The table below describes various display indicators or icons that appear on the phone’s display screen. Turning Your Phone On and Off Menu and Options Entering Text How to set the tone 1. Hold down the [END] key until the phone switches on. 2. Alarm Allows you to set one of three alarms. The current time is displayed at the top of the screen when you select an alarm to set. At the alarm time, the Alarm icon will be displayed on the LCD screen and the alarm will sound. This menu includes functions related to SMS (Short Message Services). New message This menu includes functions related to SMS (Short Message Services). Calendar You can check track of daily or monthly schedules. Inbox You will be alerted when you have received a message. Memo You can create a list of tasks. Drafts This menu shows the present message list. Outbox This menu allows to view the message which is about to be sent or has failed to be sent. Sent This menu allows you to view the messages which have already been sent, including time and content. Listen voice mail This menu provides you with a quick way of accessing your voice mailbox (if provided by your network). Info messages Info service messages are text messages delivered by the network to your handset. Templates There are pre-defined messages in the list. You can view and edit the template messages or create new messages. Settings This menu allows you to set features of your network service provider: Text message/Voicemail number/Info message. 9. SIM services Menu 1 Depending on whether you have SAT support services or not (i.e. SIM Application Toolkit) on the SIM card, this menu name may be different. If the SIM card supports SAT services, this menu will be the operator-specific service name stored on the SIM card, for instance “Special”. Please refer in that case to the information provided with your SIM card for further information on how to use the related options. Call history Menu 2 You can check the record of missed, received, and dialled calls only if the network supports the Calling Line Identification (CLI) within the service area. The number and name (if available) are displayed together with the date and time at which the call was made. You can also view call durations. All calls Displays all the lists of three types (Received/Dialled/Missed calls) by time. Missed calls This option lets you view the last 20 unanswered calls. Dialled calls This option lets you view the last 20 outgoing calls (called or attempted). Received calls This option lets you view the last 20 incoming calls. Call duration Allows you to view the duration of your incoming and outgoing calls. Messaging Menu 5 FM radio Menu 4 1. Press the corresponding number key of a channel to store the selected radio station. 2. After presetting radio channels, you can listen to another channel by pressing the corresponding number key. 3. You can access the following option menus by pressing the left soft key [Options]. › Edit channel: You can adjust frequency and channel 0.1 MHz at a time using the Left/ Right navigation keys and number keys. › Auto scan: If you turn "Auto Scan Now?" on, this automatically sets the radio channel. When "Save this Station?" message pops up and you select Yes, the selected frequency will be stored. › Reset channels: You can delete all channels you saved. › Listen via speaker: Select this to listen to the radio through the built-in speaker. To turn off the speaker, select "Listen via headset" in the [Options]. Search › Text message Message centre number - Enter the details of your message centre. Delivery report - Slide the switch left to receive confirmation that your messages have been delivered. Validity period - Choose how long your messages are stored at the message centre. Reply charging - Choose whether to allow and/or send a read reply. Message type - Convert your text into Voice, Fax, Paging, X.400 . ERMES. Save sent message - Select the menu whether you save the message which is already sent. › Voicemail number: Add a new voicemail service. › Info message: Choose your reception status, language and other settings. Tools Menu 6 Games Has List of default games available in the phone. Calculator This contains the standard functions such as +, -, x, ÷: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. Stopwatch Stopwatch is available just as common stopwatches we see and use in daily life. Unit Converter This converts any measurement into a unit you want. World clock Allows you to determine the current time in another time zone or country. › Call alert type: This option determines the incoming call notification mode. › Ring tones: You can select the ringtone for incoming voice calls. › Ring volume: Set the ringtone volume. › Message alert type: You can set how often the phone is to inform you of a received message until it is read. › Message tones: You can select a file from among your own personal files or from the default files, to be played by the phone upon receiving a message. › Message volume: Set the message tone volume. › Keypad tones: You can set the key tone to be played when pressing the keys. › Keypad volume: You can set the volume of the chosen key tone. › Slide tone: Select the desired tone the phone will emit when you slide up/down the phone. › Effect sound volume: You can set the effect volume. › Power on/off volume: You can set the effect volume to be played when the phone is Settings Menu 9 (Continued) You can search for contacts in Phonebook. Power save If you set this to On, you can save the power when you are not using the phone. Network selection You can select a network that will be registered either automatically or manually. Battery information and care › You do not need to completely discharge the battery before recharging. Unlike other battery systems, there is no memory effect that could compromise the battery’s performance. › Use only LG batteries and chargers. LG chargers are designed to maximize the battery life. › Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery pack. › Replace the battery when it no longer provides acceptable performance.
