They’re also available at www.sprint.com.Battery CapacityYour router is equipped with a Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery. It allows you to recharge your battery before it is fully drained. The battery provides up to four hours of continuous data-transferring time. When the battery reaches 5% of its capacity, the battery icon blinks. When there are approximately two minutes of data-transferring time left, the router turns off.Charging the BatteryKeeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off, and you will lose any information you were just working on. To charge the battery installed on the router, plug the USB end (The larger) of USB cable into the router’s micro USB port, and the other end into an electrical outlet (as shown in Figure A) or an USB port of a compatible PC with the power is on (as shown in Figure B).ⅢCharging the battery while the router is on, the battery icon on the display screen changes dynamically and repeatedly in incremental sequence from the right to the left until the battery is fully charged.ⅢCharging the battery while the router is off, the charging animation on the display screen changes dynamically and repeatedly until the charging is over. Note: Long backlight settings, searching for service and other variables may reduce the battery’s data-transferring and standby times.Tip: Watch your router’s battery level indicator and charge the battery before it runs out of power.Note: Charging through a computer usually takes longer than charging through the battery charger.Figure A Figure B

When the router finds a signal, you are ready to begin making connections with other Wi-Fi devices. If your router is unable to find a signal after searching of 10 minutes by default or the period you have set , a Power Save feature is automatically activated. In Power Save mode, your router searches for a signal periodically without your intervention. You can also initiate a search for Sprint service by pressing any key (When your router is turned on).Your screen remains blank while your router is off (unless the battery is charging).Note: Before turn on the router, make sure the router has a charged or charging battery installed.Tip: The Power Save feature conserves your battery power when you are in an area where there is no signal.

20 4A. Important Safety InformationⅷAvoid dropping the router or battery. If the router or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, take it to a qualified service center for inspection.ⅷDo not disassemble the battery or solder the battery poles. Otherwise, it may lead to electrolyte leakage, overheating, fire, or explosion.ⅷIf battery electrolyte leaks out, ensure that the electrolyte does not touch your skin and eyes. When the electrolyte touches your skin or splashes into your eyes, wash your eyes with clean water immediately and consult a doctor.ⅷIf there is a case of battery deformation, color change, or abnormal heating while you charge or store the battery, remove the battery immediately and stop using it. Otherwise, it may lead to battery leakage, overheating, explosion, or fire.ⅷThe battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times before it eventually wears out. When the standby time and the data-transferring time are shorter than the normal time, replace the battery. Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. ⅷNew batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to charge. When charging your battery, keep it near room temperature. When storing your battery, keep it uncharged in a cool, dark, dry place. Some batteries perform best after several full charge and discharge cycles.ⅷDo not store the battery in high temperature areas for long periods of time. Leaving the battery in a hot vehicle may degrade long-term performance of Li-lon batteries. It is best to store the battery in temperatures that range from 32° F to 104° F (0° C to 40° C).ⅷBe sure to recycle or dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations or reference instruction supplied with your router. In some areas, the disposal of batteries in household or business trash may be prohibited.Safety of ChildrenThe router is not a toy. Important Safety InformationEnvironmental ProtectionⅷDo not dispose of the router and the accessories in a garbage can.ⅷDispose of the router according to the local regulations on disposing of packing materials, exhausted batteries and abandoned devices, and support the recycling activity.Specific Absorption Rates (SAR)This router meets guidelines for exposure to radio waves. This router is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver. As recommended by international guidelines, the router is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and include safety measures designed to ensure safety for all users, regardless of age and health. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is the unit of measurement for the amount of radio frequency energy absorbed by the body when using a device. The SAR value is determined at the highest certified power level in laboratory conditions, but the actual SAR level of the device when being operated can be well below the value. This is because the router is designed to use the minimum power required to reach the network. The SAR limit adopted by USA and Canada is 1.6 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported to the FCC and IC for this device type when tested for use in portable exposure conditions are as follows:WLAN 0.00341W/kgCDMA 0.813W/kgWiMAX 0.715W/kgBody-Worn OperationImportant safety information regarding radiofrequency (RF) radiation exposure is as follows:ⅷTo ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines, the device must be used with a minimum of 1 cm (0.393 inches) distance from the body.
4A. Important Safety Information 23Important Safety InformationⅷFailure to observe the instructions could result in your RF exposure exceeding the relevant guideline limits. For more information about RF exposure, visit the FCC website at www.fcc.gov. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) NoticeFCC ID number: QISEC5072This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:ⅷReorient the direction of the internal antenna.ⅷIncrease the separation between the equipment and receiver.ⅷConnect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.ⅷConsult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
