On the morning that your class is scheduled to begin, check in at the reception desk at Shady Grove by 8:45 a.m. to obtain a student ID badge and receive directions to the correct classroom for your training course. Class hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you need to contact someone, you may call our registrar, Debbie Fox, at 301-601-7204. To reach anyone at Hughes, use the main extension 301-4285500. A student lounge equipped with Internet access and telephones are provided so that students can relax during their breaks. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase. In addition, there are many local restaurants and grocery stores nearby. While there are a few points of interest within walking distance of the training facility, most can only be accessed by driving. We therefore encourage you to rent a car during your stay in Maryland. If you have any other special needs while at the site, our support staff will be on hand to assist you.
