a) When CS8042 is powered on, press and hold (about 2 seconds) until
Bluetooth LED flashes Green to turn Bluetooth ON.
b) When CS8042 is powered on, press and hold (about 4 seconds) until
Bluetooth LED flashes Green and Red alternatively to enter into pairing mode.
c) When CS8042 is powered on, press and hold (about 4 seconds) until
Bluetooth LED turns red to turn Bluetooth OFF when playing.
d) Press it once when playing --- Pause
Press it once again --- Resume play
9. Bluetooth Volume Up switch.

! A/C Adapter and 3 AAA battery
Thank you for buying the new BT90S Bluetooth Traveller Speaker and, or the
CS8082 Bluetooth Stereo Audio Adaptor. You can use the A/C power adapter
(optional, not provided) to power up the CS8042 directly or place 3 AAA dry
batteries into the CS8042 to obtain the power.
! Turning on / Turning off the Traveller Speaker
To turn on the speaker, please switch the power ON/OFF switch to the “I”
position. To turn it off, please switch the power switch to the “O” position.
! Function Keys
1. Battery cover(Insert 3 AAA batteries).
2. Power ON/OFF switch.
3. DC power input socket(5VDC).
4. Audio input socket.

1. Pairing
a. While the Speaker is powered off, switch the power ON/OFF switch (Key
2) to the “I” position to turn it on (Fig.1). The Power LED (Fig.3) will
become blue. Press and hold BT ON/OFF/Pairing/Pause switch (Key 8,
Fig.2) for 4 seconds, the Bluetooth LED will flash red and green
alternatively, which indicates the Speaker in Pairing Mode. The Pairing
Mode will last for one minute.
b. Put the Speaker and the Bluetooth enabled (with A2DP and AVRCP
profiles) Mobile Phone / PDA / MP3 close to each other, 0.5 to 3 meters.
c. Follow the operation instructions of your Bluetooth enabled (with A2DP
and AVRCP profiles) Mobile Phone/ PDA / MP3 to start the pairing
process. Typically, this has to be done by going to a setup or connect
menu to discover the Speaker. It may take some time to search it
depending on the number of Bluetooth devices nearby.
d. Your Mobile Phone / PDA / MP3 will display the model name “CS8042 ” if it
has found the Speaker; and ask for a passkey. Enter a sequence of
“0000 ” . After successful pairing, follow the instructions to establish the
Bluetooth connection with the Speaker.
e. If the pairing is successful, the Bluetooth LED will flash green, which
indicates it is in Standby Mode and ready to receive audio signals from the
Mobile Phone / PDA / MP3. If pairing does not occur as expected, turn the
Traveller Speaker and the audio device off. Wait for 10 seconds and
repeat the pairing process from the beginning (Fig.4).
2. Listening to music
a. Play the music on the Mobile Phone / PDA / MP3 as normal; you will listen
to the music from the Speaker.
b. The speaker volume can be adjusted by pressing the VOL Up button
(Fig.2) / VOL Down button (Fig.2).

c. While listening to music (for example, song 2), press the Speaker’s
FORWARD >> button (Fig.2) will skip to next song (for example, song 3);
press the BACKWARD << button (Fig.2) will replay the current song (for
example, song 2). The fast forward & backward are also supported by
holding the FORWARD >> or BACKWARD << function keys. This remote
control function is supported only by the AVRCP profile in your Bluetooth
enabled devices.
d. Turn the Speaker off after use.
Remark: Details operation of music playing through Bluetooth A2DP profile
varies from different Mobile Phones / PDAs.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or

1. Pairing
a. While the Speaker is powered off, switch the power ON/OFF switch (Key
2) to the “I” position to turn it on (Fig.1). The Power LED (Fig.3) will
become blue. Press and hold Bluetooth ON/OFF/Pairing/Pause switch
(Fig.2) for 4 seconds, the Bluetooth LED will flash red and green
alternatively, which indicates the Speaker in Pairing Mode. The Pairing
Mode will last for one minute.
b. While the CS8042 Stereo Audio Adaptor is powered off, press and hold
PLAY and STOP buttons simultaneously. The LED will flash red and
green alternatively, which indicates the Audio Adaptor is in Pairing Mode.
The Paring Mode will last for one minute.
c. Put the Speaker and the Audio Adaptor close to each other, 0.5 to 3
meters. After a few seconds, their LED's on two devices will turn into
flashing green, which indicates successful pairing. Both units are in
Standby Mode and ready to transmit audio signal, or music from the audio
source (Fig.5).
2. Listening to music
a. After successful pairing, plug the jack of the Audio Adaptor to the 3.5 mm
socket of any audio source such as iPod, MP3, CD player, Notebook PC,
or other audio devices with audio jack.
b. Play the music on the audio source as normal; you will listen to the stereo
music from the speaker.
c. The Music volume can only be adjusted by pressing and releasing the
VOL+ / VOL - buttons of audio source.
d. Turn the Speaker off after use and the Audio Adaptor will be turned off
automatically. Next time, you don’t need to pair them again. Turn them
on, and then they will be paired automatically and ready to transmit music
from the audio source.
III. Traveller Speaker connected directly with Audio Device Guide
1. Listening to music
a. While the Speaker is powered off, switch the power ON/OFF switch (Key 2)
to the “I” position to turn it on (Fig.1). The Power LED (Fig.3) will become
blue.
b. Plug one end of the audio cable to the “Audio input socket” (socket 4,
Fig.1) of the Traveller Speaker and the other end to the 3.5 mm socket of
any audio source such as iPod, MP3, CD player, Notebook PC or other
audio devices.
c. Play the music on the audio source as normal; you will listen to the stereo
music from the speaker.
d. The Music volume can only be adjusted by pressing and releasing the VOL
+ / VOL- buttons of audio source.
e. Turn the Speaker off after use.
