The reading of the smart water meters takes place using the READy Converter, Basic which receives data and sends this to a smartphone/tablet which is responsible for storing the data. Each device can contain data from up to 15,000 meters. The direct communication between the smart water meters and READy Converter, Basic is based on a comprised one-way communication protocol focusing on fast, safe and robust data communication and long battery lifetime. This comprised communication protocol is called C mode. Due to the optimized Wireless M-Bus communication protocol, READy Converter, Basic can receive data from up to 30 smart water meters per second, making it a perfect drive-by solution.
