®BT-80 Operation Guidewww.iKey.com • 1.800.866.6506Pairing InstructionsiKey’s BT-80 unit is compatible with any Apple iOS device that has built in Bluetooth® functionality.  1. Hold down the “Power” button on the     keyboard until the light flashes red.2. Hold down the “Bluetooth®” button on the      keyboard until the light flashes blue.3. Press the “Settings” icon on your Apple iOS     device.4. Select “Bluetooth®” from the “Settings”      menu (Bluetooth® is the third choice in the      menu).5. Your Apple iOS device is now in      ‘discoverable’ mode. Initially, the      “Bluetooth®”  button on the BT-80 may      give a very short flash, but will then      continue to blink steadily until the unit is      paired with the device.6. Tap “IKEY Bluetooth Keyboard” from the list      of devices that will appear on your screen. Charging Instructions• To charge the keyboard, insert the provided Micro USB charging cable into the back of the keyboard and plug the other end of the cable into a powered USB port on any computer. The Charging LED indicator will illuminate orange when charging and will turn off when fully charged. In a fully discharged state, the battery takes 5 hours to completely recharge.• With average usage of the keyboard, the anticipated battery life is eight weeks. Note: The BT-80 ships from iKey with the internal battery fully charged and ready to use out of the box.Power ButtonBluetooth® Button7. Enter the numeric code given by the wizard      using the BT-80 keyboard, then press the      “Enter” key.8. The BT-80 will then be paired with the      Apple iOS device and is ready for use by      placing the cursor anywhere you wish to      type.Backlight Button

The red LED will flash once indicating the keyboard has turned off. The same key will then turn the power back on. Each time the keyboard is powered off it will need to be paired with the host again.• To turn the red LED backlighting on, press the “Light Bulb” button in the upper left corner of the keyboard. To make it brighter press the “Light Bulb” button two more times.Standby/Sleep Mode• After 10 seconds of inactivity, the unit will go into Sleep Mode. This is a power saving feature on the keyboard that will put it in a low power state until needed again. To wake the unit from sleep mode press any key. We recommend pressing the space bar to prevent interference with any programs on your computer.Apple Hot KeysHome Key — Used to wake up the device, exit out of applications and navigate to the first page of icons.Signal Distance• The BT-80 can function up to a distance of 10 meters (~30 feet) from the host computer. The signal may be lost if the keyboard gets out of range, but the unit should start working again if you move back within the 10 meter signal distance. If the unit still does not work it may need to be re-paired.Search Key — Allows users to search their device for files and apps.Photo Frame Key — Instantly turns your photo album into a slideshow.On-Screen Keyboard Key — Allows users to go back to using the keyboard on the device.Previous Track/Scene Key — Allows users to go back to the previous song track or movie scene.Play/Pause Key — Allows users to play or pause a song track or movie scene.Next Track/Scene Key — Allows users to go to the next song track or movie scene.Mute Key — Instantly cuts off the volume on the device.Volume Down Key — Allows users to decrease the volume on the device.Volume Up Key — Allows users to increase the volume on the device.Lock Key — Allows users to lock the device’s screen. If the device is password protected, the password will need to be entered to use it again. If it’s not password protected, just slide the arrow to unlock the screen.Questions?
