NOTE: When a new accessory is connected, paired, disconnected, or powered off, it may take several seconds for the audio from received radio calls to be routed appropriately. Transmit and Receive Operation (Cont.) When transmitting, the operator’s voice is picked up by: • The microphone in the wireless headset or audio accessory if one is paired. • If no audio accessory is paired with the Bluetooth Adapter, or the paired wireless audio accessory is turned off or moved out of the Bluetooth Adapter’s range, the internal microphone in the attached radio is used. The Bluetooth Adapter may temporarily mute the radio’s speaker, causing incoming calls to be missed, in any of the following situations: • The adapter is attached to the two-way radio and no wireless headset or wired accessory is paired. • The wireless headset is turned off or runs out of battery power. • The wireless headset goes out of range of the Bluetooth adapter. NOTE: This mute state only occurs until the BT timeout (5 seconds) is reached or BT is disabled.
