IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Do not use this apparatus near water.

Do not block any of the ventilation openings. Install
in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding–
type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and

provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit

a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus

13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused
for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing
is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally,
or has been dropped.
15. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. Do not place objects
filled with water, such as a vase, on the apparatus.
16. The AC mains plug is used as the power disconnect device and
it should remain readily accessible and operable during intended
use. In order to completely disconnect the apparatus from the
power, the mains plug should be completely removed from the
AC outlet socket.

batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or other

Operation
The XtremeMac™ BackTrack™ is a portable tag
you can attach to commonly lost or hard-to-locate
valuables – from car keys to purses. It enables you
to view their proximity to you within Bluetooth®
technology’s 40-foot range through a free app
downloadable on your Apple device.
Turning the BackTrack On or Off
1. Turn on the unit by sliding the Power switch v;
the orange will be visible in the switch and the
LED indicator will blink for 1/4 second every 15
seconds.
2. Turn the unit off by sliding the Power switch v;
the LED indicator turn off.
Charging the BackTrack
1. Press the Cap Release button x to open the Cap
and expose the USB jack U.
2. With the unit on or off, connect the included
cable from the USB jack on your computer to the
USB jack U on this unit. While charging, the LED
will be solid. When fully charged, the LED will
turn off.
3. Disconnect from the USB jack and computer
when charging has been completed. A fully
charged battery will last approximately 24 days.
NOTE: When the BackTrack App is installed, the
Apple Device will show the Battery Status as shown.

Installing the BackTrack App
On your Apple device, go to the App Store and
download the free app, BackTrack App.
NOTE: This device can be used with the iPad (3rd
Generation and newer) and the iPhone (4s and newer).
Pairing the BackTrack to the Apple Device
1. Turn on Bluetooth on your Apple device and turn
the BackTrack on as previously described.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth button w on the
side of the unit for approximately two seconds;
the unit will beep and the LED will blink.
3. Within five minutes, open the BackTrack App
and the app will ask if you want to add the
device. When paired successfully, the BackTrack
will beep twice.
NOTES:
• If the unit is not paired within five minutes, the
LED will stop blinking.
• The BackTrack will remember the Apple device
that it is paired with, and link to it each time the
BackTrack is powered on.
• If you look on the Setting screen, this unit will be
named "Peripheral."
Using the BackTrack
1. Turn on the unit as shown previously and make
sure any BackTrack device used is paired with
the Apple Device as previously described.
2. Connect up to seven
BackTrack devices on
items like backpacks,
keys, pets collars, etc.
3. Start the BackTrack App
on the Apple Device; the
Apple Device will show
Searching until a paired
BackTrack is located
within 40 feet of the Apple

4. When BackTrack devices
have been found, they will
populate the screen.
The blue bars indicate
signal strength, with the
more bars, the closer the
BackTrack device.
The green bars indicate
the battery level, with
the more bars, the more
battery power remaining.
NOTE: If more than four BackTrack devices are
located, use your finger to scroll to the bottom of
the screen to view them.
5. To locate a BackTrack device, tap its Page button
on the screen; the device will play a sound for
about ten seconds to help you locate it.
Changing the Support/Settings
1. Turn on the unit as shown previously.
2. Tap the Xtreme Mac/
BackTrack bar at the
bottom of the screen; the
Support/Setting screen
will appear.
3. Tap the Allow device to
page iPhone switch to
turn this option ON or
OFF. Turning this option
on will allow you to page
the Apple Device (not
just the iPhone) from the
BackTrack by pressing the
Buetooth/Page button.
4. Tap the Bluetooth button to bring up the Alert
Picker Screen. Select the desired alert (which will
sound when the Apple Device is paged).

Changing the Specific BackTrack Settings
1. Turn on the unit as shown previously and make
sure any BackTrack device used is paired with
the Apple Device as previously described.
2. Tap one of the BackTrack
devices on the screen to go
to its Setting screen.
3. Tap the Out of Range
switch to turn this option
ON or OFF. Turning this
option on will alert the user
as he is approaching the
out of range barrier for the
connected peripheral.
4. Tap the Low Battery switch
to turn this option ON or OFF. Turning this option
on will alert the user when the battery level on
the connected BackTrack device is low.
NOTE: This alert is a phone notification.
5. Tap on the name (next to the image) to edit the
name of the selected BackTrack device.
6. Tap the image to bring up
the Image Picker screen.
Select a picture to use as the
BackTrack device's image as
follows:
a. Tap a preset picture.
b. Tap Choose Photo from
Library button to chose a
picture from your Apple
Device's library.
c. Tap Take Photo button to take a picture using
the Apple Device.
7. Tap the Forget This Device button to delete the
selected BackTrack device.
NOTE: This option only appears when the device is
disconnected.

Operación
BackTrack™ de XtremeMac™ consiste en una
etiqueta portátil que puede adjuntarse a cualquier
objeto de valor que sea difícil de ubicar o pueda
perderse con facilidad, como las llaves del

Encendido y apagado del BackTrack
1. Encienda la unidad deslizando el interruptor
de encendido v; se hará visible el color naranja
en el interruptor, y el indicador LED parpadeará
durante 1/4 de segundo, cada 15 segundos.
2. Apague la unidad deslizando el interruptor de
encendido v; el indicador LED se apagará.
Carga del BackTrack
1. Presione el botón de liberación de la tapa
x para abrir la tapa y para que quede al
descubierto la toma USB U.
2. Con la unidad encendida o apagada, conecte
el cable incluido de la toma USB de su equipo
informático a la toma USB de U esta unidad.
Durante la carga, el LED se mantendrá
encendido permanentemente. Cuando la carga
se haya completado, el LED se apagará.
3. Desconecte el cable de la toma USB y del
equipo informático cuando la carga se haya
completado. Una batería completamente
cargada dura aproximadamente 24 días.
Nota: Cuando la aplicación BackTrack esté

Instalación de la aplicación BackTrack
En su dispositivo Apple, vaya a la tienda de
aplicaciones App Store y descargue la aplicación
gratuita BackTrack App.

Emparejamiento del BackTrack con el
dispositivo Apple
1. Encienda el Bluetooth en su dispositivo Apple
y encienda el BackTrack tal como se describió
anteriormente.
2. Presione y mantenga presionado el botón
Bluetooth w en la parte lateral de la unidad
durante aproximadamente dos segundos; la
unidad emitirá un sonido, y el LED parpadeará.
3. Luego de cinco minutos, abra la aplicación
BackTrack; la aplicación preguntará si desea
agregar el dispositivo. Una vez que se haya
efectuado correctamente el emparejamiento,
el BackTrack sonará dos veces.
NOTAS:
• Si la unidad no está emparejada luego de cinco
minutos, el LED dejará de parpadear.
• El BackTrack recordará el dispositivo Apple con
el que está emparejado y se conectará a él cada
vez que el BackTrack se encienda.
• Si usted observa la pantalla de configuración,

Uso del BackTrack

Funzionamento
XtremeMac™ BackTrack™ è una targhetta portatile
che può essere applicata a oggetti di valore facili
da perdere o di difficile individuazione: dalle chiavi
dell’auto ai portafogli. Consente di visualizzare la
loro vicinanza al proprietario in un’area di 12 metri
con la tecnologia Bluetooth® attraverso un’app
gratuita scaricabile sul proprio dispositivo Apple.
Accensione e spegnimento di BackTrack
1. Accendere l’unità facendo scivolare
l’interruttore di alimentazione v; il colore
arancione diventa visibile sull’interruttore e gli
indicatori a LED si illuminano per 1/4 di secondo
ogni 15 secondi.
2. Spegnere l’unità facendo scivolare l’interruttore
di alimentazione v; l’indicatore a LED si spegne.
Ricarica del BackTrack
1. Premere il pulsante di rilascio del cappuccio x
per aprire il cappuccio ed esporre il jack USB U.
2. Quando l’unità è accesa o spenta, collegare il
cavo fornito dal jack USB del computer al jack
USB U sull’unità. Mentre è in carica, il LED sarà
acceso fisso. Quando è completamente carica, il
LED si spegnerà.
3. Scollegare dal jack USB e dal computer una
volta completata la carica. Una batteria
completamente carica durerà circa 24 giorni.
Nota: Quando è installata l’app BackTrack, il
dispositivo Apple mostrerà lo stato della batteria
come descritto.

Installazione dell’app BackTrack

scaricare l’app gratuita BackTrack.

Accoppiamento del BackTrack con il
dispositivo Apple
1. Attivare il Bluetooth sul proprio dispositivo
Apple e accendere il BackTrack come descritto in
precedenza.
2. Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante Bluetooth
w sul lato dell’unità per circa due secondi;
l’unità emetterà un segnale acustico e il LED
lampeggerà.
3. Entro cinque minuti, aprire l’app BackTrack, che
chiederà se aggiungere il dispositivo. Quando
l’accoppiamento riuscirà, il BackTrack emetterà
due segnali acustici.
NOTE:
• Se l’unità non si accoppia entro cinque minuti, il
LED smetterà di lampeggiare.
• Il BackTrack ricorderà al dispositivo Apple che
è accoppiato e lo collegherà ogni volta che il
BackTrack è acceso.
• Nella schermata delle impostazioni, questa
unità sarà denominata "Peripheral" (Periferica).

Betrieb
Der XtremeMac™ BackTrack™ ist ein tragbarer
Anhänger für Wertsachen, die häufig verloren gehen
oder schwer zu finden sind – vom Autoschlüssel bis
zu Geldbörsen. Sie können die Entfernung zu Ihnen
innerhalb des ca. 12 Meter großen Umkreises der
Bluetooth®-Technologie mithilfe einer kostenlos
herunterladbaren App auf Ihrem Apple-Gerät
anzeigen.
Ein- und Ausschalten des BackTrack-Geräts
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät durch Betätigen des
Power-Schalters v ein. Die orange Farbe des
Schalters wird sichtbar, und die LED-Anzeige
blinkt alle 15 Sekunden für eine Viertelsekunde.
2. Schalten Sie das Gerät durch Betätigen des
Power-Schalters v aus. Die LED-Anzeige erlischt.
Aufladen des BackTrack-Geräts
1. Drücken Sie die Taste zum Lösen der Kappe x,
um die Kappe abzunehmen und den
USB-Anschluss U freizugeben.
2. Schließen Sie das im Lieferumfang enthaltene
Kabel an den USB-Anschluss Ihres Computers an,
und verbinden Sie das Kabel mit dem
USB-Anschluss U an diesem Gerät. Dabei kann das
Gerät ein- oder ausgeschaltet sein. Während des
Ladevorgangs leuchtet die LED dauerhaft. Die LED
erlischt, wenn das Gerät vollständig geladen ist.
3. Trennen Sie das Gerät vom USB-Kabel und vom
Computer, wenn der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen
ist. Ein vollständig aufgeladener Akku hält ca.
24 Tage.
HINWEIS: Wenn die BackTrack-App installiert
ist, zeigt das Apple-Gerät den Akkustatus wie
abgebildet an.

Installieren der BackTrack-App
Wechseln Sie auf Ihrem Apple-Gerät zum App
Store, und laden Sie die kostenlose BackTrack-App
herunter.
HINWEIS: Dieses Gerät kann mit dem iPad
(3. Generation und neuer) und dem iPhone (4s und
neuer) verwendet werden.
Koppeln des BackTrack mit dem Apple-Gerät
1. Aktivieren Sie Bluetooth auf Ihrem Apple-Gerät,
und schalten Sie das BackTrack-Gerät wie oben
beschrieben ein.
2. Halten Sie die Bluetooth-Taste w auf der
Geräteseite ca. zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt.
Das Gerät piept und die LED-Anzeige blinkt.
3. Öffnen Sie die BackTrack-App innerhalb von
fünf Minuten. Die App fragt, ob Sie das Gerät
hinzufügen möchten. Nach einer erfolgreichen
Kopplung piept das BackTrack-Gerät zweimal.
HINWEISE:
• Wenn innerhalb von fünf Minuten keine
Kopplung erfolgt, hört die LED-Anzeige auf zu
blinken.
• Das BackTrack-Gerät merkt sich das Apple-Gerät,
mit dem es gekoppelt wurde, und verbindet
sich jedes Mal, wenn das BackTrack-Gerät
eingeschaltet wird.
• Auf dem Einstellungsbildschirm wird dieses
Gerät als „Peripheriegerät“ (oder ähnlich)
bezeichnet.

Verwenden des BackTrack-Geräts
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät wie oben beschrieben

3. Starten Sie die BackTrackApp auf dem Apple-Gerät.
Das Apple-Gerät sucht,
bis ein gekoppeltes
BackTrack-Gerät in einer
Entfernung von bis zu ca.
12 Metern zum AppleGerät gefunden wird.
4. Wenn BackTrack-Geräte
gefunden wurden, werden
Sie auf dem Bildschirm
aufgeführt.
Die blauen Balken zeigen
die Signalstärke an. Je
mehr Balken eingeblendet
werden, desto näher ist
das BackTrack-Gerät.
Die grünen Balken zeigen
die Akkuladung an. Je

Akkuladung ist noch übrig.
HINWEIS: Wenn mehr als vier BackTrack-Geräte
gefunden werden, blättern Sie mit Ihrem Finger
zum Ende des Bildschirms, um sie anzuzeigen.
5. Um ein BackTrack-Gerät zu suchen, tippen Sie
auf dem Bildschirm auf die entsprechende
Page-Taste. Das Gerät spielt ca. zehn Sekunden
lang einen Sound ab, damit Sie es leichter finden
können.

Fonctionnement
Le XtremeMacTM BackTrackTM est une balise portable
que vous pouvez fixer aux objets que vous perdez
facilement ou difficiles à retrouver, comme vos clés
de voiture ou votre porte-monnaie. Cette balise
vous permet de visualiser la proximité d'un objet
par rapport à votre position grâce à la technologie
Bluetooth® d'une portée de 12 mètres (40 pieds) via
une application téléchargeable gratuitement sur
votre dispositif Apple.
Mise en marche et arrêt du BackTrack
1. Allumez l'unité en faisant glisser l'interrupteur
Marche/Arrêt v ; l'interrupteur va s'allumer en
orange et le voyant DEL va clignoter pendant
1/4 seconde toutes les 15 secondes.
2. Éteignez l'unité en faisant glisser l'interrupteur
Marche/Arrêt v ; le voyant DEL s'éteint.
Chargement du BackTrack
1. Appuyez sur le bouton de déclenchement du
bouchon x pour ouvrir le bouchon et exposer la
prise USB U.
2. Que l'appareil soit allumé ou éteint, branchez le
câble fourni entre la prise USB de votre ordinateur
et la micro prise USB U de l'appareil. Pendant
le chargement, le voyant restera allumé. Une
fois l'appareil entièrement chargé, le voyant va
s'éteindre.
3. Débranchez l'appareil de la prise USB et de
l'ordinateur une fois le chargement terminé. Une
batterie entièrement chargée tiendra environ
24 jours.
REMARQUE : Une fois l'application BackTrack
installée, le dispositif Apple affichera le niveau de la
batterie comme illustré ci-dessous.

Installation de l'application BackTrack
Sur votre dispositif Apple, allez dans App Store et
téléchargez l'application gratuite BackTrack.
REMARQUE : Ce dispositif peut être utilisé avec
l'iPad (3e génération et versions ultérieures) et
l'iPhone
(4s et versions ultérieures).
Appairage du BackTrack et du dispositif Apple
1. Activez le Bluetooth sur votre dispositif
Apple et allumez le BackTrack tel que décrit
précédemment.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton Bluetooth w situé sur le
côté de l'unité et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant
environ deux secondes ; l'unité va bipper et le
voyant va clignoter.
3. Dans les cinq minutes qui suivent, ouvrez
l'application BackTrack et celle-ci vous
demandera si vous souhaitez ajouter le
dispositif. Une fois l'appairage effectué, le
BackTrack va bipper deux fois.
REMARQUES :
• Si l'appareil n'est pas appairé dans les cinq
minutes, le voyant arrête de clignoter.
• Le BackTrack se souviendra qu'il a été appairé
avec le dispositif Apple et se connectera à lui
chaque fois qu'il sera allumé.
• Si vous regardez sur l'écran Setting (Paramètres),
cette unité sera nommée « Peripheral »
(Périphérique).

Utilisation du BackTrack
1. Actionnez l'unité comme expliqué plus haut

2. Connectez jusqu'à sept
dispositifs BackTrack sur
des objets tels que des
sacs à dos, clés, colliers de
chiens, etc.
3. Démarrez l'application
BackTrack sur le dispositif
Apple ; le dispositif Apple
va afficher Searching
(Recherche) jusqu'à ce
qu'un BackTrack appairé
soit localisé à une distance maximum de
12 mètres (40 pieds) du dispositif Apple.
4. Lorsque les dispositifs
BackTrack sont trouvés, ils

Les barres bleues indiquent

Operação
A XtremeMac™ BackTrack™ é uma etiqueta
portátil que você pode anexar a objetos de valor
comumente perdidos ou difíceis de localizar - de
chaves do carro a bolsas. Ele permite que você
visualize a sua proximidade dentro da faixa
de 40 pés de tecnologia Bluetooth® através de
um aplicativo gratuito para download em seu
dispositivo Apple.
Ligando e Desligando o BackTrack
1. Ligue a unidade, deslizando o botão Power v;
o laranja será visível no botão e o indicador LED
irá piscar por 1/4 de segundo a cada 15 segundos.
2. Desligue a unidade, deslizando o botão Power v;
o indicador LED desligará.
Carregando o BackTrack
1. Pressione o Botão de Liberação da Tampa x
para abrir a Tampa e expor o conector USB U.
2. Com o aparelho ligado ou desligado, conecte
o cabo incluído no conector USB no seu
computador à entrada USB U nesta unidade.
Ao carregar, o LED ficará sólido. Quando
completamente carregado, o LED desligará.
3. Desconecte da entrada USB do computador
quando o carregamento estiver concluído.
Uma bateria completamente carregada durará
aproximadamente 24 dias.

Instalando o Aplicativo BackTrack
No seu dispositivo da Apple, vá para a App Store e
baixe o aplicativo gratuito, BackTrack App.

Pareando o BackTrack com o seu
Dispositivo Apple
1. Ligue o Bluetooth no seu aparelho da Apple
e ligue o BackTrack, conforme descrito
anteriormente.
2. Pressione e segure o botão Bluetooth w na
lateral da unidade por cerca de dois segundos;
a unidade apitará e o LED piscará.
3. Dentro de cinco minutos, abra o Aplicativo
BackTrack e o aplicativo irá perguntar se você
deseja adicionar o dispositivo. Quando estiver
pareado com sucesso, o BackTrack bipará duas
vezes.
OBSERVAÇÕES:

て、Bluetooth® テクノロジーの40フィート範囲内で、

BackTrackのオン/オフ
1. 電源スイッチ v をスライドさせることにより、ユニ
ットをオンにします。
このスイッチではオレンジ色
で、LEDインジケーターは15秒ごとに1/4秒点滅し
ます。
2. 電源スイッチ v をスライドさせることにより、ユニ
ットをオフにします。LED インジケーターがオフに
なります。
BackTrack の充電
1. Cap Releaseボタン x を押して、キャップを開
き、USBジャック U が見えるようにします。
2. 装置をオンまたはオフにすると、ケーブルに同梱
されたケーブルをコンピュータのUSB ジャックか
ら、本装置の USB ジャック U に接続します。充電
中、LEDは点灯したままです。完全に充電される
と、LEDはオフになります。
3. 充電が完了したらUSBジャックとコンピューターか
ら外します。完全に充電されたバッテリーは、約
24日間もちます。
注: BackTrackアプリがインストールされると、Apple

BackTrackアプリのインストール
Apple デバイスで、App Storeに進み、無料のアプリで
ある BackTrack アプリをダウンロードしてください。
注: このデバイスは、iPad (第3世代以降) と iPhone
(4s 以降) で使用できます。
BackTrackのAppleデバイスとのペアリング
1. AppleデバイスでBluetoothをオンにし、BackTrack
を前述の通りオンにしてください。
2. ユニットの側面にあるBluetoothボタン w を約
2秒間押し続けます。ユニットはビープ音がし
て、LEDが点滅します。
3. 5分以内に、BackTrackアプリを開くと、
アプリはデ
バイスに追加するかどうか問い合わせます。ペアリ
ングが正常に行われると、BackTrackは2回ビープ
音が鳴ります。
注：
• 装置が5分以内にペアリングされない場合、LEDの
点滅が停止します。
• BackTrackはペアリングしたAppleデバイスを記憶
し、BackTrackがオンになるたびにリンクします。
