This tag has an adhesive backing with a release liner to provide protection until installation canbe obtained.   For best results mount tag to lower left (driver’s) side of windshield.  If this can not beobtained locate tag anywhere in the far left (driver’s) side.  See Figure 2 below for the desired location.Installation Procedure:1.  The tag may be in a transport (lock mode), in which case it does not transmit data to the reader.  Ifso, it may be taken out of lock mode by bringing it into read range of a HID MaxiProx reader forapproximately 12 seconds.  This may be done either before or after installation into the vehicle.  Oncethis is done, the tag will operate normally.2.  Determine the appropriate mounting position of the tag.  Clean area completely free from grease, oil orany other debris, using rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner.3.  Remove the release liner from Velcro strips. Position and place strips firmly against back of tag.Figure 1.  Place mating strips on inside of windshield. Put even pressure on entire surface of strips toensure adhesion.Figure 1.
