If animproperly-coded key (or otherdevice) is used, the engine’s fuelsystem is disabled.The system may not recognize yourkey’s coding if another immobilizerkey or other metal object (i.e. keyfob) is near the ignition switch whenyou insert the key.If the system repeatedly does notrecognize the coding of your key,contact your dealer.Do not attempt to alter this systemor add other devices to it. Electricalproblems could result that may makeyour vehicle undriveable.If you have lost your key and cannotstart your engine, contact yourdealer.When you turn the ignition switch tothe ON (II) position, the immobilizersystem indicator should come onbriefly, then go off. If the indicatorstarts to blink, it means the systemdoes not recognize the coding of thekey. +Inside the transmitter, separatethe inner cover from the keypadby releasing the two tabs on thecover.Remove the old battery from theback of the inner cover, and notethe polarity.
