2 SPEKTRUM DX2E ACTIVE USER GUIDEENThrottle PortSteering Port Bind PlugAntennaBind ButtonRECEIVER COMPATIBILITYThe DX2E is compatible with all Spektrum™ DSMR® and DSM2® receivers.RECEIVER CONNECTION AND IN-STALLATIONFAILSAFEFailsafe positions are also set during binding. In the unlikely event that the radio link is lost during use, the receiver will drive the servos to their preprogrammed failsafe positions (normally full brakes and straight steering). If the receiver is turned on prior to turning on the transmitter, the receiver will enter failsafe mode. When the transmitter is turned on, normal control is resumed. For more information on setting the failsafe, refer to the Binding a Receiver section above.ReceiverSteering ServoThrottle ServoBatteryBattery To MotorElectronicSpeed ControlSteering ServoReceiverTYPICAL ELECTRIC INSTALLATIONInstall the Receiver in your vehicle using double-sided foam servo tape. Foam servo tape will hold the receiver in place and help isolate it from vibrations. Mount the antenna up and away from the vehicle in an antenna tube. The higher up the antenna is, the better signal it will receive.CAUTION: Do not cut the antenna.TYPICAL GAS INSTALLATIONBINDING A RECEIVERBinding is the process of programming the receiver to recognize the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) code of a single specific transmitter. When a receiver is bound to a transmitter, the receiver will only respond to that specific transmitter. The DX2E and SR310 are bound at the factory, but if you need to rebind for any reason, please follow these steps:1. With the receiver off, insert the bind plug into the BIND port on the receiver.2. Power the receiver through any other port. The green LED will flash continuously, indicating the receiver is in bind mode.3. With the steering wheel and throttle trigger in the desired preset failsafe positions (see the Failsafe section on this page for more information), press and hold the bind button and turn on the transmitter. The green LED on the front of the transmitter will flash within three seconds, indicating the transmitter is in bind mode. Release the bind button when the green LED flashes. Continue to hold the failsafe positions until the binding process is complete.4. The LED on the receiver will glow solid when the transmitter and receiver are bound.5. Remove the bind plug and store it in a convenient place.You must rebind when:• Different failsafe positions are desired e.g., when throttle or steering reversing has been changed. • Changing receiver types e.g., changing from a DSM2 receiver to DSMR receiver.• Binding the receiver to a different transmitter.Solid Green Battery is good (Above 4V)Flashing Green Battery voltage is critically low.Replace batteries (below 4V)BATTERY LED MONITOR
3SPEKTRUM DX2E ACTIVE USER GUIDEENSteering Trim DialThrottle Trim DialSteering Rate DialSERVO REVERSINGIf a right steering command does not result in the wheels turning right (and vice versa), the channel may need to be reversed. To reverse a channel, switch the position of the correlating switch—“N” is for normal, “R” is for reverse.THROTTLE LIMITERThe Throttle Limiter switch limits the throttle ouput from 50/70/100%.This is useful for limiting motor ouput on slick or loose traction tracks or to limit vehicle speeds for new drivers.3-POSITION SWITCHThe 3-Position Switch is used to control a third channel and is factory preset at -100%/Neutral/100%.STEERING TRIMThe steering trim dial is used to adjust the steering trim when the wheel is centered. Rotating the dial changes the steering trim (the steering at rest position). Normally, the steering trim is adjusted until the vehicle tracks straight.THROTTLE TRIMThe throttle trim dial is used to adjust the throttle trim when the throttle stick is released (neutral position). This is typically used to adjust the brakes. Rotating the dial causes the throttle trim (the throttle position at rest) to be changed.CHANGING THE TRAVEL ADJUST SETTINGSThe travel function supports precise endpoint adjustments in each direction for the steering and throttle channels. 1. Hold the trigger in the full brake position and the steering wheel in full right position while powering on the transmitter. The LED flashes rapidly, indicating the programming mode is active.2. Throttle End Point: Hold the trigger in the full throttle position. Turn the TH TRIM knob to adjust the full throttle end point.3. Brake End Point: Hold the trigger in the full brake position. Turn the TH TRIM knob to adjust the full brake end point. Return the trigger to the center position.4. Left Steering End Point: Hold the steering wheel in the full left position. Turn the ST TRIM knob to adjust the left end point.5. Right Steering End Point: Hold the steering wheel in the full right position. Turn the ST TRIM knob to adjust the right end point. Return the steering wheel to the center position.6. Power off the transmitter to save the travel adjust settings. The minimum Travel is 75%, and the Maximum travel is 150%. The default travel settings are 125% steering and 100% throttle.IMPORTANT: If the travel is changed on the DX2E, you must rebind and calibrate AVC® Receivers.STEERING RATE AND GAIN CONTROLSteering rate (also known as dual rate) allows on-the-fly steering travel adjustments to be made using the ST Rate dial. Steering rate limits the amount of travel of the steering servo. The steering rate cannot be greater than 100%. When the DX2E is bound to a DSMR® AVC® receiver, the ST RATE knob controls the sensor gain value. The application displays a dashboard for a selected vehicle and allows for easy setting changes andaccess to model memory. 1. Make sure the transmitter is off.2. Remove the back cover plate from the back side of transmitterby removing one screw. Tip: A small flat blade screwdriver may be used to gently prythe back cover plate off once the screw is removed.3. Firmly seat the Bluetooth Module into the back of the DX2E and secure with the screw removed in step 2.For more information on the Bluetooth Module vist www.spektrumrc.comSPEEDOMETER MODULE:The Optional Speedometer Module (sold separately) provides an easy-to-use, large format reading of your speed. The Speedometer module is also used to input your roll-out and pole count.IMPORTANT: The Speedometer Module requires a telemetry module or a telemetry receiver and a brushless motor sensor. 1. Make sure the transmitter is off. 2. Remove the screw installed in the DX2E transmitter case as shown. 3. Remove the cover on the top of the radio using a small flat blade screw driver to gently pry it off.4. Please note that original boxes may be included, but are not designed to withstand the rigors of shipping without additional protection. Ship via a carrier that provides tracking and insurance for lost or damaged parcels, as Horizon is not responsible for merchandise until it arrives and is accepted at our facility. If you do not have internet access, please contact Horizon Product Support to obtain a RMA number along with instructions for submitting your product for service. In dem unvorhergesehenden Fall, dass die RF Verbindung unterbrochen wird, fährt der Empfänger die Servos in die vorprogrammierten Failsafepositionen. Sollte der Empfänger vor dem Sender eingeschaltet werden geht der Empfänger in den Failsafemode. Wird dann der Sender eingeschaltet haben, Sie wieder normale Kontrolle über das Modell. Für mehr Informationen über das Einstellen der Faisafepositionen sehen Sie bitte im Abschnitt-Binden des Empfänger nach.TYPISCHER ELEKTROEINBAUBefestigen Sie den Empfänger mit doppelseitigen Schaumklebeband. Das Klebeband hält den Empfänger in Position und schützt ihn vor Vibrationen. Schieben Sie die Antenne in ein Antennenröhrchen und stellen dieses aufrecht. Je höher die Antenne steht, desto besser wird sie das Signal empfangen.ACHTUNG: Schneiden oder kürzen Sie die Antenne nicht.TYPISCHER VERBRENNEREINBAUBINDEN DES EMPFÄNGERSBinden ist der Prozess der Programmierung des Empfänger mit dem eindeutigen Signal eines spezifischen Senders (GUID). Ist der Empfänger an den Sender gebunden, wird nur er auf die Signale des Senders reagieren. Die DX2E und der SR310 sind ab Werk gebunden. Sollten Sie diese neu binden wollen folgen Sie bitte dieses Schritten:1. Stecken Sie mit ausgeschalteten Empfänger den Bindestecker in den Bindeanschluß des Empfängers.2. Schalten Sie den Empfänger durch einen beliebigen anderen Anschluß ein. Die grüne LED blinkt und zeigt damit den Binde Mode an.3. Mit dem Gashebel und Lenkrad in den gewünschten Preset Failsafepositionen (siehe dazu den Abschnitt Failsafe auf dieser Seite) drücken und halten Sie den Bindeknopf gedrückt und schalten den Sender ein. Die grüne LED auf der Vorderseite des Senders blinkt innerhalb von drei Sekunden und zeigt damit an, dass sich der Sender im Bindemode befindet. Lassen Sie den Knopf los wenn die grüne LED blinkt. Halten Sie die Failsafepositionen bis der Bindevorgang durchgeführt ist.4. Die LED auf dem Empfänger leuchtet und zeigt damit an, dass Sender und Empfänger gebunden sind. 5. Nehmen Sie den Bindestecker aus dem Bindeport herraus und heben ihn sorgfältig auf.Sie müssen den Bindevorgang wiederholen wenn:• Sie andere Failsafepositionen wünschen, oder wenn die Gas- oder Lenkfunktion reversiert wurden. • Wechsel der Empfängers von DSM2, DSMR oder Empfänger.• Sie den Empfänger an einen anderen Sender binden.Grün Batterie ist OK (über 4V)Grün blinkt Batteriespannung ist kritisch niedrig. Um den Kanal zu reversieren schalten Sie den dazugehörigen Schalter auf die andere Position - N steht für Normal, R für Reversiert. Sie können einen kleinen Schraubendreher nutzen um die Schalter zu bewegen.GASBEGRENZERÜber den Gasbegrenzerschalter wird die Drehzahlleistung von 50/70/100 % begrenzt. Dies ist insbesondere für die Beschränkung der Drehzahlleistung auf glatten Strecken oder Strecken mit geringer Bodenhaftung oder zur Begrenzung der Geschwindigkeit bei neuen Fahrern nützlich.3-POSITIONEN-SCHALTERDer 3-Positionen-Schalter steuert einen dritten Kanal und ist ab Werk auf -100 %/Neutral/100 % eingestellt.LENKUNGSTRIMMUNGMit dem Drehrad der Lenkungstrimmung können Sie die Trimmwerte nach Links und Rechts verändern. Mit diesem Drehrad können Sie den Geradeauslauf des Fahrzeuges einstellen.TRIMM DES GASKANALSMit dieser Trimfunktion können Sie eine Feinjustage des Gas und Bremsservos vornehmen. Zum Beispiel ist es möglich das Standgas bei einem Auto mit Verbrennungsmotor für die Kaltlaufphase zu erhöhen um ein Absterben des Motors zu verhindern.ÄNDERN DERSERVOWEGEINSTELLUNGENDie Servowegfunktion (Travel) unterstützt die präzise Endpunkteinstellung in beide Richtungen bei dem Gas- oder Steuerkanal. 1. Halten Sie den Gashebel in der Vollbremsposition und das Lenkrad voll nach rechts eingeschlagen während Sie den Sender einschalten. Die LED blinkt schnell und zeigt damit den aktivierten Programmiermode an.2. Vollgasendpunkt: Halten Sie den Gashebel in der Vollgasposition. Drehen Sie den Gastrimmknopf TH TRIM und den Vollgaspunkt einzustellen.3. Bremspunkt: Halten Sie den Gashebel in der Vollbremsposition. Drehen Sie den Gastrimmknopf um den Vollbremspunkt einzustellen. Bringen Sie den Gashebel dann zurück in die Mittelpostion.4. Endpunkt Lenkung Links: Halten Sie das Lenkrad voll nach links eingeschlagen. Drehen Sie den ST TRIM Knopf um den Lenkausschlag einzustellen. 5. Endpunkt Lenkung Rechts: Halten Sie das Lenkrad voll nach links eingeschlagen. Drehen Sie den ST TRIM Knopf um den Lenkausschlag einzustellen. 6. Schalten Sie den Sender aus um die Servowegeinstellungen zu speichern. Der Mindestweg ist 75% und der Maximumweg ist 150%. Der Standardweg bei der Lenkung beträg 125% und 100% bei der Gasfunktion.WICHTIG: Werden die Servowegwerte auf der DX2E geändert müssen Sie erneut binden und AVC Empfänger neu kalibrieren.LENKRATE UND GAINKONTROLLEDie Lenkrate (auch bekannt als Dual Rate) ermöglicht es bei dem Fahren mit dem ST Rate Drehregler den Lenkausschlag einzustellen. Der ST Rate Regler limitiert dann den möglichen Lenkausschlag kann aber nicht größer als 100% gestellt werden. Ist die DX2e an einen DSMR AVC Empfänger gebunden regelt der Drehregler den Gainwert (Verstärkungswert). Drehen Sie den Drehregler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn um den Wert zu verringern und im Uhrzeigersinn um ihn zu zu erhöhen.

Die Anwendung enthält ein Dashboard für ein ausgewähltes Fahrzeug und ermöglicht ein problemloses Änderung der Einstellungen und den Zugriff auf den Fahrzeugspeicher.1. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Sender ausgeschaltet ist.2. Si une perte de signal intervient durant l’utilisation du modèle, les servos seront automatiquement placés en position failsafe (généralement gaz au ralenti et direction au neutre). Quand le signal est rétabli, le failsafe se désactive, le contrôle se réactive. Pour plus d’informations concernant le paramétrage du failsafe, consultez la section d’affectation du récepteur.INSTALLATION TYPIQUE POUR MODÈLE ÉLECTRIQUELe récepteur doit être fixé à votre véhicule en utilisant de la mousse double-face. Cette mousse double-face maintient le récepteur en place tout en l’isolant des vibrations. L’antenne doit être guidée verticalement à l’aide d’un tube d’antenne. Plus l’antenne sera élevée, meilleure sera la réception.ATTENTION: Ne coupez jamais l’antenne.INSTALLATION TYPIQUE POURMODÈLE THERMIQUEAFFECTATION DU RÉCEPTEURL’affectation est le processus qui programme le récepteur pour qu’il reconnaisse le code (appelé GUID—Globally Unique Identifier) d’un émetteur spécifique. Quand un récepteur est affecté à un émetteur, le récepteur ne répondra qu’aux ordres donnés par cet émetteur ou mémoire modèle. La DX2E et le SR310 sont affectés ensemble à l’usine, cependant si vous devez effectuez une affectation, suivez les étapes suivantes:1. Récepteur hors tension, insérez la prise de bind dans le port bind du récepteur.2. Alimentez le récepteur par n’importe quel autre port. La DEL verte va se mettre à clignoter, indiquant que le récepteur est en mode affectation.3. Avec le volant et la gâchette en position désirée pour le failsafe (consultez la section failsafe pour plus d’informations), pressez et maintenez le bouton Bind tout en mettant l’émetteur sous tension. La DEL verte sur la façade de l’émetteur va clignoter durant 3 secondes indiquant que l’émetteur est en mode affectation. Relâchez le bouton dès que la DEL se met à clignoter. Continuez à maintenir les commandes en position de failsafe jusqu’a la fin du processus.4. La DEL du récepteur s’éclaire de façon fixe quand l’affectation est effectuée.5. RÉGULATEUR DE GAZL’interrupteur de régulateur de gaz permet de limiter les gaz à 50/70/100%. Il est très utile pour limiter la sortie moteur sur les pistes à faible traction ou pour limiter la vitesse du véhicule pour les pilotes débutants.INTERRUPTEUR 3 POSITIONSL’interrupteur 3 positions sert à contrôler une troisième voie et est préréglé en usine à -100%/Neutre/100%.TRIM DE DIRECTIONLe trim de direction vous permet de corriger la trajectoire du véhicule. Par exemple, si votre véhicule a tendance à aller vers la droite, ajustez le trim vers la gauche jusqu’à obtenir une trajectoire parfaitement rectiligne.TRIM DES GAZLe bouton rotatif du trim des gaz sert à ajuster le trim des gaz lorsque la manette des gaz est relâchée (position neutre). On s’en sert typiquement pour régler les freins. Une rotation du bouton entraîne un changement du trim des gaz (la position de la manette des gaz au repos).MODIFICATION DES COURSESLa fonction de réglage des courses permet un réglage précis des fins de courses dans chaque direction de la voie des gaz et de direction.1. Maintenez la gâchette sur frein maxi et le volant braqué à droite lors de la mise sous tension de l’émetteur. La DEL clignote rapidement, indiquant l’activation du mode programmation.2. Fin de course de l’accélérateur: Maintenez la gâchette en position plein gaz. Agissez sur le potentiomètre TH TRIM pour régler la fin de course de l’accélérateur.3. Fin de course du frein: Maintenez la gâchette en position frein. Agissez sur le potentiomètre TH TRIM pour régler la fin de course du frein. Relâchez la gâchette pour la remettre au neutre.4. Fin de course de la direction vers la gauche: Maintenez le volant totalement vers la gauche. Agissez sur le potentiomètre ST TRIM pour régler la fin de course de la direction vers la gauche.5. Fin de course de la direction vers la droite: Maintenez le volant totalement vers la droite. Agissez sur le potentiomètre ST TRIM pour régler la fin de course de la direction vers la droite. Relâchez la gâchette pour la remettre au neutre.6. Mettez l’émetteur hors tension pour enregistrer le réglage des fins de courses. La course minimale est de 75% et la course maximale est de 150%. le réglage par défaut est une course de 125% à la direction et une course de 100% aux gaz.IMPORTANT: Si vous modifiez les courses de la DX2E, vous devrez réaffecter et recalibrer les récepteurs AVC.DÉBATTEMENT DE LA DIRECTION ET CONTRÔLE DE LA SENSIBILITÉLe débattement de direction peut être ajusté à tout moment durant le pilotage. Cette fonction vous permet de réduire le débattement de la direction, le débattement ne peut être supérieur à 100%. Quand la DX2E est affectée à un récepteur DSMR AVC, le potentiomètre ST RATE contrôle la sensibilité du récepteur. Faites tourner le potentiomètre ST RATE dans le sens anti-horaire pour réduire la sensibilité. INSTALLAZIONE CON MOTORE A SCOPPIOCONNESSIONE (BINDING) DEL RICEVITOREQuesta procedura programma il ricevitore a riconoscere il numero unico GUID del “suo” trasmettitore. Una volta connesso, il ricevitore risponderà solo a quel trasmettitore. Il DX2E e l’SR310 sono già connessi (bound) in fabbrica, però se fosse necessario, è possibile rifare la connessione (rebind) seguendo la procedura:1. Con il ricevitore spento inserire il connettore per il “bind” nella presa dedicata sul ricevitore.2. Alimentare il ricevitore attraverso una porta qualsiasi. Il LED verde lampeggia continuamente indicando che il ricevitore è nel modo “bind”.3. Con il volantino dello sterzo e il grilletto del motore posizionati per il fail-safe (vedi la sezione riguardante il Fail-Safe per maggiori informazioni), accendere il trasmettitore tenendo premuto il suo pulsante di “bind”. Il LED verde, posto nella parte anteriore del trasmettitore, lampeggerà entro 3 secondi indicando che il trasmettitore è nel modo “bind”. Rilasciare il pulsante di “bind” mentre il LED verde sta lampeggiando. Mantenere i comandi in posizione di fail-safe finché la procedura non è terminata.4. Il LED sul ricevitore resta acceso fisso quando trasmettitore e ricevitore sono connessi.5. Per fare questo basta spostare l’interruttore relativo da una posizione all’altra (“N” sta per normale, “R” sta per reverse), aiutandosi con un piccolo cacciavite.LIMITATORE DEL GASL’interruttore che limita la potenza del motore del 50, 70 e 100% è utile su tracciati scivolosi o per limitare la velocità se il pilota è alle prime armi.INTERRUTTORE A TRE POSIZIONIL’interruttore a tre posizioni serve a controllare un terzo canale ed è impostato di fabbrica a -100%, neutro e 100%.TRIM DELLO STERZOServe per una regolazione fine dello sterzo quando il volantino sta al centro in posizione di riposo. Normalmente il trim dello sterzo si regola per far procedere diritto il veicolo.TRIM DEL THROTTLELa manopola del trim del throttle è usata per regolarlo quando la barra del throttle è rilasciata (posizione neutra). Normalmente si utilizza per regolare i freni. Ruotando la manopola si cambia il trim del throttle (throttle in posizione ferma).CAMBIARE LE REGOLAZIONIDELLE CORSEQuesta funzione permette di regolare i fine corsa con precisione in ogni direzione sia per il canale dello sterzo che per quello del motore. 1. Tenere il grilletto nella posizione di freno massimo mentre si accende il trasmettitore. Il LED lampeggia velocemente, indicando che la modalità di programmazione è attiva.2. Fine corsa motore: tenere il grilletto nella posizione di motore al massimo. Girare il TH TRIM per regolare il fine corsa al massimo.3. Fine corsa freno: tenere il grilletto nella posizione di freno al massimo. Girare il TH TRIM per regolare il fine corsa del freno. Riportare il grilletto nella posizione centrale.4. Fine corsa dello sterzo a sinistra: tenere il volantino tutto a sinistra. Girare il ST TRIM per regolare il fine corsa di sinistra.5. Fine corsa dello sterzo a destra: tenere il volantino tutto a destra. Girare il ST TRIM per regolare il fine corsa di destra.6. Spegnere il trasmettitore per salvare le regolazioni fatte. La corsa minima è al 75% e quella massima è al 150%. Le corse di default sono al 125% per lo sterzo e al 100% per il motore.IMPORTANTE: se si cambia la corsa sul DX2E, bisogna rifare la connessione (rebind) e calibrare i ricevitori AVC.CORSA DELLO STERZO E CONTROLLO DELLA SENSIBILITÀIl rateo di sterzata (detto anche dual rate) consente di effettuare regolazioni “on-the-fly” della corsa dello sterzo usando la manopola ST Rate. Il rateo di sterzata limita il valore della corsa del servo dello sterzo. Il rateo di sterzata non può essere superiore al 100%. Quando la radio DX2E è connessa a una ricevente DSMR con AVC, la manopola ST RATE controlla il valore di sensibilità del sensore. L’applicazione visualizza il dashboard di un veicolo selezionato e consente di apportare modifiche e di accedere alla memoria del modello con facilità.1. Accertarsi che la trasmittente sia spenta.2. Togliere una vite e rimuovere la copertura nera dalla parte posteriore della trasmittente.Consiglio: dopo aver rimosso la vite, usare un cacciavite piccolo a testa piatta per sollevare delicatamente la copertura posteriore.3.
