The Guardian™
Before We Get Started
What is ultrasonic sound?
Ultrasonic sounds are frequencies which are higher than the
range of human hearing. However, these sounds are very
irritating to nuisance pests, causing them to flee.
Will I be able to hear it?
The range of sounds produced by The Guardian™ include both
audible and inaudible sounds. Many people can hear sounds
from both settings 1 and 2, on the SELECT-A-PEST dial.
How long before they’re gone?
Although some customers report positive results in a few days,
we do recommend giving The Guardian™ two to three weeks
for best results.

Why should I use predator sounds?
The Guardian™ uses pre-recorded mountain lion calls which
creates a “danger” zone large pests will not want to enter.

MOTION
DETECTOR
How does the infrared motion sensor work?
The Guardian™ uses an infrared sensor which detects the
movement of a heat source, such as an animal. The
Guardian™ will detect movement up to 100 ft. in front of the
unit, with a clear line of sight.
What is the coverage area?
The Guardian™ will detect movement and send sounds up to 100
ft. in front of the unit in a clear line of sight.

Remote control
Start by selecting one of two options: CONSTANT or MOTION
DETECTOR. CONSTANT mode sends out a continuous stream of
unpleasant sounds or wild cat calls. MOTION DETECTOR will only
send out sounds when The Guardian™ detects movement.
Moving the PREDATOR SOUNDS switch to YES disables the
SELECT-A-PEST mode, using predator sounds only. The
volume of the predator sounds can be easily adjusted
using the PREDATOR VOLUME dial.
3 SELECT-A-PEST Dial
The SELECT-A-PEST dial sets the ultrasonic sound frequency
and has four main groups. These groups are labeled with pest
names to provide a starting point to target your specific pest.
Each group has more than one setting to help you dial in The
Guardian™ to your needs. Please keep in mind that, just like
humans, all animals have different hearing ranges. Different
animals are affected by different sounds - or settings. Most
importantly, make sure you are giving The Guardian™ at
least one week on a specific setting before making changes.

outside the motion detector range or too small to trigger the
unit automatically.
