Connecting to portable audio devices

Press to turn on your speaker
system. Press again to turn off your
speaker system.
Connect your favorite headphones
to this jack. They will mute the
speaker system automatically. The
master volume control can then be
used to turn up or down the
volume to your headphones.

Connecting to a computer

1 Make sure the portable audio device and your
speaker system are turned off and unplugged.
2 Plug the green audio cable attached to the speaker
into your audio device.

system are turned off and unplugged from the
power outlet.
2 Plug the cable with the green plug on the right
speaker into the audio out jack on the computer
(this jack is usually green).

3 Plug the black plug from the AC adapter into the
back of the right speaker and the other end into a
wall outlet or power strip.
4 Turn on the portable audio device and your
speaker system.
Note: Portable audio devices can also be connected to the auxiliary
input jack of the right speaker using the included auxiliary cable.
Note: A smartphone or MP3 player can be placed in the included
cradle.

Troubleshooting
Symptom

Solution

Speaker system
will not turn on

• Press the power button on the right speaker. When your speaker system is
turned on, the power LED lights blue.
• Make sure that the power cord is connected to a power outlet.
• Test the power outlet to make sure that it is supplying power.

Speaker does not
produce sound

• Press the power button on the right speaker. When your speaker system is
turned on, the power LED lights blue.
• Make sure that the power cord is connected to a power outlet.
• Test the power outlet to make sure that it is supplying power.
• Make sure that you have connected the speakers correctly. For more information, see “Setting up your speaker system” on page 1 of this Quick Setup Guide.
• Make sure that the sound is not muted or the volume is not set too low on the
audio device you connected to.
• Try connecting your speaker system to another audio device. If your speaker
system produces sound, the problem is with the audio device you connected to.

Sound is distorted • Adjust the master volume control to the ¼ or ½ level.
• Adjust volume settings on the output device (computer or portable audio source).
Sound is coming
from one speaker

• If your speaker system is connected to a computer, adjust your computer’s audio
levels to balance the sound coming from the speakers.
• Reseat the audio connector into the audio out jack of your computer.
