LOCATION OF CONTROLS
Replacing the Remote Control Battery:
1. Remove the Battery Compartment by
pressing in on the tab and then sliding the
compartment out.
2. Install a CR2025 battery, paying attention
to the polarity diagram in the compartment
(positive side up).
3. Replace the Battery Compartment.
Rechargeable Battery Notes:

slightly diminishes. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles
and need to be replaced eventually.

Replacing the Rechargeable Battery:
If the battery does not supply enough power (see note in Rechargeable Battery Notes box
below), replace the rechargeable battery as follows:
1. Remove the screws on the bottom of the unit and remove the bottom plate.
2. Unplug the rechargeable battery and replace with battery pack with the following specs,
(xxxxx,xxxxx,xxxxx ADVISE SPECS)
3. Replace the bottom plate and tighten the screws.

This unit has a built-in rechargeable battery that will automatically be charged as long as the
unit is plugged in. When charging, the Battery indicator will light red. When fully charged,
the indicator will turn off.
If the battery is low, the Battery indicator will fade in and out in a red hue.
Note: The battery will provide approximately 6 hours of operation at 50% volume or 2 hours
at 100% volume.

OPERATION
Press one of the Mode buttons (Bluetooth, AUX, FM
or AM) to access the respective mode.

Using a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn the unit on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.
2. With a unit paired (see previous section), press the Source/Select control x once so
all the modes light. Rotate the Source/Select control x to the Bluetooth ( )position
to select the Bluetooth mode.
3. Operate your bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through this unit’s speakers.
4. Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume control v on this unit, or the Volume
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn the unit on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.
2. Press the Source/Select control x once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/
Select control x to the Bluetooth ( ) position to select the Bluetooth mode.
3. Press and hold the Source/Select control x for approximately 3 seconds until the
Bluetooth indicator blinks quickly to make the speaker “discoverable”.
4. On the bluetooth device, enable bluetooth and select “A73” from the Device List. If the
bluetooth device asks for a passkey, use “0000”. Some bluetooth devices will ask you
to accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, the speaker will beep and the
Bluetooth indicator will light solid. If it failed, the Bluetooth indicator will blink slowly.
Note: After you pair a device, this unit will remember it for future use.
Turning the Unit On and Off:
1. The main power switch is on the rear of the unit. Slide to the ON position to turn the
unit on and activate the Power/Volume control on the main unit and the Power button
on the remote.
2. Once the main power switch is turned on, you can turn the unit on or off by pressing
the Power/Volume control v on the main unit. If using the remote, press the Power
button am to turn the unit on. Press the OFF button al to turn the unit off.
AUX Jack (Rear of Unit)
Insert one end of an audio cable (not
included) into the LINE OUT jack on your
external audio unit and the other end into
the AUX jack U on the rear of this unit.
To listen to the external audio unit, turn
this unit on and turn on the external unit
as well. Press the Source/Select control
x once so all the modes light. Rotate
the Source/Select control x to the AUX
position to select the Line In mode. Start
playback of the external unit and the
external audio unit’s output sound will be
heard through this unit’s speakers.
Headphone Jack (Rear of Unit)
For private listening, simply plug headphones into the Headphone jack X on the rear of
this unit. The speaker’s sound will be muted when headphones are inserted.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
Auto Power Off
If the unit has no audio signal, and/or a USB device is not charging, for 20 minutes, the
unit will turn itself off.
Setting the EQ and Bass
1. Press the Source/Select control x once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/
Select control x to the BAS (Bass) or TRE (Treble) position.
2. Adjust the setting using the Volume/Power control v.
Note: If no setting has taken place for five seconds, the unit will exit the Bass/Treble
setting mode and will revert to the previous mode.
Changing the FM region
This unit allows you to set the desired radio region as follows:
With the power on, press and hold the Volume/Powerv and Source/Selectx controls
simultaneously for at least four seconds to enter the radio region setting mode.
Scroll through the menu using the Source/Select control x to select the desired region, then
press the Source/Select x control to confirm.
When finished, scroll using the Source/Select control x to select “EXIT”, then press the
Source/Select control x.
Region 1 – United States (87.5MHz to 108MHz)
Region 2 – Europe (87.5MHz to 108MHz)
Region 3 – Japan (76MHz to 108MHz)
Setting the FM Presets
1. Turn the unit on and select a station as described in steps 1 through 3 above.
2. Press and hold the desired Preset button bk on the remote control for three seconds.
The Preset number will blink three times in the display to confirm setting.
3. To call up a preset, simply press and release the Preset number bk on the remote
control.
Using the AM or FM Radio
1. Rotate the Volume/Power control v to turn the unit on; the previously listened to
source and volume will be selected.
2. Press the Source/Select control x once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/
Select control x to the AM or FM position to select the radio mode.
3. When AM or FM appears in the display, the unit is in Tuner mode, so use the Source/
Select control x to select a station. If all the indicators appear around the Source/
Select control, the unit is in Select mode; in this case press the Source/Select control
x to make it operate as a tuning control.
4. To have the unit automatically scan for the next strong station, press the SEEK Up or
Down button ao on the remote control.
5. Adjust the volume using the Volume/Power control v and adjust the Bass and Treble
as described later in this guide.
6. To select another source, press the Source/Select control x to enter the Select mode
and make it operate as a source selector.
7. To mute the sound, press the Mute button as on the remote control.
AM Antenna: Insert the AM Antenna plug into the AM Antenna jack on the rear of the unit
for best AM reception. Assemble the stand by rotating and inserting the tabs until they click.
Charging a Bluetooth Device with this Unit
On the rear of this unit is a USB jack that can be connected to a USB device, which will
charge if the unit is connected to AC power.
