Important safety information
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING i280!
• Always treat your product with care and keep it in a clean and dust-free place.
• Do not expose i280 to moisture or humidity.
• Do not expose i280 to extreme high or low temperatures.
• Do not attempt to disassemble your product.
• Use only the chargers approved by Group Sense Mobile-Tech Limited. The use of any
other type may invalidate any approval and warranty. No reverse charging with other
chargers, they may have inverse polarity.
• Never use the charger if the plug is damaged.
• Never touch the charger if your hands/feet are wet.
• Do not expose the charger to water, it may cause electrical fires.
• Do not repair the charger yourself for your safety.
• To reduce the risk of fire or burns, do not disassemble, crush or puncture the battery.
• For i280 model, only approved chargers that are designed for the model can be used with i280 unit.

Description
Roll leftwards/rightwards to select application;
roll upwards/downwards to select item; press
to enter. Show the status for Wi-Fi and battery

Battery
The i280 is using irreplaceable battery. We recommendthat you fully charge battery before
you use i280 for the first time.
To charge the battery
1. Connect your charger to USB port.
2. Plug the charger to main electrical outlet.
Note: You can use i280 normally during charging battery with AC adaptor; on the
contrary, i280 cannot be used if charging with USB.
Inserting/removing extension card
You can copy photos and songs to the extension card.
To insert extension card
1. Open the extension card slot on the top of i280. Insert the card into card slot.
2. Close the extension card slot.
To remove extension card
1. Open the extension card slot.
2. Press the inserted card to release and then remove
card.

Turning on/off i280
To turn on i280
1. Press and hold the Power key on the top of i280.
2. The boot up animation is shown. It will boot to main menu in 20 seconds.
To turn off i280
1. Press and hold the Power key on the top of i280 to turn it off.
To suspend i280
1. If i280 is on, press the Power key to suspend, so as to save power.

In main menu, roll the Navigation track ball leftwards/rightwards to select an application you
need, and press it to enter.

Wi-Fi connection settings
1. In main menu, roll the Navigation track ball leftwards/ rightwards to select “Utilities” and
press it to enter.
2. Select “Wi-Fi Connection Manager“ and press the Navigation track ball to enter. The
WLAN is off by default.
3. Press the Navigation track ball to enable WLAN, i280 will search for available Wi-Fi
network automatically.
4. Roll the Navigation track ball upwards/downwards to select a Wi-Fi network record and
press it to connect.
5. It will access to “Wireless Properties” if there is no profile, user needs to create one. (If
there is profile for the selected Wi-Fi network, it will access to connecting screen directly)
6. Enter encryption key when needed. (The icon

will be displayed for the Encrypted Wi-Fi

To make configuration in Power save setting to save battery power.
1. Select Power Save Setting in Setting screen.
2. Press the Navigation track ball to select Screen-Off Timer, roll the Navigation track ball
downwards to select screen-off time, press it to confirm.
3. Roll the Navigation track ball downwards to select WLAN Power Save, and press it to
select On/Off.
4. Press the Return key and back to Setting screen.
Note: Press the Power key to activate i280 when it is in suspend mode; press any key
to activate the suspended i280 when you are playing songs in background playing
mode.
Backlight setting
To set the i280 backlight brightness in Backlight setting. Two modes for you to select.
1. Select Backlight Setting in Setting screen.
2. You can select Using the battery power or Using the external power. Roll the Navigation
track ball leftwards/ rightwards to set the backlight brightness.
3. Press the Return key and back to Setting screen.
Date & Time setting
To set the date, time, date & time format and time zone in Date & Time setting.
1. Select Date & Time Setting in Setting screen.
2. To set date and time: press the Navigation track ball to select year, and roll the track ball
upwards/downwards to set the year; roll the track ball leftwards/ rightwards to select month,
day and others. Press the Navigation track ball when finish setting.
3. Roll the Navigation track ball downwards and press it to select the date format you like.
4. Set time format, time zone and daylight saving as point3.
5. Press the Return key and back to Setting screen.

To set the system language, theme, and view the information of battery, system and network
in System setting.
System language setting
1. Select System Setting in Setting screen.
2. Then select System Language.
3. Press the Navigation track ball to select a language you need. Press the track ball again to
confirm your selection.
Theme setting
1. Select Theme Setting in System setting.
2. Press the Navigation track ball and roll it downwards to select the theme you like.
3. Press the Navigation track ball to confirm your selection.
View infomation
1. Select Battery information, System information or Network information in System setting.
2. Press the Navigation track ball to view the details.
3. Press the Return key and back to System setting.
