Preparing for Use
Before you can use your cordless telephone. you must charge the HANDSET
lor 12 hours. Failure to do so will require recharging 01 the BATTERY PACK more
olten.
1. Place the HANDSET on the BASE UNIT Im 12 hours.
2. After 12 hours, remove the HANDSEI’ me Ins EASE UNIT.
Receiving Calls with the HANDSE T on the BASE UNIT
1. When the phone rings. lift the HANDSET The IN USE indicator will light
(Note: The HANDSET RINGER Switch must be in the "ON" position tor ringer
to acetate.)
2. Start yuur conversation.
a. To and your conversation. either press the buhon or place the
HANDSET on the BASE UNIT II you place the HANDSET on the BASE UNIT
charge cradle. yDu activate the automatic STANDBY lealure

The GH2400C cordless telephone automatically searches and selecls the
clearest channel when it is hetng used.
Security Code
This telephone has an internal sacurtty code with 55536 possible combinations.
Each time handset back to the base unit. the code is randomty set to a new
combination.
Communication between HANDSET and BASE UNlT may not be posstble
in any at the tollowlng situations.

to warn you that the background noise level is too high lor proper wmmunination
between the HANDSET and the BASE UNIT. When you hear Ihis 50th you

Your telephone can utilize a headset (not includedl to be connected to your
HANDSET lcr you to away a hands-tree communication When you plug in the
headset plug into the HEADSET JACK. it automatically mules the microphone and
speaker 01 the HANOSETt Unplug the headset to return the HANDSET to normal
use. The HEADSET JACK ls compatible with 2 5mm headset plugs only,

When the BATT Low indicator stans to blinka "beep" spud will be heard every
5 seconds This indicates that the BATTERY PACK needs to be recharged.
Charge the battery pack at least once every 90 days at non-use to avold battery
tatture. When the BATTERY PACK can no longer be charged. replacement oi the
BATTERY PACK will be necessary.
To maximize your battery's lite. we recommend that you periodically tully
discharge the pattery,and then recharge it. To do this.unptug your phone line cord
lrorn the wall phone jack Press the button. and allow the handset to
remain on lot to to 12 hours. Reconnect the phone cord to the wall phone jack
Return the handset to the base and allow it to tully charge tor 12 hours. it this
process is completed monthly. it will reduce the memory buildup that occurs tront

No dial tone, check the following:
