7WWW.jbl.comBluetooth pairinGBefore you can use your JBL On Tour™ XTB system with a Bluetooth-enabled product, you must pair it with that product. To pair: Make sure your JBL 1.  On Tour XTB system is turned on. The JBL On Tour XTB unit automatically goes into Pairing/Discoverable mode, represented by a constant blue indicator light. Put your 2.  Bluetooth-enabled device in Pairing mode so the devices can “see” each other. (Refer to the Bluetooth-enabled device’s user’s guide for directions and details about putting it into Pairing mode.) The JBL On Tour XTB unit will be represented as  “OnTourXTB” on your Bluetooth-enabled device. The JBL On Tour XTB password is 8888. The JBL 3.  On Tour XTB system is successfully paired and ready to use when the blue indicator light flashes. Note: Bluetooth pairing between two devices does not have to be repeated after a successful initial pairing, unless the JBL On Tour XTB system has been removed from the Bluetooth-enabled device’s Bluetooth device list.1.listeninG to music from a  Bluetooth-enabled device1.  Make sure the JBL On Tour XTB system is paired (see Bluetooth Pairing section).2.   Go to the Bluetooth-enabled device’s music player and play music. 8jbl on tour Xtb user GuidelisteninG to a phone call from a Bluetooth-enabled device1.  Make sure the JBL On Tour™ XTB speaker is paired (see Bluetooth Pairing section).2.   When you hear your Bluetooth-enabled device’s ringtone from the JBL On Tour XTB system, press the MFB “ ” button to answer the phone call.  An incoming phone call can be rejected by pressing and holding the MFB “ ”  button on the JBL On Tour XTB unit for two seconds.  To answer a second incoming phone call while ending the first call, press the MFB “ ”  button for two seconds during the phone call  To mute a phone call, press both Volume buttons on the JBL On Tour XTB system or press the Mute “ ” button on the remote control. To unmute the phone call, press either the Volume button on the JBL On Tour XTB system or press the Mute “” button on the remote control.3. Connect the auxiliary device to the JBL On Tour XTB system using the supplied audio cable.1.  Press the Power button on the rear of the JBL On Tour XTB system. A green LED will indicate that the unit 2. is on.Control music playback through the auxiliary device.3. Charge cables are not included, so if a USB charge cable was not provided with your mobile phone or portable music player, find out whether one is available from the manufacturer or an authorized dealer. (Mobile phones and portable music players that require data communication in order to charge will not charge from the JBL On Tour XTB system.) There is no power to the unit.The source selection is incorrect.The source device is not capable of sending music via Bluetooth technology.Make sure the wall power outlet or power strip has power; make sure all switches for the outlet/power strip are on and that all switches for the speaker system are on.Ensure that the auxiliary cable is properly connected to an external audio device.Turn up the volume.Check the system with a known good source.Connect the Aux In cable to the headphone jack on your audio device.Replace the source device with a Bluetooth wireless technology enabled source device.Is the LED on? If the LED is not on, power is not getting to your JBL On Tour XTB system.Try the solutions shown.Sound comes from only one side/channel. The audio cable is not seated properly. Make sure the Aux In cable is seated all the way into the JBL On Tour XTB system. If you want to use a longer cable, make sure it’s a 3.5mm mini-jack stereo male-to-male cable.There is distortion (static, crack-ling or hissing sounds). The noise may be caused by interfer-ence from a monitor, cell phone or other transmitting device.Turn the monitor or other device off to see whether the noise is eliminated.Move the JBL On Tour XTB cables farther away from the monitor or other device.There is too much bass or treble. The JBL On Tour XTB system is being overdriven by an amplified audio source. Ensure that the JBL On Tour XTB system is connected to an appropriate source device.Make sure that all signal cables are inserted snugly into receptacles.The volume level may be too high. Check the volume of the source device. Some  devices will distort the output signal if the volume is set to maximum.Check the EQ setting on your source device. JBL, Inc., recommends that the source device EQ be set to Flat or Off.Your JBL On Tour XTB speaker emits a loud hum or buzzing noise. The input cable is not plugged in properly. Check the input cable connection.The speaker experiences radio frequency interference or picks up a radio station.The input cable may be  picking up interference. Wrap up excess input cable in order to make it as short as possible.When streaming music using Bluetooth technology, the sound from the JBL On Tour XTB speaker lacks stereo quality.There is a Bluetooth compatibility issue between the JBL On Tour XTB unit and the source device.Ensure that the source device has the latest software.
