This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the A2DP or Hands-Free Bluetooth " #$ ENG Introduction Included in the Package HBS-800 Earbuds (2 Sets) Charger User Manual Warranty Card Description of Parts Headset Memory Flex Neck Strap Charging Port Microphone ANC Switch LED Indicator Power Switch VOLUME UP Button VOLUME DOWN Button CALL Button REWIND Button FAST FORWARD Button PLAY / PAUSE / STOP Button Earphone (L) Earphone (R) How to Use Charging ENG - When the charger is connected, with the power switched on or off, the headset will turn off. - While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid red light. - When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off. Low Battery - A low battery alert will play once every 2 minutes. - If the battery is not charged, the headset will turn off. Battery Status Alert - Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button for 1 second to check the battery status of the HBS-800. The audible battery status alert will inform you of the battery level. There are 3 levels of battery power: 1. Battery High 2. Battery Medium 3. Battery Low - An HBS-800 battery status indicator will appear on the iPhone screen. Power On / Power Off - Slide the power switch to the âONâ or âOFFâ position. Pairing %& '' '# *;< device. - There are 2 pairing mode methods with the HBS-800. ' &'% 1) Easy Pairing a) Slide the power switch to the âONâ position. => ; # < '? ; < $ If it has been paired but no paired device is in range it will enter pairing mode after 10 seconds. '@ $ =J'? ; '< *#'&' ' devices. d) Select âLG HBS800 H01 S01â from the list of devices. e) If asked for a Password/Pin Code enter 0000 (4 Zeros). f) Once the devices are paired, you will hear âHeadset pairedâ. 'K&Q%[ ; < ' \ $ ENG How to Use 2) Manual Pairing (pairing with another phone or re-pairing) a) With the power off, press the CALL button and slide the power switch to the âONâ position. Hold the CALL button for about 2 seconds. b) When the headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light. After the procedure repeat Easy Pairing steps âc)â through âf)â. NFC - Near Field Communication Near Field Communication is short-range wireless technology. It helps you to pair/connect Bluetooth easily. Note : If your phone does not support NFC, pair the headset manually. (See the Pairing method on page 4,5). For details on NFC, see the user guide of your phone. NFC 1) NFC Pairing & connection a) Turn on NFC and Bluetooth on the phone you want to pair with the HBS-800. b) Turn the HBS-800 on. c) Touch the NFC area of HBS-800 with the NFC area of phone. d) The HBS-800 will connect to the NFC and Bluetooth enabled phone automatically. 2) Connect & disconnect Touch HBS-800 to connect or disconnect with NFC and Bluetooth activated phone. Touch the NFC area of the HBS-800 and phone to disconnect/connect. How to Use ANC - Ambient Noise Cancelling ENG Ambient Noise Cancelling is new technology that reduces ambient noise in a noisy environment. It provides a better listening experience to you. 1) Performance Ambient Noise Cancelling reduces more than 95% of ambient noise on buses, trains, and airplanes. Its effect may depend on the noisy environment. 2) Activating / deactivating a) Slide the ANC switch to the âONâ position. b) The LED indicator will show a solid violet light and you will hear â ANC Onâ. c) Slide the ANC switch to the âOFFâ position to deactivate the Ambient Noise Cancelling feature. You will hear âANC offâ. d) Noise Cancelling available Headset off status. You can see the solid violet lighting but itâs not play Voice Prompt - âANC Onâ and âANC OffâHBS-800 will enter pairing mode. Status Power on Power off ANC On LED Indicator Voice Prompt Violet âANC Onâ Violet ANC Off LED Indicator Voice Prompt Blue âANC Offâ 3) Precautions when using Ambient Noise Cancelling a) The Ambient Noise Cancelling feature optimizes noisy environments, such as buses, trains, and airplanes. There is no need to use this feature in a quiet environment. b) Be extra cautious while walking, bicycling, or driving. You may not hear warning signals or alarms. c) The ANC performance might vary depending on how the headset is placed into the ear. How to Use Advanced Multipoint The HBS-800 is capable of having two devices connected to the headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of using call waiting between calls on both of your connected phones. ENG Multi-connection Connection 1. Pair the headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled phones. (per the pairing instructions on page 6). 2. Turn the headset off and use the Manual Pairing method as described on page 5 to enter Pairing Mode. 3. Now, pair and connect the headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled phone. (this will be your primary phone). 4. Once this phone is paired and connected, go back and connect the originally paired phone to the headset. This will now be your secondary phone. * NOTE: When the HBS-800 is connected to two phones at the same time(Multipoint), the headset calling functions will work with the primary phone. * NOTE: In case of failure to connect to the primary phone through Easy Pairing, HBS-800 will enter pairing mode. Calling Function - Voice Dialing and Last Number Redial features work with the primary phone (or phone which made the last outgoing call). Call Waiting - While speaking on an active call, press and hold the CALL button for 1 second to switch to an incoming call. - To switch between 2 active calls, press and hold the CALL button for 1 second. %' _;< '$ - If both phones are receiving an incoming call, the headset will default to the primary device. How to Use Auto Reconnect ENG - If the HBS-800 is turned off (either accidentally or intentionally) while connected to a phone, the headset and phone will disconnect. The phone and phone will automatically reconnect when the HBS-800 is turned back on while in range. - The secondary phone will need to be connected manually. Select âLG HBS-800â from the list of devices in the Bluetooth menu and pair. Out of Range - If the paired devices are separated by a range of 33 feet (10 meters) or more, the headset and phone will disconnect and the HBS800 will vibrate to alert you. - If the headset and phone do not automatically reconnect when they are back within ' ` * _;< ''K&Q%[ manually. - While in multi-connection and streaming, the inactive paired device, which is out of range, will be disconnected. The HBS-800 will alert you once with no attempt to reconnect. Audio Streaming Controls Play %& _;< '"{|"}Q|QJ"&$ Pause %~' < ; * _;< '"{|"}Q|QJ"$ Stop - While playing music, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/STOP button for 1 second. Next song %& _;< ' $ Previous song %& _;< '~>Â@$ Fast Forward - Press and hold the Fast Forward button. Rewind - Press and hold the REWIND button. Equalizer - While playing music, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons simultaneously for 1 second to switch between EQâs (Bass Boost(Default) J Normal J Treble Boost). - The bass coming from the speakers can vary as a result of the size of the earbud that is being used. ENG How to Use aptXÂŽ - The HBS-800 features aptXÂŽ technology that ensures audio content transmitted over Bluetooth is instant and crystal-clear. - aptXÂŽ is automatically enabled as long as the source device supports it. Volume Control - Press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the speaker volume. - There are eight levels of speaker volume in Hands-Free mode. - There are eight levels of speaker volume in Audio Streaming mode. Calling Answering a Call - When there is an incoming call, the headset will ring and vibrate. %& _;< 'J}!@J~Â<? $ %& _;< ' ' $ Transferring a Call - If you make a call from the phone, the call will (depending on the phone settings) automatically transfer to the headset. If the call is not automatically transferred, you can manually transfer the call to, or from, the headset by pressing and holding VOLUME UP button for 3 seconds on the HBS-800 (phone and headset must be paired). Voice Dialing %& _;< ' ?  Â$ * record the voice dialing tag through your headset. NOTE: If your phone does not support voice dialing, this action may activate Last Number Redial. Last Number Redial - Press and hold the CALL button for 1 second to activate âLast Number Redialâ. The headset will beep and then call the last number dialed. How to Use ENG Ending a Call %& _;< '$ Call Waiting % '' <'# ;< ' ' CALL button for 1 second. Press and hold the CALL button for 1 second to return to the original call. %& _;< ' ' $ Rejecting a Call - Activate call reject by pressing and holding the CALL button for 1 second when the phone rings. * These functions may only be used if your phone supports them. For further information about using these features, please consult your phoneâs user manual. Mic Mute - Press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons simultaneously for 1 second to mute/unmute the mic during conversation. SMS Reader The HBS-800 Bluetooth headset supports SMS reading on Android TM based devices. Search the Google Play⢠Store for the LG âBT Readerâ application and install on your device to use this function. * The QR code shown below helps you download the LG âBT Readerâ application from the Google Play⢠Store. Radio frequency exposure This BluetoothÂŽ Stereo Headset HBS-800, is a radio transmitter and receiver. When in operation it communicates with a BluetoothÂŽ equipped mobile device ; ? ` ;Â= # (microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz. The output power of the radio transmitter is low. Your BluetoothÂŽ Headset is designed to operate in compliance with the RF exposure guidelines and limits set by national authorities and international health agencies when used any compatible LG Electronics mobile phone. 14 2. Potentially explosive atmosphere Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere. ENG Additional Information 3.Emergency calls IMPORTANT! This BluetoothÂŽ headset and the electronic device connected to the headset operate using radio signals, mobile and landline networks as well as user - programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under all conditions. Therefore you should never rely solely upon any electronic device for essential communications (e.g. medical emergencies). Remember, in order to make or receive calls, the headset and the electronic device connected to the headset must be switched on and in a service area with adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency calls may not be possible on all mobile phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone features are in use. Check with your local service provider. 4. Battery information A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new battery or one that has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced < ;'# $@Â<' ; temperatures, never above +60°C(+140°F) or under -20°C(-4°F). For maximum battery capacity, use the battery at room temperature. If the battery is used in low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be charged in temperatures between +10°C(+50°F) and +45°C (+113°F). For your safety, do not remove the battery incorperated in the product. If you need to replace the battery, take it to the nearest authorised LG Electronics service point or dealer for assistance. 5. Recycling the battery in your BluetoothÂŽ headset The battery in your BluetoothÂŽ Headset must be disposed of properly and should never be placed in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner who removes the battery will dispose of it according to local regulations. 15 Additional Information ENG 16 6. Conditions - The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by the dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented with the product to be repaired or replaced.
