ComplianceStatement(Part15.105(b))
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,
pursuanttoPart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonable
protectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,
usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewith
theinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereis
noguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoes
causeharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedby
turningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferenceby
oneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
•Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna
•Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver
•Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiveris
connected
•Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp

VehicleDetectorSensorTheory
IPSVehicleDetectionSensorprovidesareliableandsecuredetectionsystemwhichdetectsthe
presenceandabsenceofavehicleinapublicorgarageparkingspace.
TheIPSsensoruniquelydirectsallsensinginformationviatheIPSsingleormultispaceparking
metercellularcommunicationsbackbone.
Theparkinglocationsweathertheyarelocatedonacitystreetorparkingstructurewilldetect
whateverisparkedinfrontofit.Thisbuildsinanaddedmeasureofsecuritynotonlydoesit
detectwhenavehicleislocatedataparkinglocationitwillalsodetectwhenitisvacantsoifa
vehicleisabandon,stolenorhasbeenleftonthestreetsomewhereitcanbeimmediately
locatedanditwilltimedatestamptheactualevent.
Itwillalsotellthecityworkersthathaveshutdownspecificparkinglocationsduetoeitherroad
workoraneventifsomeonehasinadvertentlylefttheirvehicleonthestreetinarestricted
area.
Thesensorbecauseitismountedonameterpolehasabatterylifeof6‐8yearsdependingon
detectionactivityifnosolaractivityispresentorindefinitelywhenthereunrestrictedsunlight.
Tomaximizeandconservebatterylifethesensorremainsdormantuntilitactuallysensesa
vehicleatwhichtimeitwillwakeuptodetectwhateveriscoveredupbyitandrelaysthe
informationordatatothemeterandthenreturnstodormantstateuntilthenexteventwhich
iswhenthevehicleleaves.
TheIPSsensorusesmultiplesensingtechnologiescombiningRFaswellasIRtodetectlarge
metalobjects.
Itsuniquedesignprovidesthemostaccuratedataonthesensormarketandallowsforquick
installationandservicing.

SENSINGMETHODOLOGY
IPSVehicleDetectionSensorsusemultiplesensingelementstoproducemaximumsensor
sensitivity.Aferrousobject,suchasavehicle’sengineblock,altersthelocalmagneticfield
surroundingthesensor.Asacarpullsintoaparkingspace,thesensordetectsthechangein
themagneticfieldandrelaystheinformationtotheIPSparkingmeter.Thesensorcanalsobe
finetunetoregisteramovementofavehicleinaspecificspaceincreasingaccuracyandmaking
datareceivedmorevaluable.
INSTALLATION
Forbestperformance,sensorsareinstalledbelow‐grade,typically2–3inchesbelowthe
surfacewiththeloopantennaandopticsabovegradeorstreetleveltobeabletodetect
vehicles.
Forthemostaccurateresults,sensorsareinstalledinthegroundundertheareawherethe
transmissionandengineofthecarisexpectedtobe.
