Check related laws and regulations on
using mobile devices and their accesso
ries and always make sure to obey them.
The use of such devices may be prohibited
or restricted in certain areas.
Your mobile device lets you communicate
through voice and data almost anywhere and
anytime. When driving a car, driving comes
first. If you choose to use your mobile device
while driving, remember the following:
ᕢ
Some laws do not allow the use of hand
held devices while driving.
Always obey local laws and, even if permit-
ted, do not use your handheld device unless
it is safe to do so.
ᕢ
Get to know your mobile device and
features.
Knowledge of your mobile device and its fea-
tures will help you to use the features more
easily.
ᕢ
Place your mobile device in easy reach.
Be able to access your mobile device with-
out removing your eyes from the road.
ᕢ
Do not search for phone numbers while
driving.
Searching through your address book takes
attention away from driving safely.
ᕢ
Let the other person know you are driv
ing when necessary, suspend the call in
heavy traffic or inclement weather.
Rain, sleet, snow, ice or heavy traffic may
increase the risks of driving.
ᕢ
Use your mobile device to call for help.
Dial 11 or other local emergency number in
case of fire, traffic accident, or medical
emergencies
Warning
Ā
Driving while distracted can result in a loss
of vehicle control that may lead to an acci-
dent, severe personal injury, and death. The
drivers primary responsibility is in the safe
and legal operation of a vehicle, and use of
any handheld devices, other equipment, or
vehicle systems which take the driver s
eyes, attention and focus away from the safe
operation of a vehicle or which are not per-
missible by law should never be used during
operation of the vehicle.
