This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the A2DP or Hands-Free Bluetooth1SPĹťMF ENGLISH Safety Cautions ! Qualcomm aptX audio is Bluetooth wireless technology that provides clearer audio for listening to music and watching movies. Qualcomm aptX audio is automatically enabled when a mobile phone or audio device supports it. Battery Charging and Alerts Open the Charging Port cover and connect the charger to the Charging Port. Indicator Lamp Red Purple Blue Battery Status Charging 80% Completed Press and hold the Volume Down Button for 2 seconds to check the battery level using voice prompts and the Indicator Lamp. Battery Status High Medium Low Indicator Lamp Flashes blue Flashes purple Flashes red Putting on the Product 1 Fit the top of the ear hooks on your ears, and insert the earbuds into your ears. ENGLISH 2 Fit the bottom of the ear hooks on your ears, and adjust the ear hooks so they do not move. HBS-S80 Pairing and Connecting If you start the process after putting in your earbuds, you can easily pair and connect following the voice prompts. *GZPVIFBSUIBUUIFCBUUFSZJTJOTVGĹťDJFOU SFDIBSHFUIFCBUUFSZCFGPSF proceeding with pairing. If pairing is not completed within 3 minutes, the power automatically turns off. If the power turned off automatically, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the power on. Connecting Quickly MAKE PHONE VISIBLE Phone Allow other Bluetooth devices to find my phone AVAILABLE DEVICES LG HBSS80 Search for devices 1 Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the power on. 2 The Indicator Lamp will turn blue and the HBS-S80 will switch to Search mode. 3 From the mobile phone or device list, select LG HBSS80 to connect. 4 A voice message will indicate that the connection is completed. 5 Use the same process to pair the HBS-S80 with other devices. ENGLISH Connecting Manually 1 When the power is off, simultaneously press and hold the Power Button and the MFB for 2 seconds to turn the power on. 2 The blue Indicator Lamp turns on and the HBS-S80 switches to Search mode. 3 Select LG HBSS80 from the device list to connect. Multiple Connections The HBS-S80 can be simultaneously connected to a mobile phone and a PC. The HBS-S80 can be connected to an additional device while it is already connected to a device. 1 When the power is off, simultaneously press and hold the Power Button and the MFB for 2 seconds to turn the power on. 2 The Indicator Lamp will turn blue, and the HBS-S80 will switch to Search mode. 3 From the mobile phone or device list, select LG HBSS80 to connect. 4 A voice message will indicate that the connection is completed. This device becomes the âMain Connected Device.â 5 Try to connect to HBS-S80 using a previously connected device. This device becomes the âSub Connected Device.â NOTE: If simultaneously connected to two devices, the device that was connected most recently is the âMain Connected Device.â The main functions work based on the âMain Connected Device.â Automatic Reconnection If you turn on the product, it automatically searches for and connects to the devices (âMain Connected %FWJDFĹBOEĹ4VC$POOFDUFE%FWJDFĹ UPXIJDIJUXBTQSFWJPVTMZDPOOFDUFE *GUIFQSPEVDUDBOOPUĹťOE the device to which it was connected last time, the product switches to Search mode.) If the product does not automatically connect to the device you want, search the device list for the product you want to connect to and connect it manually. Connected to a device 5IF*OEJDBUPS-BNQXJMMĹźBTICMVFPODFFWFSZTFDPOET Call Connected or Playing Music 5IF*OEJDBUPS-BNQXJMMĹźBTICMVFPODFFWFSZTFDPOET Mobile Calling Functions Functions Description Receiving a Call/ Hanging Up Press the MFB. Making a Call If you make a call using a mobile phone, the call is automatically connected to the HBS-S80. Redial Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds to redial the most recent number that you called. Voice Dial Press and hold the MFB for 1 second. Press and hold the Volume Up Button for 2 seconds. Switching Calls Receiving a Call While on the Phone (Every time you press one of these buttons, the call switches to the mobile phone or the HBS-S80.) Press and hold the MFB for 1 second to receive another call while already talking on the phone. 5IFĹťSTUDBMMXJMMCFTXJUDIFEUPDBMMXBJUJOH1SFTTBOEIPMEUIFMFB for 1 second UPSFUVSOUPUIFĹťSTUDBMM Rejecting a Call Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds. Enabling/ Disabling Mute Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up Button and the Volume Down Button for 1 second. CAUTION: Do not disable/enable the mute while driving, as you need to use both hands. NOTE: The Voice Dial and Redial functions work on the Main Connected Device or on the device on which you made the last call. (The Voice Dial and Redial functions may work differently depending on the mobile phone being used.) ENGLISH The Voice Dial and Redial functions are not available while music is being played. Press the MFB to pause the music before using these functions. Playing Music Functions Play Description Press the MFB. Music will play from the activated player of the connected device. Pause Press the MFB while your music is playing. Previous Song Press and hold the Volume Down Button for 1 second. Next Song Press and hold the Volume Up Button for 1 second. Change Equalizer Mode While your music is playing, press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds. The Equalizer Mode will change in the following order: Bass Boost (default) > Normal > Treble Boost. NOTE: To switch to a different music playback device when multiple devices are connected, stop any music playing and play music from the device of your choice. Out of Range If the device connected to the product is out of effective communication range (33 feet/10 meters), the communication signal becomes weak and the communication is lost. If the device comes back within effective communication range, the product automatically reconnects to the device. If the device is not automatically reconnected, press the MFB on the product to connect to it manually. If a device not in use moves out of range when multiple devices are connected, a voice prompt will be generated. In this case, the automatic reconnection function is not supported. Voice Dialing (must be supported on mobile device) Idle Press and hold the MFB for 1 second. Rejecting a Call Ringing Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds. Enabling/Disabling Mute Talking Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down Buttons for 1 second. Pairing Mode (manual) Power off Simultaneously press and hold the MFB and the Power Button for 2 seconds. Press and hold the Volume Down Button for 2 seconds. Battery Status Check Idle Play Power on #SJFĹźZQSFTTUIFMFB. Pause Music on #SJFĹźZQSFTTUIFMFB. Next Song Music on Press and hold the Volume Up Button for 1 second. Previous Song Music on Press and hold the Volume Down Button for 1 second. Equalizer Settings Music on Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds. Troubleshooting Solutions The power does not turn on Check the battery level and charge it. Cannot make a call with the HBS-S80 ENGLISH Problems If the mobile phone does not support headset and hands-free functions, you cannot use the calling features. Check the battery level and charge it. Check whether the HBS-S80 is turned on. Cannot register the HBS-S80 to the mobile phone Check whether the HBS-S80 is in Search mode. The sound is low Control the sound level of the device connected to the HBS-S80. - While the power is off, Simultaneously press and hold the Power Button and MFB for 2 seconds to turn the power on. Battery information A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly.
