1 General
1.1 Symbols
Signal words are used in this manual and apply to hazards or unsafe practices
which could result in personal injury or property damage. See the information
below for definitions of the signal words.
1.2 Service Life
The expected service life of this product is five years when used in accordance
with the safety instructions, maintenance intervals and correct use, stated in this
manual. The effective service life can vary according to frequency and intensity of
use.
Maintenance should be done at least every six months.
1.3 Specifications and Weight Limitation
The weight limitation of the bath lift is 265 lb (120 kg).

2 Safety
2.1 Scope of Delivery
If possible, keep the original packaging for transportation at a later date.
2.2 Intended Use
The bathlift is intended for lowering a person into a bathtub and lifting a person
out of a bathtub only. All other use can cause risk of injury. Only use the bathlift
in bathtubs of the specified size:
Check ALL parts for shipping damage. If shipping damage is
noted, DO NOT use. Contact carrier/dealer for further
instruction.

is possible that the bathlift could be impaired by other electrical devices
(e.g. mobile telephones, CB radio devices, portable radios) or that the
lift could impair these devices. If you note any such interference, switch
off the other device and/or the bathlift. If you carry other electrically
operated medical products on your person and these products cause
interference or are impaired, switch off the bathlift and contact your
specialist dealer. For more information about the electromagnetic
characteristics, see the Technical data section.

own, ALWAYS take a bath under supervision.
DO NOT make any unauthorized alterations or conversions
to the device.
CAUTION
Risk of Damage
DO NOT expose the product to direct sunlight.
Only transport or store the product in dry spaces at
temperatures between 0°C and 40°C, an air pressure
between 860 and 1060 hPa and an air humidity between 30%
and 75%.
Note the information on the product label.
Only load the bathlift up to the specified maximum user
weight. If you overload the bathlift , it could result in damage
to the device.

2.5 Battery Warnings
WARNING
Risk of Injury
Only use original batteries in the device (Invacare H605 Rio
Battery).
Only charge the battery with the original charger (Invacare
H605 Rio plug-in charger).
Replace batteries with a greatly reduced output (range) in
good time.
Do not open or alter the power adapter or the battery.
Before cleaning the charger, always disconnect the power
adapter from the power socket.
Never throw the battery into fire and do not store the
battery near fire.
If the battery becomes damaged and diluted sulphuric acid
comes into contact with eyes, wash eyes immediately with
copious amounts of water and see a doctor without delay.
If the battery becomes damaged and diluted sulphuric acid
comes into contact with skin or clothing, thoroughly wash the
affected area immediately with water.
CAUTION
Risk of Damage
Do not touch the battery’s contacts with electrically
conductive objects as this could damage the battery (short
circuit).

3 Setup
3.1 Recharging the Battery
• Recharge the battery after each use of the device.
• Only charge the battery in a dry room, never in the bathroom.
• When charging, ensure that there is sufficient ventilation in the
room.
• The charging time is a maximum of 5 hours.
• You cannot overcharge the battery; the charger switches off
automatically when the battery is fully charged.
• If not using the device, charge the battery at least once a month.
• After charging the battery, disconnect the charger and the battery
in reverse order.
1. Remove the battery from the bathlift. Turn the battery over to
expose the slots for the battery charger adapter.
2. Slide the battery charger adapter up into the battery.
3. Plug the battery charger adapter into a wall outlet.

Never touch the battery’s charge contacts.

Risk of Damage
When charging the battery, pay careful attention to the
sequence of steps.

3.3 Setting Up the Bathlift in the Bathtub
Before setting up the device, clean the bathtub and the suction cups.
CAUTION
Risk of Tipping
Check that the device is seated correctly. When the device is
loaded, the suction cups should not come loose.
Risk of Pinching
Handle the backrest from the sides only.
Risk of Damage
Do not move the basic frame again after you have set it up in
the bathtub.

4 Usage
4.1 Operation
Lowering and Lifting
• If the LED on the hand control unit lights up RED, the battery is not
sufficiently charged. The seat does not lower, but can be lifted.
• The bathlift stops as soon as the button is released.
Emergency Stop Button
• All seat movement is interrupted immediately when the emergency
stop button is pressed.

Check for any external damage each time you use the device.
If you identify any damage, contact a qualified technician.

4.2 Using the Bathlift
To get out of the bath, proceed in the reverse order.
CAUTION
Risk of Injury
Keep long hair well clear of the guide tubes when lowering
the seat. If necessary, use a hair net.
DO NOT hold the guide tubes when lowering or raising the
seat. Otherwise, pinching could occur.
When you sit down on the seat, the two side flaps must be
lying flat on the edge of the bathtub. Lift or lower the bathlift
or alter the installation position to achieve this.

5 Maintenance
5.1 Care instructions
Basic frame and seat frame
• Keep the bathlift free of dirt and clean it at regular intervals.
• Do not use any aggressive (pH value under 4.5 or over 8.5) or
abrasive cleaning agents.
• Rinse the bathlift thoroughly after each bath.
Charger
• Disconnect the power adapter from the power socket before
cleaning.
• Clean the charger with a dry cloth.
5.2 Maintenance/periodic checks
• If operated and cared for properly, the bathlift is maintenance-free.
• To maintain your bathlift’s functional safety, you should check it for
technical safety defects before moving it to a new bath or at least
every 24 months.
• Note the service instructions. These instructions can be provided
on request.
• Any repairs necessary should be carried out by a qualified technician
with original replacement parts only. If third-party products are
used, responsibility for the replacement is transferred to the
implementing party.
5.3 Disposal
When the product can no longer be used, the product, accessories and the
packaging materials should be sorted correctly.
This product contains a rechargeable lead battery. Old batteries may contain
hazardous materials that could damage the environment or health.
Please be environmentally responsible and recycle this product through
your recycling facility at its end of life.
5.4 Reuse
This product is suitable for reuse after it has been reconditioned. Follow
the instructions in Maintenance on page 15 when reconditioning the
product.
5.5 Transport
• Before transporting, disassemble the device into its component
parts, as described in the “Scope of delivery” section.
• Do not transport the device with the battery inserted.
• If possible, transport the device in its original box.
5.6 Storage
• Allow the device to dry fully in the air.
• Store the battery separately from the seat frame.
• If not using the device, recharge the battery at least once a month.
WARNING: RISK OF INJURY
Always have a dealer inspect the product for damage
before transferring the product to a different user. If any
damage is found, DO NOT use the product. Otherwise
injury may occur.

6 Warranty
6.1 Limited Warranty - North America
PLEASE NOTE: THE WARRANTY BELOW HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL LAW APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS
MANUFACTURED AFTER JULY 4, 1975.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser/user of our products.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.
Invacare warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three years for the original purchaser. If within such warranty
period any such product shall be proven to be defective, such product shall be repaired or replaced, at Invacare’s option. This warranty does not include any
labor or shipping charges incurred in replacement part installation or repair of any such product. Invacare’s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under
this warranty shall be limited to such repair and/or replacement.
For warranty service, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased your Invacare product. In the event you do not receive satisfactory warranty
service, please write directly to Invacare at the address on the back page. Provide dealer’s name, address, model number, date of purchase, indicate nature
of the defect and, if the product is serialized, indicate the serial number.
Invacare Corporation will issue a return authorization. The defective unit or parts must be returned for warranty inspection using the serial number, when
applicable, as identification within thirty (30) days of return authorization date. DO NOT return products to our factory without our prior consent. C.O.D.
shipments will be refused; please prepay shipping charges.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS: THE WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO PROBLEMS ARISING FROM NORMAL WEAR OR FAILURE TO
ADHERE TO THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS. IN ADDITION, THE FOREGOING WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO SERIAL NUMBERED

pour être utilisés en combinaison avec les accessoires
Invacare. Les accessoires conçus par d’autres fabricants n’ont
pas été testés par Invacare et leur utilisation avec les produits
Invacare est déconseillée.

Prenez toujours votre bain sous surveillance si votre état de
santé ne vous permet pas de prendre un bain tout(e) seul(e).
Ne procédez pas à des transformations ou modifications de
l'appareil de votre propre chef.
ATTENTION
Risque d'endommagement !
N'exposez pas le produit à la lumière directe du soleil.
Ne transportez ou ne stockez le produit que dans des locaux
secs à une température entre 0°C et 40°C, une pressión d'air
entre 860 et 1060hPa et une humidité de l'air de 30% à 75%.
Prenez note des informations figurant sur l’étiquette du
produit.
Ne pas dépasser le poids d'usager maximum indiqué afin de
respecter la capacité de charge du siège élévateur de bain. Si
vous surchargez l'élévateur de bain, cela peut provoquer des
endommagements de l'appareil.

2.5 Avertissements accumulateurs
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de blessures !
N'utiliser l'appareil qu'avec les accumulateurs d'origine
(accumulateur Invacare® H605 RIO).
Ne charger l'accumulateur qu'avec le chargeur d'origine
(chargeur enfichable Invacare® H605 RIO).
Veillez à remplacer à temps les accumulateurs à puissance
fortement réduite (portée).
Ne pas ouvrir ou modifier le bloc d'alimentation et
l'accumulateur.
Avant de nettoyer le chargeur, veillez à débrancher la prise
secteur.
Ne jetez jamais l'accumulateur au feu et ne le stockez jamais à
proximité d'un feu.
Si, après un endommagement de l'accumulateur, de l'acide
sulfurique diluée venait à entrer en contact avec les yeux,
rincez-les immédiatement avec beaucoup d'eau et allez
consulter un médecin sans attendre.
Si, après un endommagement de l'accumulateur, de l'acide
sulfurique diluée venait à entrer en contact avec la peau ou les
vêtements, lavez immédiatement et minutieusement l'endroit
concerné avec de l'eau.

Risque d'endommagement !
Ne touchez pas les contacts de l'accumulateur avec des objets
électroconducteurs ; cela peut provoquer un
endommagement de l'accumulateur (court-circuit).
3 MISE EN SERVICE

3 Mise en service
3.1 Chargement de l'accumulateur
• Chargez l'accumulateur après chaque utilisation.
• Ne charger l'accumulateur que dans une pièce sèche, jamais dans la
salle de bains.
• Veiller à une aération suffisante de la pièce pendant le chargement.
• La durée de chargement s'élève à 5 heures maximum.
• Vous ne pouvez pas surcharger l'accumulateur, le chargeur s'arrête
automatiquement lorsque l'accumulateur est plein.
• Si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé, recharger l'accumulateur au moins une
fois par mois.
• Après le chargement de l'accumulateur, séparez le chargeur de
l'accumulateur dans la séquence inverse.
1. Retirer le chargeur de l’élévateur de bain. Retourner l’accumulateur
afin d’en faire correspondre les rainures avec le chargeur
d’accumulateur.
2. Faire glisser le chargeur dans l’accumulateur.
3. Brancher le chargeur d’accumulateur à une prise murale.

Ne touchez jamais les contacts de chargement de
l'accumulateur.
ATTENTION
Risque d'endommagement !
Lors du chargement de l'accumulateur, respectez à tout prix
la séquence des opérations.

3.3 Montage dans la baignoire
Avant la mise en place, nettoyez la baignoire et les ventouses.
ATTENTION
Risque de basculement !
Vérifiez que l'appareil ait une position stable. Les ventouses ne
doivent pas se détacher lorsque l'appareil est chargé
Risque de pincement !
Saisissez le dossier par les côtés.
Risque d'endommagement !
Une fois le montage dans la baignoire effectué, ne décalez plus
l'armature de base.

4 Utilisation
4.1 Commande
Abaissement et élévation
• Si la DEL de l'appareil de commande manuelle est allumée en rouge,
cela signifie que l'accumulateur n'est pas suffisamment chargé. Le
siège n'est pas abaissé, il pourra cependant encore être élevé.
• Lorsque le bouton est relâché, l'élévateur s'arrête immédiatement.
Bouton d'arrêt d'urgence
• Lorsque le bouton d'arrêt d'urgence est actionné, tout mouvement
du siège est immédiatement interrompu.

Avant chaque utilisation, vérifiez que l'appareil n'a pas de
dommages extérieurs. Si vous constatez des
endommagements, veuillez vous adresser sans tarder à un
atelier spécialisé autorisé.
4 UTILISATION

4.2 Prendre un bain
Pour sortir, procédez aux opérations en sens inverse.
ATTENTION
Risque de blessures !
Maintenir les cheveux longs éloignés des tubes de guidage lors
de l'abaissement. Si nécessaire, portez une résille.
Lors de l’abaissement et de l’élévation du siège, ne vous tenez
pas aux tubes de guidage. Il existe sinon un risque de
basculement.
Les deux rabats latéraux doivent être posés de façon plane
sur le bord de la baignoire. Pour ce faire, élevez ou abaissez
l'élévateur de bain ou modifiez la position de montage.

5 Maintenance
5.1 Entretien
Armature de base et carcasse de siège
• Veillez à ce que l'élévateur de bain reste propre et nettoyez-le
régulièrement.
• N'utilisez pas de produits agressifs (valeur pH inférieure à 4,5 ou
supérieure à 8,5) ou de pro-duits abrasifs.
• Rincez soigneusement l'élévateur avec la douche après chaque bain.
Chargeur
• Débrancher le bloc d'alimentation de la prise pour le nettoyage.
• Nettoyez le chargeur avec un chiffon sec.
5.2 Maintenance/Contrôle périodique
• L'élévateur de bain ne nécessite aucune maintenance s'il est utilisé
et entretenu correctement.
• Afin de garantir la sécurité de fonctionnement du siège élévateur, il
faudra le soumettre tous les deux ans à un contrôle visant à
détecter d'éventuels défauts techniques.
• Veuillez respecter ce faisant le manuel de service. Sur demande, il
sera mis à votre disposition.
• Si des réparations s'avèrent nécessaires, elles ne pourront être
effectuées que par un atelier spécialisé autorisé et en utilisant des
pièces de rechange d'origine. Si des produits étrangers sont utilisés,
la personne effectuant les réparations endossera la responsabilité
pour le remplacement.
5.3 Élimination
Lorsque le produit n’est plus utilisable, le produit, les accessoires et les
matériaux d’emballage doivent être triés.
Le produit présent contient un accumulateur rechargeable au plomb. Les
batteries usagées contiennent éventuellement des produits polluants
nuisibles à l'environnement et à la santé.
Préservez l’environnement en faisant recycler ce produit en fin de vie.
5.4 Réutilisation
Le produit peut être réutilisé. Veuillez respecter les instructions de
Maintenance lors de la préparation.
5.5 Transport
• Pour le transport, désassembler les différents composants de
l'appareil représentés au paragraphe « Contenu de la livraison ».
• Ne transportez pas l'appareil avec l'accumulateur monté.
• Dans la mesure du possible, transportez l'appareil dans le carton
d'origine.
5.6 Stockage
• Exposez l'appareil à l'air jusqu'à ce qu'il soit entièrement sec.
• Stockez l'accumulateur et la carcasse du siège séparément.
• Si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé, recharger l'accumulateur au moins une
fois par mois.
AVERTISSEMENT: RISQUE DE
BLESSURE
Faites toujours inspecter le produit par un revendeur avant de
le céder à un autre utilisateur. Si des dommages sont détectés,
NE PAS utiliser le produit. Sinon, il y a un risque de blessure.

5.7 Dépannage
DÉFAUT CAUSE POSSIBLE REMÈDE
Aucun bruit de moteur/l'élévateur
ne bouge pas. L'accumulateur est vide ou n'est pas suffisamment
chargé.
Les contacts de l'accumulateur sont encrassés.
L'accumulateur n'est pas monté correctement.
Le câble de l'appareil de commande manuel est
endommagé.
Charger entièrement l'accumulateur.
Nettoyer les contacts de l'accumulateur.
Monter l'accumulateur correctement.
Envoyer l'appareil à un atelier spécialisé autorisé pour
le faire réparer.
Le siège s'élève uniquement. L'accumulateur n'est pas suffisamment chargé. Charger entièrement l'accumulateur.
Le siège s'arrête pendant
l'élévation. La charge est trop élevée. Respecter la charge maximum.
La DEL du bloc d'alimentation n'est
pas allumée pendant le chargement. L'accumulateur est défectueux.
Le chargeur n'est pas correctement branché.
Le chargeur est défectueux.
L'accumulateur est déjà entièrement chargé.

6.1 Garantie limitée – Amérique du Nord
NOTEZ QUE LA GARANTIE CI-DESSOUS A ÉTÉ RÉDIGÉE POUR ÊTRE CONFORME À LA LOI FÉDÉRALE APPLICABLE AUX PRODUITS
FABRIQUÉS APRÈS LE 4 JUILLET 1975.
Cette garantie s’applique uniquement pour l’acheteur/utilisateur initial de nos produits.
Cette garantie vous donne des droits spécifiques et vous pouvez disposer d’autres droits en fonction de l’État.
Invacare garantit pendant trois ans à l’acheteur d’origine que ce produit est exempt de défauts dans ses matériaux et sa conception. Si, pendant cette période
de garantie, le produit s’avérait défectueux, il devra être réparé ou remplacé à l’appréciation d’Invacare. Cette garantie n’inclut pas la main-d’œuvre et les
frais de transport encourus pour l’installation de la pièce de rechange ou la réparation du produit. La seule obligation d’Invacare et votre droit exclusif à
l’action en justice sont limités à ces réparations et/ou remplacements.
Pour les interventions sous garantie, merci de contacter le revendeur qui vous a vendu votre produit Invacare. Si vous n’êtes pas satisfait de la prise en
charge sous garantie, écrivez directement à Invacare à l’adresse mentionnée au verso du manuel. Indiquez le nom et l’adresse du vendeur, le numéro du
modèle, la date d’achat, la nature du défaut et, si le produit en porte un, indiquez son numéro de série.
Invacare émettra alors une autorisation de retour. Le produit ou les pièces défectueux doivent être retournés pour un examen de garantie avec le numéro
de série pour identification, s’il existe, dans les trente (30) jours suivant la date d’autorisation de retour. NE PAS retourner les produits à notre usine sans
notre consentement. Les envois contre remboursement seront refusés, merci de régler les frais d’expédition.
