Overview
The ActiveLot OBD Module gathers information from the vehicle along with the GPS location
and transmits it back to the ActiveLot system. While the vehicle is running, it will transmit
once every five seconds. While the vehicle is off, it will initiate a transmission cycle once
every hour.

This device complies with part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference
(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance
could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Procedure
WARNING! Do not insert or remove the OBD module from the vehicle’s OBD-II port
while the vehicle is running.
1. Locate your vehicle’s 16-pin OBD-II port.
2. Insert the OBD module into the OBD-II port on your vehicle.
3. Start the vehicle. This is required to pull the VIN (vehicle identification number) from the
vehicle’s computer system.
4. You can verify the unit is transmitting using the ActiveLot iOS app, the Web app, or the
KeyTrak application.
NOTE: A couple of minutes after installation, the OBD module will acquire the
necessary GPS satellite information to provide an accurate location.
