
live conductor. If the victim is unconscious, apply first aid and
get immediatemedical help.

FIREHAZARDS
• LP gas is highlyEXPLOSIVE.
• Flammablegas under pressure can cause a fire or explosion if
ignited.
• LP gas is heavier that air and can settle in low places while
dissipating.
• LP gas has a distinctive odor added to help detect potential
leaks quickly.
• In any propane gas fire, flames should not be extinguished
unless by doing so the fuel supply valve can be turned OFE
• If the fire is extinguishedand a supply of fuel is not turned
OFF,an explosion hazardgreaterthan the fire hazardcould be
created.
• When exchangingLP cylinders, be sure the cylinder valve is of
the same type.
• Wipe up any fuel or oil spills immediately. Ensure that no
combustiblematerialsare left on or nearthe generator.Keepthe
area surroundingthe generatorclean and free from debris and
keep a clearance of five (5) feet on all side to allow for proper
ventilationof the generator.

overheat,if electricaloutput is lost, if engineor generatorsparks
or if flames or smoke are observed while unit is running.

1.2.1 ASSEMBLINGTHEACCESSORY
KIT
The wheels are designed into the unit to greatly improve the
portability of the generator.
You wilt needthe following tools to properly install the accessory
kit.
* NeedleNose Pliers
* Ratchet
* 5mm Allen wrench

* lOmm, 12mm, 13mm sockets
* lOmm, 12mm, 13mm wrenches
NOTE:

The wheels are not intendedfor over-the-road use.

Refer to Figure 2 and install the Wheels as follows:
- Slidethe Axle Pinsthrough the Wheel, 1/2" FlatWasher,andWheel
Bracket on the frame.
- Insert the Cotter Pinthrough the Axle Pinthen bend the tabs (ofthe
Cotter Pins) outward to lock into place.
2. Refer to Figure 2 and install the Frame Foot and Rubber
Bumpers as shown.
- Slidethe RubberBumperstuds through the Frame Footthen install
the Locking FlangeNuts.
- Slidethe HexHead Bolts through the holes in the Frame Rail.
- Slide the Frame Foot onto the Hex Head Bolts then install the
Locking FlangeNuts.
3. Refer to Figure 2 and install the Tank Bracket as shown.
- Remove the hex nuts from the lower panel on each side at the
rear.Push Flatheadbolts back for the bracketto fit and align holes
with bolts.
- Slide the long Bolts through the Tank Bracket and Cradle, then
install the HexNuts.

Install tank shroud as shown in Figure 2.
- Slidetab ends in betweentubes in rear of cradle.
- Insert M8 Bolts (long) through tubes and into treaded inserts.

Use this receptacleto operate 120 Volt AC, 60 Hz, single phase
loads requiringup to 2400 watts (2.4 kW) of power at 30 Amps or
240 Volt AC, 60 Hz, singlephase loadsrequiring up to 3250 watts
(3.25 kW) of power at 13.5 Amps. The outlet is protectedby two
15 Amp push-to-reset circuit breakers.

2.3 HOW TO USETHEGENERATOR
2.2 CONNECTION
PLUGS
2.2.1 120 VAC,20 AMP,DUPLEXRECEPTACLE
This is a 120 Volt outlet protectedagainst overloadby a 20 Amp
push-to-reset circuit breaker (Figure7). Use each socket to power
120 Volt AO, single phase, 60 Hz electrical loads requiring up to a
combined 2400 watts (2.4 kW) or 20 Amps of current. Use only
high quality, well-insulated, 3-wire grounded cord sets rated for
125 Volts at 20 Amps (or greater).
Keep extensioncords as short as possible, preferably less than
15 feet long, to preventvoltage drop and possible overheating of
wires.

Never operatein an enclosedarea or indoors!NEVERuse in
the home, in a vehicle, or in partly enclosed areas such as
garages, EVEN IF doors and windows are open! ONLYuse
outdoors and far from open windows,doors,vents, and in an
area that will not accumulate deadly exhaust.

2.3.1 GROUNDING
THEGENERATOR

2.2.2 120/240 VAC,20 AMP RECEPTACLE
Use a NEMA L14-20R plug with this receptacle (rotate to lock!
unlock). Oonnecta suitable 4-wire grounded cord set to the plug
and to the desiredtoad. The cord set should be ratedfor 250 Volts
AC at 20 Amps (or greater)(Figure8).

The National Electrical Code requires that the frame and
external electrically conductive parts of this generator be
properly connectedto an approved earth ground (Figure g).
Local electrical codes may also require proper grounding of the
unit. Forthat purpose, connectinga No. 10 AWG (American Wire
Gauge) stranded copper wire to the grounding lug and to an
earth-driven copper or brass grounding rod (electrode) provides
adequateprotectionagainst electricalshock. However,local codes
may vary widely. Consultwith a local electrician for grounding
requirementsin the area.

2.3.3 CONNECTING
ELECTRICAL
LOADS
DO NOTconnect 240 Volt loadsto 120 Volt receptacles.DONOT
connect 3-phase loads to the generator.DO NOT connect 50 Hz
loads to the generator.
• Let engine stabilize and warm up for a few minutes after
starting.
• Plug in and turn on the desired 120 or 240 Volt AO, single
phase, 60 Hz electrical loads.
• Add up the ratedwatts (or amps) of all loadsto be connected
at one time. This total should not be greaterthan (a) the rated
wattage/amperage capacity of the generator or (b) circuit
breakerratingof the receptaclesupplyingthe power.See "Don't
Overloadthe Generator".

2.4 DON'TOVERLOADTHEGENERATOR
Proper groundingof the generatorwill help preventelectrical
shock in the event of a ground fault condition in the generator
or in connected electrical devices. Proper grounding also helps
dissipate static electricity, which often builds up in ungrounded
devices.

2.3.2 SYSTEMGROUND
The generator has a system ground that connects the generator
frame components to the ground terminals on the AC output
receptacles.The system ground is bonded to the AC neutralwire
in the generatorcontrol panelvia a jumper wire.

SpecialRequirements
There may be Federalor State Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA)regulations,local codes, or ordinancesthat
apply to the intendeduse of the generator.
Please consult a qualified electrician, electrical inspector, or the
local agency havingjurisdiction:

local utility companies.
* If the generator is used at a construction site, there may be
additionalregulationswhich must be observed.

Connecting
to a Buiiding's
Electrical
System
Oonnectionsfor standby power to a building's electrical system
must be made by a qualified electrician. The connection must
isolate the generatorpower from utility power or other alternative
power sources and must comply with all relatedlaws and codes.
A 3-POLE TRANSFERSWITCH MUST BE USED WiTH THiS
GENERATOR.
A 2-POLETRANSFERSWITCHWILL NOT WORK
BECAUSETHE NEUTRALWIRESARE BONDEDTOGROUND.

Overloadinga generator in excess of its rated wattage capacity
can result in damageto the generatorand to connectedelectrical
devices. Observethe following to preventoverloadingthe unit:
• Add up the total wattageof all electricaldevicesto be connected
at one time. This total should NOT be greater than the
generator'swattage capacity.
• The ratedwattage of lights can be taken from light bulbs. The
rated wattage of tools, appliances and motors can usually be
found on a data label or decal affixedto the device.
• If the appliance,tool or motor does not give wattage, multiply
volts times ampererating to determinewatts (volts x amps =
watts).
• Some electric motors, such as induction types, require about
threetimes more watts of power for starting than for running.
This surge of power lasts only a few seconds when starting
such motors. Make sureto allowfor high startingwattagewhen
selectingelectrical devicesto connect to the generator:
1. Figurethe watts neededto start the largest motor.
2. Add to that figure the running watts of all other connected
loads.
The WattageReferenceGuide is providedto assist in determining
how many items the generatorcan operateat one time.

2.6.2 CONNECTING
LPFUELTANK

Do not use or store LP cylinder in a building,
garage or enclosed area except as authorized
by NFPA 58 or B149.2 (in Canada).
Do not check for leaks with a match or flame.

cylinder valve should be left off (closed)
when the generator is not in use.
NOTE:
Regulator inlet pressurerangefrom LPtank is : 30 to 100 psi.

• Use only standard 20 or 30 pound capacity LP tanks with
Type 1, right hand Acme threads with this generator.Verify the
requalification date on the tank has not expired. Do not use
rusted or damagedcylinders.
• All new cylinders must be purged of air and moisture prior to
filling. Usedcylindersthat havenot been pluggedor kept closed
must also be purged.
• The purging process should be done by your propane gas
supplier. (Cylinders from an exchange supplier should have
been purged and filled properly already)
• Lift the tank and place carefully in the rear tank bracket and
tank shroud with the connection point facing the front of the
generator(Figure10).
• Removethe safety plug or cap from the cylinder valve.
• Attachthe connector snugly into the valve. Remember,turn the
plastic coupling from the hose rightto tighten or clockwise.
• Always position the cylinder so the connection between the
valve and the regulatorwon't cause sharp bends or kinks in
the hose.

2.7 STARTINGPULLSTARTENGINES

1. Unplug all electrical loads from the unit's receptacles before
starting the engine.
2. Make sure the unit is in a level position (not to exceed 15° in
any direction).
3. OPENthe FuelShut-off Valveon the cylinder (Figure11).
4. Turnengine RUN/STOPswitch to ONposition (Figure3).
5. Press down on the regulatorprime buttonfor 1-2 secondsand
release(Figure5).
6. Slide engine choke to the LEFT to FULL CHOKE position
(Figure12).
7. To start engine,firmly graspthe recoil handle and pull slowly
until increasedresistanceis felt. Pull rapidly up and away two
(2) times.
8. Move choke knob to into the RUN position and pull recoil
handletwo (2) moretimes to start engine.
NOTE:
If enginefires, but does not continueto run, press primebutton
for 1-2 seconds and repeat starting instructions.

The switch on the controlpanel must be in the ON position.

being tested.
• If bubblesappear,become larger in size or increasein number,
a leak exists.
• This must be corrected before using the generator. Contact

• Contact with liquid contents of the cylinder will cause freeze
burns to the skin.
• Do not allow childrento tamper or play with the cylinder.
• When transporting and storing, keep cylinder secured in an
upright position with cylinder valve turned off and the outlet
plugged. (usually by a plastic protective cap) Keep cylinders
away from heat and ventilatedwhen in a vehicle.

IMPORTANT:Do not overloadthe generator.Also, do not overload
individual panel receptacles.These outlets are protected against
overload with push-to-reset-type circuit breakers. If amperage
rating of any circuit breakeris exceeded,that breakeropens and
electricaloutput to that receptacleis lost. Read"Don't Overloadthe
Generator"carefully.

2.8 STOPPINGTHEENGINE
1. Shut off all loads, then unplug the electrical loads from
generator panel receptacles. Never start or stop the engine
with electrical devices plugged in and turned on.
2. Let engine run at no-load for several minutes to stabilizethe
internaltemperaturesof engine and generator.
3. Move the ON/OFFswitch to OFFposition.
4. Close fuel valve.

2.9 LOWOiLLEVELSHUTDOWN
SYSTEM
The engineis equippedwith a low oil levelsensor that shuts down
the engineautomaticallywhenthe oil leveldrops below a specified
level. If the engine shuts down by itself and the cylinder has
sufficient fuel, check engine oil level.

2.9.1 SENSINGLOWOILLEVEL
If the system senses a low oil level during operation,the engine
shuts down. The enginewill not run until the oil has been refilled
to the proper level.

3.2.3 EMISSIONSINFORMATION
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires that this
generator comply with exhaust emission standards. The engine
used in this generator is certified to meet the applicable EPA
emission levels. It is important to follow the maintenance
specifications provided in this manuals to ensurethat the engine
complies with the applicableemission standardsfor the duration
of the engine'slife. The emissioncontrol system on this generator
consists of the following:

3.3 GENERALRECOIVliViENDATiONS

3.3.3 ENGINEMAINTENANCE

Thewarranty of the generatordoes not cover items that have been
subjected to operator abuse or negligence.To receive full value
from the warranty, the operator must maintain the generator as
instructed in this manual.

When working on the generator, always
disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and
keep wire away from spark plug.

Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to properly
maintain the generator.
All adjustments in the Maintenancesection of this manual should
be made at leastonce each season.Followthe requirementsin the
"MaintenanceSchedule".
NOTE:
Once a year replace the spark plug and replace the air filter.
A new spark plug and clean air filter assure proper fuel-air
mixtureand help the engine run better and last longer.

3.3.1GENERATOR/V/A/NTENANCE
Generatormaintenanceconsists of keepingthe unit clean and dry.
Operateand store the unit in a clean dry environmentwhere it will
not be exposedto excessivedust, dirt, moisture or any corrosive
vapors. Cooling air slots in the generator must not become
clogged with snow, leaves,or any other foreign material.

3.3.4 CHECKING
OILLEVEL
Seethe "Before Starting the Generator"sectionfor informationon
checkingthe oil level. The oil levelshould be checkedbefore each
use, or at least every eight hours of operation. Keepthe oil level
maintained.

3.3.5 CHANG/NGTHEO/L
Change the oil after the first 30 hours and every 100 hours
thereafter.If running this unit under dirty or dusty conditions, or in
extremelyhot weather,changethe oil more often.

DO NOTuse a garden hoseto clean generator. Water can enter
the engine fuel systemand causeproblems.In addition,if water
enters the generator throughcoolingair slots,some water will
be retained in voidsand crevicesof the rotorand stator winding
insulation. Water and dirt buildup on the generator internal
windingswill eventually decrease the insulationresistanceof
thesewindings.

3.3.2 TOCLEANTHEGENERATOR
* Use a damp cloth to wipe exteriorsurfaces clean.
* A soft, bristle brush may be used to loosen caked on dirt, oil,
etc.
* A vacuum cleaner may be used to pick up loose dirt and
debris.
* Low pressure air (not to exceed 25 psi) may be used to
blow away dirt. Inspect cooling air slots and openings
on the generator. These openings must be kept clean and
unobstructed.

3.3.6 REPLACINGTHESPARKPLUG
Use NGKBPR7ESspark plug or equivalent. Replacethe plug once
each year.
Stopthe engineand shut off the fuel valve on the cylinder and
remove.
2. Using a 13mm wrench and 6mm Allen wrench, remove the
four (4) flat head screws and two (2) hex nuts from the side
panel and 3 button head screws adjacent to the top cover.

plug (Figure13).

3.4 SERVICEAiR FILTER
The engine will not run properly and may be damagedif using a
dirty air filter. Cleanthe air filter every 50 hours or once a year
(Figure 16). Clean or replacemore often if operatingunder dusty
conditions. The air filter part numberis 0J47870141.

2. Wash in soapy water.Squeezefilter dry in cleancloth (DONOT
TWIST).
3. Cleanair filter cover before reqnstallingit.

be allowed to run at least 30 minutes. If this cannot be done and
the unit must be stored for more than 30 days, use the following
information as a guide to prepare it for storage.

Emission Control System Warranty (ECSWarranty) for equipmentusing small spark-ignitedengines:
(a) Applicability: This warranty shall apply to equipmentthat uses small off-road engines.The ECSWarranty periodshall begin on the date the new
equipment is purchasedby/deliveredto its original, end-use purchaser/ownerand shall continue for the lesserof:
(1) The periodof time specified in the GeneracLimited Warranty enclosed herewith,but not less than 24 months, or
(2) For engines equippedwith hour meters, a number of operatinghours equal to half of the engine's useful life. The usefullife is specified on the
EmissionsControl Labelon the engine.
(b) GeneralEmissionsWarranty Coverage:Generacwarrants to the original, end-use purchaser/ownerof the new engine or equipment andto each
subsequentpurchaser/ownerthat the ECSwhen installed was:
(1) Designed,built and equippedso as to conform with all applicable regulations;and
(2) Freefrom defects in materialsand workmanship which causethe failure of a warranted part at any time duringthe ECSWarranty Period.
(c) The warranty on emissions-relatedparts will be interpretedas follows:
(1) Any warranted part that is not scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein the Owner's Manualshall be warrantedfor the ECS
Warranty Period.If any such part fails during the ECSWarrantyPeriod, it shall be repairedor replaced by Generacaccording to Subsection
(4) below. Any such part repairedor replaced underthe EOSWarranty shall be warranted for the remainderof the ECSWarranty Period.
(2) Any warranted part that is scheduled only for regular inspection as specified in the Owner's Manualshall be warrantedfor the EOSWarranty
Period.A statement in the Owner's Manualto the effect of "repair or replace as necessary"shall not reducethe ECSWarranty Period.Any
such part repairedor replaced underthe ECSWarranty shall be warranted for the remainder of the ECSWarranty Period.
(3) Any warranted part that is scheduledfor replacementas required maintenancein the Owner's Manualshall be warrantedfor the period of time
prior to first scheduledreplacement point for that part. If the part fails prior to the first scheduled replacement,the part shall be repairedor
replacedby Generacaccording to Subsection (4) below. Any such emissions-related part repairedor replaced underthe ECSwarranty shall
be warranted for the remainderof the period prior to the first scheduledreplacementpoint for that part.
(4) Repairor replacement of any warranted, emissions-relatedpart underthis ECSWarrantyshall be performed at no charge to the owner at a
GeneracAuthorizedWarrantyService Facility.
(5) Notwithstandingthe provisions of subsection (4) above, warranty services or repairs must be provided at GeneracAuthorizedService
Facilities.
(6) When the engineis inspectedby a GeneracAuthorizedWarranty Service Facility,the purchaser/ownershall not be held responsiblefor
diagnostic costs if the repair is deemedwarrantable.
(7) Throughout the ECSWarrantyPeriod, Generacshall maintaina supply of warranted emission-relatedparts sufficient to meet the expected
demandfor such parts.
(8) Any Generacauthorizedand approvedemission-relatedreplacementparts may be used in the performance of any ECSWarrantymaintenance
or repairs andwill be provided without chargeto the purchaser/owner.Such use shall not reduce Generac'sEOSWarranty obligations.
(9) No modifications, other than those explicitlyapproved by Generac,may be made to the generator.Unapprovedmodifications void this ECS
Warranty and shall be sufficient ground for disallowing an EOSWarrantyclaim.
(10) Generacshall not be held liable hereunderfor failures of any non-authorizedreplacementparts, or failures of any authorizedparts caused by

Fora periodof two yearsfrom the date of originalsale, GeneracPowerSystems, Inc. (Generac)warrants its LP Seriesgeneratorswill befree from defects
in materialsandworkmanshipfor the items andperiodset forth below. Generacwill, at its discretion,repairor replaceany part that, upon examination,
inspectionandtesting by Generacor a GeneracAuthorizedWarrantyServiceDealer,is found to be defective.Any equipmentthat the purchaser/ownerclaims
to be defectivemust be returnedto and examinedby the nearestGeneracAuthorizedWarrantyServiceDealer.All transportationcosts underthe warranty,
includingreturnto the factory,are to be borne andprepaidby the purchaser/owner.This warranty appliesonly to GeneracLP Seriesportable generatorsand

cilindros oxidados o dahados.

El proceso de purga debe ser hecho pot su proveedor de gas
propano. (Los cilindros de un proveedor de intercambio deben
haber sido ya purgados y Ilenados apropiadamente)
Levante el tanque y coloquelo cuidadosamente en el soporte de
tanque de la parte posterior y el arc de refuerzo del tanque con
el punto de conexion de cara al frente del generador (Figura 10).
Retire el tapon de seguridad de la va.lvuladel cilindro.
Enganche el conector firmemente en la va.lvula. Recuerde, gire el
acoplamiento desde la manguera a la derecha para apretar o en
sentido horario.
Siempre ubique el cilindro de modo que la conexion entre la va.lvula
y el regulador no cause curvas filosas o dobleces en la manguera.

sometidosa abuso o negligenciapot parte del usuario.Para recibir
el valortotal de la garantia,el operadordebe mantenerel generador
como se indicaen estemanual.
Son necesarios algunos ajustes periodicos para mantener
adecuadamente
su generador.
Todoslos ajustesen la seccionMantenimientode estemanualdeben
realizarse,al menos,una vez pot estacion.Siga los requisitosen el
cuadro"Programade mantenimiento".
NOTA:
Una vez al a_o, reemplacela bujia y el filtro de aire. Una bujia
nueva y un filtro de aire limpio aseguran la mezcla adecuada
de combustibley aire y ayudana que su motorfuncione mejor
y dure mas tiempo.

3.3.1 MANTEN/M/EtVTO
DELGEtVERADOR
El mantenimientodel generadorconsiste en mantenerla unidad
limpia y seca. Operey almacenela unidaden un ambienteseco y
limpio donde no este expuestaa mucho polvo, suciedad,humedad
o a ningt_nvaporcorrosivo. Las ranurasdel aire de enfriamientodel
generadorno debenquedarbloqueadascon nieve,hojas o algunotro
materialextraho.
Compruebela limpieza del generador con frecuencia y limpielo
cuando haya polvo, suciedad,aceite,humedadu otras sustancias
extrahasvisiblesen la superficieexterior.

* Puedeusarseairede bajapresion(sinexceder25 PSi) parasoplar
la suciedad.Reviselasranurasy aberturasdelaire deenfriamiento
del generador.Estasaberturasse debenmantenerlimpias y sin
obstrucciones.

3.4 SERViCIODELFILTRODEAIRE
Si seusaun filtro de airesucio,el motorpuedeoperarincorrectamente
o dar_arse.Limpie el filtro de aire cada 50 horas o una vez a] argo
(Figura16). Realizarla limpiezao el reemplazoma.sa menudosi se
operabajocondicionesde muchopolvo.El numerode parteparaesta
limpiadorde aire es 0J47870141.

2. Lave con agua jabonosa.Seque el filtro exprimiendolocon un

Use un dado de 21mm (13/16") para retirar la bujia.

Fije el espaciamiento de ia nueva bujia en 0.70-0.80 mm (0.028
- 0.031 pig.). Coloque ia bujia con el espaciamiento correcto en
el cabeza] de] cilindro y apriete Io suficiente para asegurarse de
que la junta comprima a (18.0 a 21.6 Libras/pie) (Figura 15).

Reconecte el cable de la bujia y reemplace el panel lateral de
escape y siete (7) sujetadores.

Por un periodo de dos (2) afios a partir de la fecha de la venta original, Generac Power Systems, Inc. (Generac)garantiza que sus generadores SerieLP estaranlibres
de defectos en los materiales y fabricacion para los articulos y durante el periodo que se indica a continuacion. Generac,a su discrecion, decidira si repara o reemplaza
cualquier parte que, despues de set examinada, inspeccionada y probada por Generac o por un Centro de Servicio de Garantia Autorizadode Generac,se identifica como

NOTA: Paralos fines de esta garantia "uso por consumidores" significa uso personal por el comprador original en su hogar residencialo uso recreativo. Esta garantia no
se aplica alas unidadesusadas para la Energia principal en lugar del servicio publico donde exista el servicio publico de energiaelectrica o donde normalmente no
haya servicio publico de energiaelectrica. Una vez que un generador se haya usado comercialmenteo para alquiler,sera considerado un generador no para uso por
consumidores para los fines de esta garantia.
Todaslas asignaciones del costo de la garantia estan sujetas alas condiciones definidas en el Manual de la Politica del Servicio de Generac.

PARA LO S|GU|ENTE;

• Los generadores portatiles Generacconstruidos antes de junio de 2010.
Los generadores portatiles Generacque utilicen partes de repuesto originales.
• El costo del mantenimiento normal y de los ajustes.
Las fallas ocasionadas por cualquier combustible, o aceite contaminados,o por niveles inadecuados de aceite.
• Las reparacioneso los diagnosticos realizados por individuos ajenos a los centros autorizados por Generacque no hayan sido autorizados por escrito por GeneracPower
Systems.
Las fallas, entre otros, por el desgaste normal, accidentes, mal uso, abuso, negligenciao uso incorrecto. Como con todos los dispositivos mecanicos, las piezas de los
motores de Generacnecesitan servicio y reemplazarseperiodicamente paratenet el desempefio esperado. Esta garantia no cubrira la reparacion cuando el uso normal haya
agotado la vida de una pieza o delmotoE
Las fallas causadas por cualquiercausa externa o de fuerza mayor,tales como, colision, robo, vandalismo, disturbios o guerras, holocausto nuclear, incendio, congelacion,
rayos, terremotos, tormentas, granizo, erupcion volcanica, agua o inundacion, tornado o huracan.
Los dafios ocasionados por infestaciones de roedoreso insectos.
Los productos que sean modificados o alterados de una forma no autorizadapor escrito por Generac.
Cualquierdafio incidental, consecuente o indirecto ocasionado por defectos en los materiales o fabricacion, o cualquier retraso en la reparacion o el reemplazode la pieza
defectuosa.
• Las fallas por mal uso.
Los costos detelefono, telefono movil, facsimil, acceso a internetu otros costos de comunicacion.
Los costos generadospor "instrucciones del cliente" o por la Iocalizaciony correccion de fallas para las que no se encuentre ningun defecto de fabricacion.
El equipo de alquiler usado mientras se realizanlas reparacionesde la garantia.
Los envios nocturnos o los costos de envios especiales para las piezas de reemplazo.
Las horas extras, o el trabajo en dias feriados o de emergencia.
Las baterias de arranque, los fusibles, las bombillas de luz y los liquidos del motoK
