The Pro EX Wifi Irrigation Contro oller communicates with the K‐Rain Application on a smartph hone or o an iPhonee 4s and later. on tablet byy using Wifi technology IMPORTTANT: Use only the po ower supply provided. UL Listed. • RANGE: up to 200 feet (line of sight) from the Pro EX Wifi enabled controller. Note: The Wifi Hub communicates with the Pro EX Wifi enable controller via radio frequency and it connects to the internet with its internal Wifi chip. Smart Irrigation Modes • Weather IQ Mode: The system checks the rainfall over the last 24 hours based on the weather station connected. If the amount of rainfall is equal or higher than the Weather IQ set, it then suspends the watering for the day. • Seasonal Adjust: The user can do a master watering run time adjustment by using the Seasonal Adjust Feature. • Local Mode – Suspend irrigation with rain sensors. ITEMS NEEDED: 1‐ Pro Ex Wifi Enabled Irrigation Controller. 2‐ RF Module 3‐ Wifi Module INSTALLATION: A) Proceed to mount and install the Pro EX Irrigation Controller. Note: Read the irrigation controller manual and follow procedures. B) Install the RF Module C) Place your Wifi Hub inside of your home, in an area that is nearby to your irrigation controller. Make sure the selected area has a good Wifi Signal. CREATING A USER ACCOUNT AND SETTING A WIFI HUB CONTROLLER FOR THE FIRST TIME. 1. Download the KRain Pro EX Controller app From the Ap Store 2. Create a USER Account, using your e‐mail address. Step1 Step2 Click on “Create Account” Button Enter a valid e‐mail address Note: Password must be at least 6 characters long Step3. Enter user information 3. Follow the simple App setting Wizard to connect your Wifi Hub to user Wifi Network. Note: Wifi needs to be turned ON at the iPhone or iPad. Step4. Reminder screen. After following the procedure indicated, click Next. Step5. After plugging the power to the Wifi Hub the “K” LED light should be flashing (On/ Off) Step6. If the LED is not flashing, press for 3 seconds the setting button located on the bottom base of the unit. The “K” LED should start flashing (On / Off) Step7. Click on “Open Settings” button or go direct to the iOS general Wifi settings scree Step8. Select the KRAIN Wifi network. The Wifi Hub creates a momentary Wifi network during Step9. Go to the Pro Ex controller midbox. Move the dial to the REMOTE/PIN location. the setting process. (During the time the “K” LED is flashing). Press the UP button, until you see NO Wifi on the controller LCD. Press MANUAL START/NEXT button. And it will start searching for the Wifi Hub. Step10. Go back to KRain Pro EX Controller app. It will show this screen below as a reminder that the Controller and Wifi hub had to be paired before going into the next step. The Midbox shows “YS Wifi” on the LCD, once it has been paired with the Wifi Hub. Step11. Enter the Wifi Network (SSID) and the password. Once reviewed, that the information entered is correct. Step12. Confirmation Screen. Please wait 1 minute for the process to finish. If the Wifi Hub has the “K” LED lighted steady. Then click the Proceed and Click “Configure Controller” Step13. Name your controller, and fill the address location of this controller. Note: It is important to fill the address for the Weather Forecast and Weather IQ to work properly. And click NEXT DONE button. If is not lighted up, click TRY AGAIN button and repeat the process from Step4. Step14. Congratulation on setting your Wifi controller. Click DONE. ADDING AN ADDITIONAL WIFI CONTROLLER TO AN EXISTING USER ACCOUNT. Note: End user accounts allow to control up to 4 Wifi Pro EX controllers. Step14. On the app home page, click on the controller’s Name and a new window will open. APP HOME PAGE Step15. On this new window, click the ADD CONTROLLER button as shown below. And repeat the process from Step4 thru Step14, of previous chapter. Information provided on the home page. MANUAL CONTROL PAGE Note: In order to the Manual Control to work, the irrigation controller selection dial, needs to be on the OFF or AUTO position. SUSPEND IRRIGATION WITH ON/OFF SWITCH There are two ways to suspend your Wifi Irrigation Controller 1) Indefinitely, by selecting OFF 2) or Up to 14 days from current date. SETTING A PROGRAM User can make all program settings needed from one single screen. Making it easy and user‐friendly. SCHEDULING PAGE The calendar shows a water drop representation, on the days of the month that have a program scheduled. Once the user clicks into a specific date, it can see on detail the watering informaton for the day. SCHEDULING PAGE It provides the user the current weather condition for the selected controller. And the next 3 days weather forecast. ACCOUNT PAGE It contains all related information of the user and their smart controller. RENAME YOUR CONTROLLER NAME AND THE CONTROLLER STATIONS NAME At the account page, select the controller by clicking at it.
