Devices requiring soft shutdown (such as computers) or other power related requirements (such as projectors, DVRs or Clocks) may not be compatible. INSTALLATION STEP 1: Insert electrical wire into the back of the SWG unit. See Figure 1.NOTE: Plenum rated cables need to be used when the SWG is installed in a plenum.STEP 2: Insert the T-Bar clip into the back of the SWG unit using provided screw as shown in Figure 2.STEP 3: Attach to T-Bar ceiling by spreading the clip arms apart to appropriate width and snap the clip onto the T-Bar. CONNECTING TO YOUR SMARTCAST® NETWORKSTEP 1: Using a Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable, connect the SmartCast Wireless Gateway to a 802.3af compatible PoE switch via the ethernet connector (RJ45) found on the backside of the device. STEP 2: After connecting your device to a PoE switch, the AMBER and GREEN LEDs located on the connector will illuminate, indicating the device is powered on and successfully communicating to the PoE switch.  NOTE: If a PoE DC injector is used, the LEDs may not illuminate until the network has been established.Please refer to the SmartCast Link Configuration Guide for further information on how to configure your device in your SmartCast network.TROUBLESHOOTING: If LEDs do not illuminate: 1.  Check that the network cable is connected to a 802.3af compatible PoE switch and the power to the PoE switch is turned on.2.  Check that the network cable is fully seated in the connector on the back side of the SmartCast Wireless Gateway such that the locking feature is fully engaged. 3.  Please refer to the SmartCast Link Configuration Guide for further troubleshooting information.FCC NOTICEThis device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
