Additional Information
1. Radio frequency exposure
This device is a radio transmitter and receiver. When
in operation it communicates with a Bluetooth®
equipped mobile device by receiving and
transmitting radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic
elds (microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4
to 2.4835 GHz. The output power of the radio
transmitter is low (0.001 W). This device is designed
to operate in compliance with the RF exposure
guidelines and limits set by national authorities
and international health agencies when used any
compatible LG Electronics mobile phone.
2. Potentially explosive atmosphere
Turn o your electronic device when in any area
with a potentially explosive atmosphere. Although
this is uncommon, your electronic device could
generate sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause
an explosion or re resulting in bodily injury or
even death. Areas with a potentially explosive
atmosphere are often, but not always, clearly
marked.
3. Emergency calls
IMPORTANT!
This device and the electronic device connected to
the headset operate using radio signals, mobile and
landline networks as well as user - programmed
functions, which cannot guarantee connection
under all conditions. Therefore you should never
rely solely upon any electronic device for essential
communications (e.g. medical emergencies).
Remember, in order to make or receive calls, the
headset and the electronic device connected to the
headset must be switched on and in a service area
with adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency
calls may not be possible on all mobile phone
networks or when certain network services and/
or phone features are in use. Check with your local
service provider.

4. Battery information
A rechargeable battery has a long service life if
treated properly. A new battery or one that has not
been used for a long period of time could have
reduced capacity the rst few times it is used. Do
not expose the battery to extreme temperatures,
never above +60 °C(+140 °F) or under -20 °C
(-4 °F). For maximum battery capacity, use the
battery at room temperature. If the battery is used
in low temperatures, the battery capacity will
be reduced. The battery can only be charged in
temperatures between +10 °C(+50 °F) and
+45 °C (+113 °F). For your safety, do not remove the
battery incorporated in the product. If you need to
replace the battery, take it to the nearest authorised
LG Electronics service point or dealer for assistance.
5. Recycling the battery in this device
The battery in this device must be disposed of
properly and should never be placed in municipal
waste. The LG Electronics service partner who
removes the battery will dispose of it according to
local regulations.
6. Conditions
-The warranty is valid only if the original receipt
issued to the original purchaser by the dealer,
specifying the date of purchase and serial
number, is presented with the product to be
repaired or replaced. LG Electronics reserves the
right to refuse warranty service if this information
has been removed or changed after the original
purchase of the product from the dealer.
-If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product,
the repaired or replaced product shall be
warranted for the remaining time of the original
warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the
date of repair, whichever is longer. Repair or
replacement may involve the use of functionally
equivalent reconditioned units. Replaced parts
or components will become the property of LG
Electronics.
-This Warranty does not cover any failure of the
product due to normal wear and tear, or due
to misuse, including but not limited to use in
other than the normal and customary manner,
in accordance with instructions for use and
maintenance of the product. Nor does this
warranty cover any failure of the product due
to accident, modication or adjustment, acts of
God or damage resulting from liquid.
-This warranty does not cover product failures due
to improper repair installations, modications
or service performed by a non- LG Electronics
authorised person. Tampering with any of the
seals on the product will void the warranty.
-THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WHETHER
WRITTEN OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THIS PRINTED
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO
THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL LG ELECTRONICS OR
ITS VENDORS BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE
WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
TO LOST PROFITS OR COMMERCIAL LOSS, TO
THE FULL EXTENT THOSE DAMAGES CAN BE
DISCLAIMED BY LAW.

Limited Warranty
Subject to the conditions of this Limited Warranty,
LG Electronics warrants this product to be free from
defects in design, material and workmanship at the
time of its original purchase by a consumer, and for
a subsequent period of one (1) year. Should your
product need warranty service, please return it to
the dealer from whom it was purchased or contact
your local LG Electronics contact centre to get
further information.
Important Safety Information
Avoiding hearing damage
Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your
headset at a high volume. Set the volume to a safe
level. Over time you can become accustomed to a
higher volume that may sound normal but can be
damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing
in your ears or mued speech, stop listening and
have your hearing checked. The louder the volume,
the less time is required before your hearing could
be aected.
Hearing experts suggest that to protect your
hearing:
yLimit the amount of time you use the headset at
high volume.
yAvoid turning up the volume to block out noisy
surroundings.
yTurn the volume down if you
can’t hear people speaking
near you.
Using Headsets safely
Use of headsets to listen to music while operating
a vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in
some areas. Be careful and attentive whilst driving.
Stop using this device if you nd it disruptive or
distracting whilst operating any type of vehicle or
performing any other activity that requires your full
attention.

benzene, etc. for cleaning.

compliance could void the user’s authority to

Charging Battery
This device uses built-in battery.
yPlug the USB cable into the USB port at the
bottom of the unit.
And connect the adapter to charge.
yLED lights on red while charging.
LED lights on blue when charged.
yThe device informs the battery status whenever
the device is turned on. (Refer to page 11)
yYou can check the battery status by pressing
button twice while using the device.
yBefore using it, charge the battery in full.
yWhen the battery is completely discharged,
charging time is approx. 2 hours.
yOperating time is approx. 8 hours. It may
vary depending on the battery status and
operational conditions.
yThe device's power is turned o
automatically when the USB cable is
plugged.

Attach the device to your clothing for more
comfortable t.
It is recommended to keep the distance
within 20 cm between the microphone and
user.

Basic Operating
This device can be used by pairing with a
Bluetooth-enabled Blutooth devices.
1. Slide up ı switch to (Mobile mode).
2. Plug the earphone into the device.
3. Press button for approx. 2 seconds to turn on
the device.
In 5 seconds, "Discovering" voice information is
heard with blue light , the device is ready
to pair.
If repairing is not performed within
3 minutes under the "discovering" mode, the
power is turned o automatically.

4. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device's
settings and select the “LG BTS1”.

"Your device is connected" voice information is
heard, violet blinking twice.
yDepending on the Blutooth device, you
need to enter the PIN code (0000).
yList of settings may vary depending on the
type of Blutooth device.
yOnce the pairing is performed, the device

yIf the device is out of the range, the pairing
is disconnected.
To reconnect, make the device be back in
the range. If the device is not reconnected
automatically, press button to make
the device switch into "discovering" mode.

Turn o the device and follow the instructions
below.
1. Press and hold button for more than 5
seconds when the device is turned on.
2. When you hear "Discovering" voice information,
turn on the Bluetooth function on your
Bluetooth device to select “LG BTS1”.
When the pairing is completed,
"Your device is connected" voice information is
heard, violet blinking twice.
Advanced Operating
Handsfree
This device supports a handsfree function via
Bluetooth. Before using this function, pair the
device with your phone.
Receiving a call: Press button to accept an
incoming call.
Rejecting a call: Press and hold button to
ignore an incoming call.
Switching the voice output: Press and hold
button for more than 3 seconds during a call.
Receiving a second call (During a call): Press and
hold button to accept an incoming call.
To return to the previous call, press and hold
button again (Only when call waiting is set on your
phone).
Finishing a call: Press button.
When you make a phone call: The voice output is
connected to the device automatically. Depending
on the phone, you need to press button for 3
seconds.
To mute or unmute microphone: Press button
for 3 seconds during a call.

Voice Dialing
Press and hold button for more than
3 seconds. Speak clearly saved name of the person
to call.
Voice Dialing Service may vary depending on
the phone.

Using two Bluetooth devices
This device supports Multi-Connecting via
Bluetooth with two Bluetooth devices at the same
time. (One Blutooth Media Player and one mobile
phone)
1. Pair the device with a mobile phone.
(Refer to page 8)
2. Turn off the device.
3. Press and hold button for more than
5 seconds.
The device is ready to pair.
4. Pair with the Blutooth media player .
5. While the device is paired with the media player,
turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile
phone's settings.
6. Select the “LG BTS1” on the Bluetooth setting list.
"Multi-Connection" voice information is heard.
yIn case of multi-connetion, the operation of
the device is connected to the media player.
On your mobile phone, you can only make
and receive calls. You can not play music or
media les .
yYour Blutooth Media Player must only
support the A2DP/AVRCP proles, not the
Headset/Hands-Free proles.
yTwo handsets which support both the
Headset/Hands-Free and A2DP/AVRCP
proles cannot be connected to this device
simultaneously. But one mobile phone
supporting Headset/Hands-Free and
a Blutooth Media Player supporting only
A2DP/AVRCP can be connected.

Listening to TV sound
This device can be paired with LG smart TV. You can
listen to the TV sound comfortably via Bluetooth
using this device.
1. Slide down ı switch to (TV mode).
2. Plug the earphone into the device.
3. Turn on the device.
In 5 seconds, "Discovering" voice information is
heard with blue light , the device is ready
to pair.
If repairing is not performed within
3 minutes under the "discovering" mode, the
power is turned o automatically.

4. Select the [SETTINGS] menu on your LG smart
TV.
5. Select the [SOUND] on the [Settings] menu.
6. Select the [Sound out] on the list.
7. Select the [LG Sound Sync. (Wireless)] to search
the device to connect.
8. When the search is complete, “LG BTS1” appears
on the screen.
When the pairing is complete,
"Your device is connected" voice information is
heard from the device, violet blinking
twice.
yOnce the pairing is performed, the device is
connected to the latest TV automatically.
yDepending on the type of LG Smart TV,
Sound Sync settings menu may be dierent.
yConnecting time is approx. 10 ~ 20 seconds.

the TV and the device.

Troubleshooting

yRemove the obstacle in the path of the Bluetooth device and the

yDepending on the type of the Bluetooth device or surrounding
environment, your device may not be paired with the device.

yThe volume of this device or your Bluetooth device is set to
minimum.
yWhen you use the other device at high volume, the sound quality
may be deteriorated. Lower the volume of the devices.
