BK-A433W
ARGUS Wireless Bypass Keypad
Product Overview
The ARGUS BK‐A433W Wireless Bypass Keypad is used at egress points to:
• Override a magnetic door lock in the event a staff member takes the re‐
sponsibility to allow egress to a Tag that is not normally allowed through
the egress point. A unique PIN code is required to be entered on the Key‐
pad in order to perform this function, which is recorded, along with the
time of day, within GuardRFID’s system.
• Annunciate Warnings and Alarms at egress points.
The Keypad only requires power to operate, and has radio transmitter to commu‐
nicate with the Argus Tag Reader/Controller that it is associated with at the re‐
spective egress location.
Application
The Keypad requires 12VDC to operate. It is usually placed within the Low Fre‐
quency field created by GuardRFID’s Tag Exciter, as shown in the diagram below.

When a prohibited Tag enters the associated Tag Exciter field, and a door or ele‐
vator is sensed to be closed, the Keypad emits an audible Warning signal, and the
yellow LED flashes. If the door is sensed to be open when the Tag enters the field,
a full Alarm condition will be declared and a much louder audible signal is emit‐
ted, and the red LED will flash. These Warning and Alarm audible sounds are ter‐
minated upon entering a pre‐determined unique PIN code.
