Products containingchlorine (calcium hypochlorite) can seriously damage this product aswell as the other fittings in your toilet. Kohler Company shall not beresponsible or liable for any damage caused by the use of cleanerscontaining chlorine.SElectrical service requirements: 120 VAC, 15 A, 60 Hz (circuit protectedby a Class A GFCI). The power requirement for this vented toilet kit is ?W at 12 VDC. The kit has an 8’ electrical cord and AC adapter.SThis vented toilet kit uses a motion sensing device to automatically turnitself on and off.SPlug in the AC adapter only after the vent kit is properly installed in thetoilet tank.SDo not use an extension cord with this product.SDo not attempt to repair or replace the AC adapter.INSTALL ELECTRICALSERVICENOTE: You can use an existingelectrical service if it meets thefollowing requirements.SA licensed electrician shouldinstall a properly-grounded,grounding-type receptaclewhich is protected by a GFCI.SWe recommend that theelectrician locate thereceptacle no less than 6”above the floor line, and withina 32” radius measured levelwith the toilet ledge, as shown.NOTICE: Do not connect thisproduct to an extension cord.NOTICE: Follow all electricalcodes.6” MIN.32” R.INSTALL VENT KITSShut off the water supply tothe toilet, and flush the toilet torelieve the water pressure.SCarefully remove the tankcover.
3Kohler Co., Kohler, WI 85984-2-AA (-)SRemove and discard theexisting refill tube from thefloat valve.SPosition the snorkel assemblyover the overflow tube, andhang the snorkel assembly onthe back wall of the tank.SAdjust the snorkel assemblyfrom side-to-side andfront-to-back to preventinterference with the trip leverlinkage and float mechanism.SInsert the replacement refilltube into the hole at the end ofthe snorkel assembly. Connectthe refill tube to the float valveand to the overflow tube. Makesure the refill tube pointsdirectly down into the overflowtube to ensure proper toiletoperation.STurn on the water supply to thetoilet. Allow the toilet tank to fillto shut off. Adjust the waterlevel to the marked water line,if necessary.SInstall the power unit to thesnorkel assembly by firstengaging the power unit to theclips on the snorkel assembly.Then press down on the powerunit to snap it in place.SRoute the power cablebetween the clips, and plug theAC adapter into a properly-grounded, grounding-typereceptacle which is protectedby a GFCI.SCarefully re-install the tankcover.CALL US FOR HELP – 1-800-4-KOHLERREQUESTING SERVICEHere’s what you need to do if you require service:First review the installation instructions to ensure correct installation.
