Followings are for still camera operation and please refer to seperated manual for PC camera operation. ) STILL CAMEAR ,' INSTALLING THE BATTERIES 1. Open the battery compartment by pushing and sliding down the cover as shown. 2. Insert the 2 pcs of"AAA" batteries as the direction shown in the battery compartment and close the cover. Once the battery is used up, replace it in the same way. If your Eye—on is flashmemory version (KTlCDOF) then the images in the camera are kept safe even though the battery is used up. If your Eye-on is SDRAM version (KTlOCDS), you need to replace battery within one minutes after you have warning sign from Eye on. ("Full' is displayed and blinking in the LCD. Please refer to "sign for warning" in the later part of this manual for more details) x REMARK 1. Make sure that batteries are inserted in the right direction. Otherwise the camera will not work. 2. Batteries are needed only when Eye-on is used as Still camera. 80 you would better remove the batteries from the Eye-on when you use it as a PC camera for a long time. \ m / \ f \ ATTACING THE NECKLACE STRAP TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFF For your convenience, a necklace strap is supplied with Press the power button for a second and wait 1 or 2 your Eye-on. seconds more for powering on. Connect the short strap and long one using the connector as shown. For powering off, press power button again for a second. And then "OPP" is shown on the LCD for a second and it will be off. OFF-- x REMARK Eye—on is offering you automatic power— off function to save battary , that is to power off automatically if there is no button inputmore than 5 minutes. In the still camera mode, your Eyebn is powered only from battery so you would better to power it off when you do not use it for a long time. / \ Focuswc EYE-ON Unlikely in the PG camera mode, you can not know the status of the focus by your eye. So in the still camera mode, you need to adjust the focus approximately according to the distance to the object you want to take. Adjust the focus ring according to the following instruction. D The distance to the object is around lmeter. s The distance to the object is less than 20 centimeters. x REMARK In the PG camera mode, you can see the status offocus by image shown through SKYGARDEN and you can fix the focus accordingly. xm / / \ CAMERA MODES As you press the mode button, Eye-on circles through several different modes like High quality snapshot (VGA high), Normal quality snapshot( VGA low), Timer, Multi -snap, Audio recoding, Audio playback, Format. TAKING SNAPSHOT As described before, your Eye-on offer two different snapshot mode, VGA high and VGA low. In these modes, you can take snapshots using snapshot button and view finder just as a normal camera. 1. Fix the snapshotmode, VGA high or VGA low. 2. Make sure that focus ring is set as the instruction. (Refer to "Focusing Eyeon") Otherwise, the picture quality may be very poor unlikely your expectation. 3. Make sure that the object is located within the View finder range. 4. Press the snapshot button when you ready then the image will be taken with a click. Make sure that you need to hold the camera still for a one or two seconds for the best result. 5. Whenever the image is taken, the number shown in the LCD will be added by one, and the number shows the total number of snapshots taken by that time. USING THE TIMER In the timer mode, you can take a picture 10 seconds after you press the snapshotbuttonbefore taking a VGA high image. 1. Set the mode to timer. (This is only available with VGA high mode) 2. Make sure that focus ring is set as the instruction. (Refer to ”Focusing Eye-on”) Otherwise, the picture quality may be very poor unlikely your expectation. 3. Make sure that the object is located within the View finder range and hold the camera with the stand. 4. Once you press the snapshot button, the countdown will be shown on the LCD from 9 and it take the picture with the click after 10 senconds. 5. When the image is taken, the number shown in the LCD will be added by one, and the number shows the total number of snapshots with the VGA high mode by that time. In this mode, you can take three VGA low image consecutively (with 0.3 sec interval) whenever you press snapshot button. 1. Set the mode to timer. (This is only available with VGA low mode) And make sure that focus ring is set as the instruction. (Refer to ‘Pocusing Eye-on”). Otherwise, the picture quality may be very poor unlikely your expectation. 2. Make sure that the object is located within the viewfinder range and hold the camera still for one or two seconds for the best result. 3. Once the snapshot button is pressed, it will take three pictures consecutively with a click. 4. When the pictures are taken, the number shown in the LCD will be added by three and the number shows the total number of snapshots with VGA low mode by that time. he REMARK Any button pressed when multi-snap is being taken is not effective. USING MULTI-SNAP MODE CAPTURING VIDEO CLIPS (LIVE VIDEO AND AUDIO) In video clipmode, you can take 320 X 240 pixel motion pictures (live video) together with the audio during you press the snapshot button and it is available upto 108 seconds. The time elapsed for recoding is shown in the LCD. 1. Set themode to video clip. 2. Make sure that focus ring is set as the instruction. (Refer to ”Focusing Eye-on') Otherwise, the picture quality may be very poor unlikely your expectation. 3. Make sure that the object is located within the View finder range. Press and hold the snapshotbutton until the recording is finished. 4. When the recordingis finished, 1 et the snaps hot button go. 5. Whenever the video clip is recorded , the number shown in the LCD will be added by one and the number shows the total number of video clip by that time. AUDIO (VOICE) RECORDING In the audio recording mode, you can record your voice or any other audio throughbuilt-in mike upto 34 minutes. Once you press the snapshot button, the record start and you can stop it with another pressing the snapshot button. The time elapsed for recoding is shown in the DOD. Mint-phone 1. Set the mode to audio recording. 2. Press snapshot button for recording start, and the time elapsed for recoding is shown in the LCD. 3. Press snapshot button again for stop recording. 4. Whenever the audio file is recorded , the number shown in the DOD will be added by one and the number shows the total number of audio files by that time. as REMARK The time elapsed for recoding is displayed with second until 999 seconds, and after that It is displayed with minutes. / \ AUDIO PLAYBACK As described before, your Eyaon offers two different audio playback modes, audio playback (backward) mode, and audio playback (forward) mode. The only difference is the order of data playback, from the lastly recorded audio data or from the firstly recorded data. 1. Set themode to audio playback (backward) or audio playback (forward). 2. Select the file number which you want to playback and then press snapshot button. And press mode button to stop playback. If you press the snapshotbutton during playback, the next audio file starts to playback automatically. 3. Once the paly back is finished for a audio file, the number ofthe next audio file is displayed in the LCD. You can playback other audio file in the same manner. in REMARK If the Eye on is too close to the audio source during the record, the audio quality in the playback maybe poor. x/zh / / \ HOW MUCH MEMORY IS LEFT In the allmodes of Eye -on except formatmode, you can check how much memory is left in each mod e. The numbers displayed in snapshot and multi snap modes mean the number of cuts which can be taken more. And in the audio recording and video clip and audio playback modes, the number means the time left. 1. Press the mode button in each mode for about a second, it display the number for cuts or time left in that mode. 2. Let the mode button go after you check the memory left. if REMARK 1. In the Video clip mode, the time left is displayed with second. 2. In the audio recoding mode, the time left is displayed with second ifit is less than 999 seconds, and if it is more than 999 seconds, it is displayed Withminutes. 3. The number displayed in the LCD as amemory left can be different from the actual according to the conditions ofthe picture taking or video, audio recoding later. / \ FILE DELETING In the all modes of Eye —on except foymat and playback mode, you can erase files in each mode using delete button in two ways "one by one" or "all". } DELETING "ONE BY ONE" IS TO DELETE FROM THE LASTLY RECORDED FILE IN EACH MODE. 1. Press delete button in each mode then the lastly recorded data will be deleted. 2. Whenever the file is deleted, the number shown in the LCD will be decreased by one. } DELETING 'ALL" IS TO DELETE ALL FILES IN EACH MODE. 1. Press the delete button in each mode for more than 3 seconds, the number in the LCD is blinking and all files in thatmode will be deleted. 2. When the all files in that mode are deleted, the number shown in the LCD will be zero. if REMARK 1. If you press delete button in the formatmode, all the files in the Eye-on will be deleted. 2. You can delete audio file in both mode of audio recording and audio playback. In case of audio file deletion in audio recording mode, just follow above procedures. In case of audio file deletion in audio playback(forword or reward) mode, make sure that file can be deleted only after it is played back, and all file deletion is not available. x/z—fl / / \ With formatmode, you can delete all the image and audio files in the camera or initialize wrong file system. 1. Set the mode to format 2. Press deletebutton until the letter of 'DEL" is disappeared from the LCD. 3. Once the format is finished, the letter of "End" will be shown in the LCD. 35143”? as SIGN FOR WARNING When the memory is getting full and the memory left is not enough, the number in the LCD starts blinking. However it does notmean thatmemory is completely full so you can take some more images or audio. When the memory is completely F ' . full, your Eye-on stops working U, ' and the letter of"full‘ will be displayed and blinking in the LCD. However if you delete some or all files then the LCD will be restored and the camera will work again. Make sure to download any file which you want to keep to your PC before deletion. \ m When the battery is running out, the icon for battery is varying. When the battery is completely used up, the battery icon will start to blink and then after a few seconds, the Power will be automatically off. Once you replace with new battery, the battery icon will be restored as full condition. is REMARK If your Eye-on is flash memory version (KTIEDOF) then the images in the camera are kept safe even though the battery is used up. If your Eye-on is SDRAM version (KTIKDOS), you need to replace battery within one minutes atter you have warning sign from Eye on. HOWTO USE ; PREPARING PC CAMERA Once you connect the Eye-on to yourPC using USB cable, it becomes a video camera that enables you capture video and images directly to your PC. And now it is operated by the application 8] W named "SKYGARDEN" and the batteries are not needed anymore because it is powered from USB cable. One more thing is, you can edit the images using the S/ W of "ARCSOFI‘" which is supplied with camera as free. LH %Q%l
