MAXIMUM WEIGHT 80lbs/36kg ASSEMBLY “RIDING” YOUR PONY Step 1 Head Body Step 2 Head Turning Mechanism Head Step 1a Your pony can tell when you’re sitting on her to have a “ride”! When you sit on your pony, she will move her head up and down, blink her eyes and twitch her ears while making soft sounds. Brush your pony with her special grooming brush to keep her coat healthy. When sitting on your pony, tap her hindquarters with your hand and she’ll go into “riding mode”. She will make walking sounds and also move her eyes, ears and head. After a few seconds, she’ll stop. Just tap her hindquarters to get her going again! • To prevent staining, wipe off dirt immediately. • Do not get wet; to remove stains use only a slightly damp cloth. • Do not use detergent or stain removers. • If pony gets wet, remove batteries and let dry; once pony is completely dry, replace batteries. • Avoid spilling food or beverages on the pony. • Do not throw or kick the pony, and do not push sharp objects through the speaker openings. • Do not leave pony in direct sunlight; high temperatures will destroy the mechanism. To clean your pony, gently brush her with a cloth or soft brush to loosen any dirt. Then use a slightly damp cloth to remove stains. Wait for your pony to stop moving before you take her into “riding mode.” Body Fasten screw to left side of head-turning mechanism. Pull back head plush. Snap head onto body. STEP 1A - VERY IMPORTANT – this step helps ensure that your pony’s head and neck have adequate support. Watch an assembly demo online at www. furrealfriends.com! For questions on assembly, call Hasbro Consumer Affairs at 1-800-327-8264. GROOMING YOUR PONY Step 3 Fasten 2 screws onto the top of the head-turning mechanism. Tap hindquarters Step 4 front Clip side faces front of pony. Snap in electrical connector clip from head into body. Make sure clip side of connector faces toward front of pony. 1 A. Zip head and body plush together. Note To unfasten zipper, press button on zipper clip to release. B. Snap zipper pull into clip at end of zipper. Note: If you have any concerns or questions about this toy, please do not return it to the store. Instead, call Hasbro Consumer Affairs at 1-800-327-8264 for expert advice and answers. 6 FEEDING YOUR PONY TAKING CARE OF YOUR PONY When you “feed” your pony her carrot, she will open her mouth and start to “eat”. If you “feed” her the carrot more than 6 times in a row, she will shake her head because she feels full. Your pony will move her head and twitch her ear toward the loudest sound she hears. Call her name when you are standing at her side, and she will move her head/neck in your direction! (If there is a lot of background noise, your pony may not respond when you call its name.) If you lose her carrot, you can put other pretend food in her mouth and she will “eat”. Don’t put your fingers in her mouth, and never give real food to your pony. If the room suddenly becomes dark, your pony will get sleepy and go to sleep. If it is dark in the room and the lights come on suddenly while your pony is asleep, she’ll lift her head and open her eyes. If your pony is left alone for a while, she will go into “hangout” mode. She will move her head a little, blinking and twitching her ears. She will whinny and neigh a bit to get your attention! After a few minutes in hangout mode, pony will go into “power save” mode. In this mode, pony will rest with her eyes open if the room is light, and will go to sleep if the room is dark (or starts to darken). 5 TO INSERT BATTERIES Use a Phillips/cross head screwdriver (not included) to loosen screw in battery compartment (screw remains attached).
