Turn on your Bluetooth enable device and place it within 30 feet (without barrier) of the speaker. If the system has recently been connected with the mobile device, the Bluetooth Indicator LED 3 will illuminate solidly, indicating a connection. If you have not paired the devices, or the indicator blinks slowly, pair them as described in the Pair a Bluetooth-Enabled Mobile Device section above. 3. Use the connected mobile device to play and pause music. Sound will be heard through the speaker. 4. Adjust the speaker volume level either by pushing the “+” 4 or “–” 2 Volume Buttons on the top of the MW212, or by using the volume controls on the mobile device. Listen to Music Using Line-In Source 1. Press the Power Button 1 at the top of the MW212 until the blue LED is on to turn on the MW212. 2. Insert one end of the audio cable (not included) into the Line-out (or headphone jack) on your external audio unit and the other end into the Line-In Jack 5 on the rear of the MW212. 3. Use the connected external audio unit to play and pause music. Sound will be heard through the speaker. 4. Adjust the speaker volume level either by pushing the “+” 4 or “–” 2 Volume Buttons on the top of the MW212, or by using the volume controls on the mobile device. Notes: • There will be no audible tone effects when connected to a Line-in source • Once an external audio unit is connected, its music will override music from a connected Bluetooth-enabled device. • The MW212 will revert to the last set volume level. • To maximize audio quality and minimize sound distortion, set your personal digital music device volume to high and use the volume control on the MW212 speaker to adjust the listening level when connected to a Line-in source. AUTO OFF The MW212 will automatically shut off if there is no music from a Line-in source or from a Bluetooth-enabled device for more than 20 minutes. Maintaining Your System for Continued Enjoyment • When not in use, turn OFF the MW212. To extend the battery life of your external audio/mobile device, turn off the Bluetooth signal when not in use. • Keep the unit away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. • Protect your furniture when placing the unit on wood and lacquered finishes. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as powersupply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. The AC mains plug is used as the power disconnect device and it should remain readily accessible and operable during intended use. In order to completely disconnect the apparatus from power, the mains plug should be completely removed from the AC outlet socket. LOCATION OF CONTROLS FRONT/TOP AC Connection Insert the small end of the AC adapter in the DC IN 5V Jack 6 located on the rear of the unit. Plug the other end into a wall outlet having 120V AC, 60Hz. Notes: • Remove the DC plug and the AC-IN plug to disconnect the AC adapter when not in use. • Only use the supplied DC 5V, 1.2A AC adapter. Other voltages could damage the product. BACK OPERATION Pair a Bluetooth-Enabled Mobile Device You can listen to your music from a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device wirelessly through this system. Pair the mobile device as follows: 1. Turn on MW212 by pressing the Power Button 1 . 2. Turn on your mobile device and place it within 30ft (without barrier) of the speaker. 3. Press and hold the Power Button for about 3 seconds until you hear an audible tone and the Bluetooth Indicator LED 3 blinks quickly. The speaker is now in pairing mode. 4. Refer to your mobile device for instruction on enabling Bluetooth. It is usually located in the Settings menu or similar location. After enabling, “Memorex MW212” will appear as an option. Select it and your mobile device will connect with the Memorex MW212. Use “0000” if a pairing code is necessary. Upon successful connection a tone will be heard through the speaker and the Bluetooth Indicator LED will become solidly lit. If pairing and thee connection fails or is not completed within 3 minutes, the speaker will exit pairing mode, indicated by a long beep and the LED indicator will return to a slower blinking rate. Notes: • The Bluetooth connection will not terminate when switching between Bluetooth and Line-in sources. • When powered ON and in Bluetooth source mode, the system will automatically try to connect to the most recently paired device if available.
