Pull the tab from the battery’s + lead. 3. Place a selection jumper on the appropriate frequency band selection pins. • Leave the jumper off the pins to select 902-928 MHz for North America. • Place the jumper on the top two pins to select 921-928 MHz for New Zealand. • Place the jumper on the bottom two pins to select 915-928 MHz for Australia. 4. Press the Reset button. Caution: When pressing the Reset button, make sure you don’t also touch the frequency band selection pins. Touching the frequency band selection pins while pressing the Reset button can inadvertently set the EN1262 to the wrong frequency band. 2.2 Set Zones 1. If masking is required, use the PIR zone diagram and the lens inside view diagram to choose the appropriate zones to be masked. Use opaque masking material, such as electrical tape. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. 6 FCC Part 15 Compliance This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. To enable the look down zones, peel the mask from the look down lens. Figure 7 Enable look down zones 2.3 Register the Transmitter The EN1262 must be registered with the system receiver in order to be monitored and supervised. Each EN1262 has a unique factoryprogrammed identification number. Refer to the receiver, network coordinator or control panel installation instructions for details on registering a transmitter. 1. When prompted reset the EN1262, press the EN1262 Reset button. 2. If using the optional housing screws for added security, use a 7/64” (2.78 mm) bit to drill out the housing hole indexes on the top and bottom of the housing. 3. Replace the housing cover. 4. If using the optional housing screws, use the included screws to secure the housing. Caution: The EN1262 should be tested after registration to ensure operation. To test the EN1262, activate each of the conditions and ensure an appropriate response. 3 Testing Once the battery is installed, the unit enters a three-minute non-alarming stabilization period indicated by the LED flashing once per second. After the stabilization period, the unit requires two seconds of quiet. After that two seconds, the unit will remain in walk test mode until it is left untripped for 120 seconds. © Inovonics, 2011 - www.inovonics.com Note: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
