The unit has three preset temperature ranges to indicate when the bath water is cold, comfortable or hot. Comfort Level Color Temperature Range °F Temperature Range °C Cold Red 32.0°F - 89.9°F 0.0°C - 31.9°C Comfortable Green 90.0°F - 100.0°F 32.0°C - 37.0°C Hot 100.1°F - 122.0°F 37.1°C - 49.9°C Red Comfort-Level Backlight When the temperature changes from one comfort level to another, the LCD illuminates. For example, green when it falls within the Comfortable range and red when it is above or below the Comfortable range. Hot/Cold Alarm Alert The unit emits an alarm sound if the temperature is 68°F/20°C or lower, or 104°F/40°C or higher. 10 OQ005 IM_v1 1105-PB 0216.indd 10 2/17/06 1:52:00 PM Basic Functions Temperature Unit To change the display measurement unit, slide the °C/°F switch to the desired setting. User-defined Temperature Range The default comfort temperature range for the baby’s bath water is 90°F to 100°F (32°C to 37°C). To set a new water-temperature range to the desired level: 1. Therefore, if the recorded temperature is 96.8°F (36°C) (the comfort temperature range is from 93.2°F to 98.6°F (34°C to 37°C). The unit will show “- -” if the water temperature goes above 98.6°F (37°C). • MEMORY always appears on the LCD if the user-defined temperature range is set. To change the setting again, press and hold MEMORY.
