The LG TONE FREE (HBS-F110) is a lightweight wireless headset that uses Bluetooth technology.

This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the A2DP or

Hands-Free Bluetooth prole.

*HBS-F110 is equipped with medium-sized ear gels.

Make sure authentic LG Electronics components are used. Using a non-authentic component

Do not disassemble, adjust, or repair the product arbitrarily.

Do not place the product near excessive heat or ammable material.

Do not arbitrarily replace the battery, as it may explode.

The product may be damaged if an incompatible recharger is used.

Make sure that an infant or a child does not swallow a magnet or a small component of the product.

Make sure that foreign objects do not enter the charger’s connectors (charging port and power plug).

Failure to do so may result in re or electric shock.

If you have a medical device implanted, contact your doctor before using this device.

For your safety, do not remove the battery installed in the product.

The lithium-ion polymer battery and the lithium-ion battery are hazardous components that can

cause injury.

Battery replacement by an unqualied professional can cause damage to your device.

Do not let charging terminals touch metal objects. Doing so may result in malfunction.

In order to prevent unnecessary energy consumption, disconnect the device when fully charged.

Always use an easily accessible power-outlet for charging your device.

Do not apply excessive force to, make holes in, or drop the product from a high place.

Keep the product away from water, alcohol, benzene, etc.

Do not store the product in a wet or a dusty place.

This product is not waterproof. Avoid humidity and water.

Precautions When Using the Product

To use the product for a long time, please refer to the following:



Plug the earbuds into the neckband or cradle for storage so that they

will not be lost.

Clean the product if it is exposed to excessive sweat.

Always keep the earbuds clean.

For your safety, do not wear neckband products while they are being

charged.

The cradle / neckband battery can be discharged if the earbuds are

plugged into the cradle / neckband for a long period of time.

Press the MFB on the earbuds to turn on the earbuds for use if the

cradle / neckband battery is discharged.

If the communication network of the device you are connecting to supports “HD Voice Calling,”

you can make voice calls in high denition.

Product Description

Neckband

The power switch of the neckband turns the power of the earbuds on or off.

For example, if the earbuds are plugged into the neckband while its power is OFF, the power of

the earbuds is turned off.

The earbuds are charged regardless of whether the neckband power is on or off.

Using Earbuds

1 Press the PUSH Button on the neckband to separate the earbuds, and then wear them.

NOTE: Check the right/left indications on the earbuds, then make sure the MFB is facing

downwards and place the earbuds in your ears.

2 The earbuds are automatically fastened if you plug them into the neckband after use.

HBS-F110 Pairing and Connecting

You can register/connect HBS-F110 using one of the following methods:

If you hear that the battery is insufcient, recharge the battery before proceeding.

If pairing is not completed within three minutes, power automatically turns off.

If the power turned off automatically, plug the earbuds into the neckband or cradle and then remove

them to turn the earbuds on.

Installing LG Tone & Talk™

Installing The LG Tone & Talk app allows you to access

features such as voice alerts and earbud battery checking.

To install LG Tone & Talk, download “LG Tone & Talk” from

the Google Play™ store or the App Store® or use the

QR code to install LG Tone & Talk. Google Play App Store

Simple connection 1



1 Turn on the power of the neckband while the earbuds are plugged into the neckband.

2 The left Indicator lamp of the earbuds is lighted, and the status is automatically switched to

Connection mode.

4 Select LG HBSF110 Master in the

menu to connect the device.

5 The neckband vibrates when the connection is completed.

The voice prompt will help you in registration and connection if you proceed with connection after

wearing the earbuds.

Note for Using Earbuds

1 The main (left) and sub (right) earbuds are automatically connected.

2 The connection between the earbuds is automatically cut if the device connected to the main

earbud is disconnected.

3 Refer to “HBS-F110 Pairing and Connecting” if the main earbud is disconnected.

4 If the sub earbud does not operate,

- check the battery charging status, or

if the battery is sufciently charged, connect the earbuds again by referring to

“HBS-F110

Pairing and Connecting.”

5 If the earbuds have been properly plugged into the Neckband/Cradle, the earbuds’ white

Indicator Lamp will ash.

6 Contact an LG Electronics Service Center if you lost an earbud.

Automatic Reconnection

If the earbuds are separated from the neckband or cradle, power is turned on, with the last connected

device automatically connected. (If a connected device is not found, it switches to Search mode.)

If the device is not automatically connected, manually connect using LG HBSF110 Master in the

device to be connected.

Power on The white Indicator lamp will ash four times.

Search Mode The white Indicator lamp is lighted.

When plugged into the

Neckband/Cradle The white Indicator Lamp ashes two times.

Mobile Calling Functions

Only the left earbud operates during a voice call.

The neckband vibrates when there is an incoming call if the earbuds are plugged into the neckband.

(If the neckband is low on battery, it may not vibrate when a call is received.)

Function Status Description

Answering Call Ringing Briey press the MFB.

Ending a call Talking Briey press the MFB.

Rejecting a call Ringing Press and hold the MFB for two seconds, and then release.*

Voice dial Standby mode Press and hold the MFB for two seconds, and then release.*

Switching Calls Talking

If you plug the earbuds into the neckband during a phone

call, the call will switch to your mobile phone. If you remove

the earbuds again, the call will switch to the earbuds.

*A sound alert will be generated if you press and hold the MFB for two seconds.

NOTE: You cannot adjust the volume on HBS-F110. Adjust in-call volume from the device connected

to HBS-F110. The function of answering another incoming call during a call is not supported.

Playing Music

Function Status Description

Playing Music Standby mode Briey press the MFB.

Pause Music in play

Briey press the MFB.

If you plug the earbuds into the neckband while music

is playing, the music will stop. Press the MFB again

to play music.

Play Next Song Music in play Briey press the MFB twice.

Equalizer Mode Change Music in play Change EQ using LG Tone & Talk.

NOTE: Use the music player app in the connected device to play the previous or next music le or

other play-related functions.

You can adjust the volume from the LG Tone & Talk app connected to HBS-F110.

To prevent hearing loss, a control sound is played twice or at length when controlling the

volume at high volumes.

Battery Charging and Alerts

You can charge the earbuds and the neckband/cradle as follows:

NOTE: The main (left) earbud can be discharged faster than the sub (right) earbud.

The earbuds and the neckband/cradle may not be charged if there are foreign substances on

the charging terminal.

The earbud Indicator lamp turns on during charging and turns off once complete.

Single Charging

The earbuds can be plugged into the neckband or cradle for charging.



NOTE: If the neckband’s power is on, the earbud charging Indicator Lamp does not turn on.

Charging Simultaneously

You can charge the earbuds and the neckband/cradle together as shown below.

NOTE: The charging speed can decrease because of low current when you charge the neckband

cradle by connecting it to a PC.

The cradle case may open while connecting the charger. Fix the top of the cradle in place

before connecting.



NOTE: To properly plug the earbuds into the cradle, make sure you hear a “click” as you press

on the top of the earbuds.

Charging/Battery Status Indication and Alert

The charging status is indicated when the charger is connected to the Charging port of the

neckband/cradle.

Battery Status Charging Completed

If the earbud battery level is 5% or lower, you will hear a voice alert that

the battery is low. You can check the battery level in LG Tone & Talk.

The red indicator lamp will blink if the neckband is low on battery.

Voice Commands

You can say “Answer” or “Ignore” to answer or reject an incoming call.

The voice command function can be turned on or off from LG Tone & Talk.

Out of Communication Range

If the device connected to HBS-F110 is out of effective communication range (approximately 10 meters),

the communication signal will weaken, causing disconnection. If the device comes back within the effective

communication range, the product will automatically reconnect to HBS-F110.

If the device is not automatically reconnected, press the MFB on HBS-F110 to connect manually.

Using LG Tone & Talk™

Function Button and Description

Voice Notication

You can set the voice notication to ON/OFF in Notication Setting.

The function reads the text in the SMS, MMS, and SNS message through the

earbuds.

Vibration Notication

You can set the vibration notication to ON/OFF in Notication Setting.

The neckband vibrates when a new message is received if the earbuds are

plugged into the neckband.

Equalizer Mode Change You can change the equalizer mode in the EQ menu:

Bass (default), Normal (general), Treble (emphasis on high notes).

Earbud Battery

Checking You can check the battery level of both earbuds via the app screen.

Changing the Voice

Prompt Language You can change the language of voice prompt in Headset Setting.

Changing Voice

Command Setting You can set the voice notication to ON/OFF in Headset Setting.

Last location of

connection information

The last connection position to headset is recorded in the map using GPS in

the mobile phone.

The GPS (location data) function must be activated in the connected device,

and there can be a position error according to the GPS performance.

Caller ID Notication

Android™ : Set caller ID notication to ON in the headset settings to receive

caller ID information via voice prompts from your earbuds.

iOS: This feature is supported on iOS v. 10.0 or above if set up in Settings >

Phone > Announce Calls.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

Power is not turned on Check the battery level and charge it.

Cannot make a call with the

HBS-F110

If the mobile phone does not support the headset and hands-free

function, you cannot use the calling features. Check the battery level

and charge it.

HBS-F110 is not registered

in the mobile phone

Check whether HBS-F110 is turned on.

Check if the left main earbud of HBS-F110 is in Search mode.

Press and hold the MFB in the left main earbud for ve seconds to switch

the earbuds to Connection mode.

The sound is low Adjust the volume of the device connected to HBS-F110 or check the

headset volume in the Tone & Talk app.

Sub earbud is not operable

Check the battery charging status.

If the battery is sufciently charged, connect the earbuds again by

referring to “HBS-F110 Pairing and Connecting.”

When the earbuds have

been disconnected from

each other

Plug both earbuds into the cradle or neckband, and then remove

them again.

When in operation, it communicates with a

-equipped mobile device by receiving and

transmitting radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic elds (microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4

to 2.4835 GHz. Your

headset is designed to operate in compliance with the RF exposure

guidelines and limits set by national authorities and international health agencies when used with

any compatible LG Electronics mobile phone.

Connection Precautions

The following environments affect the range and reception of

signals:

- When walls, metal, human bodies, or other obstacles exist between the

the connected device.

- When equipment that uses 2.4 GHz frequency signals (wireless LANs, wireless phones, microwave

ovens, etc.) is placed near the devices being used.

3. Potentially explosive atmosphere

Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere. Although

this is uncommon, your electronic device could generate sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause

an explosion or re resulting in bodily injury or even death. Areas with a potentially explosive

atmosphere are often but not always clearly marked.

4. Emergency calls

IMPORTANT!

This

headset and the electronic device connected to the headset operate using radio

signals and mobile and landline networks as well as user-programmed functions, which cannot

guarantee connection under all conditions. Therefore, you should never rely solely upon any

electronic device for essential communications (e.g., medical emergencies). Remember, in order

to make or receive calls, the headset and the electronic device connected to the headset must be

switched on and in a service area with adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency calls may not

be possible on all mobile phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone features

are in use. Check with your local service provider.

5. Battery information

A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new battery or one that has not

been used for a long period of time could have reduced capacity the rst few times it is used.

Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, never above +50°C (+122°F) or below

-10°C (+14°F). For maximum battery capacity, use the battery at room temperature. If the battery

is used in low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be charged

in temperatures between +10°C (+50°F) and +45°C (+113°F).

6. Recycling the battery in your

Bluetooth

headset

The battery in your

Bluetooth

headset must be disposed of properly and should never be placed

in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner that removes the battery will dispose of it

according to local regulations.

7. Conditions

- The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by the dealer,

specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented with the product to be repaired or

replaced. LG Electronics reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been

removed or changed after the original purchase of the product from the dealer.

- If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replaced product shall be

warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period or for ninety (90) days from

the date of repair, whichever is longer. Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally

equivalent reconditioned units. Replaced parts or components will become the property of

LG Electronics.

- This warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and tear, or due to

misuse, including but not limited to use in other than the normal and customary manner, in

accordance with instructions for use and maintenance of the product. Nor does this warranty

cover any failure of the product due to accident, modication or adjustment, acts of God, or

damage resulting from liquid.

- This warranty does not cover product failures due to improper repair installations, modications,

Important Safety Information

Avoiding hearing damage

Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your headset at a high volume.

Set the volume to a safe level. Over time you can become accustomed to a higher volume that may

sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing.

If you experience ringing in your ears or mufed speech, stop listening and have your hearing

checked. The louder the volume, the less time that is required before your hearing could be affected.

Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing:

• Limit the amount of time you use the headset at high volume.

• Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.

• Turn the volume down if you can’t hear people speaking near you.

Using headsets safely

Use of headsets to listen to music while operating a vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in

some areas. Be careful and attentive while driving. Stop using this device if you nd it disruptive or

distracting while operating any type of vehicle or performing any other activity that requires your

full attention.

La batería del accesorio para el cuello o la base se pueden descargar si

los auriculares permanecen conectados por un largo período.

presione el MFB en los auriculares para encenderlos y utilizarlos.

El interruptor de encendido del accesorio para el cuello enciende y apaga los auriculares.

Por ejemplo, si se conectan los auriculares al accesorio para el cuello mientras están encendidos,

estos se apagaran.

Los auriculares se cargan independientemente de que el accesorio para el cuello esté encendido

o apagado.

Uso de los auriculares

1 Presione el botón PUSH (PRESIONAR) en el accesorio para el cuello para separar los auriculares

y luego utilizarlos.

NOTA: Verifique las marcas de derecha e izquierda en los auriculares, luego asegúrese de que el

MFB esté orientado hacia abajo y coloque los auriculares en sus oídos.

2 Para ajustar los auriculares automáticamente, conéctelos en el accesorio para el cuello después

de usarlos.

Emparejamiento y conexión del HBS-F110

Para registrar o conectar el HBS-F110, utilice uno de los siguientes métodos:

Si oye que el nivel de batería es insuficiente, cargue la batería antes de continuar con el emparejamiento.

Si el emparejamiento no se completa dentro de tres minutos, el producto se apagará automáticamente.

Si se apaga automáticamente, conecte los auriculares al accesorio para el cuello o a la base y quítelos

para encender los auriculares.

Instalación de LG Tone & Talk

Si instala la aplicación LG Tone & Talk, podrá acceder

a funciones, como avisos de voz y comprobación de la

batería del auricular.

Información sobre el uso de auriculares

1 El auricular principal (izquierdo) y el secundario (derecho) se conectan automáticamente.

2 Si el dispositivo conectado al auricular principal se desconecta, la conexión entre los auriculares

3 Si se desconecta el auricular principal, consulte “Emparejamiento y conexión del HBS-F110” .

4 Si el auricular secundario no funciona,

- compruebe el estado de carga de la batería o

si la batería tiene carga suficiente, vuelva a conectar los auriculares según lo descrito en

“Emparejamiento y conexión del HBS-F110”

5 Si los auriculares se han conectado correctamente en la base o el accesorio para el cuello, se

encenderá su luz indicadora blanca.

6 Si perdió un auricular, comuníquese con el Centro de servicio de LG Electronics.

Reconexión automática

Si los auriculares se separan del accesorio para el cuello o de la base, estos se encienden y se

conectan automáticamente al último dispositivo al que estuvieron conectados.

(Si un dispositivo conectado no se encuentra, cambia al modo Búsqueda).

Si el dispositivo no se conecta automáticamente, conéctelo de forma manual a través de

LG HBSF110 Master.

Durante una llamada de voz, solamente funciona el auricular izquierdo.

Si los auriculares están conectados al accesorio para el cuello durante una llamada entrante, el

accesorio para el cuello vibrará.

(Si le queda poca carga al accesorio para el cuello, es posible que no vibre cuando reciba llamadas.)

Podrá cargar los auriculares y el accesorio para el cuello o la base de la siguiente forma:

NOTA: El auricular principal (izquierdo) puede descargarse más rápido que el secundario (derecho).

Es posible que no pueda cargar los auriculares y el accesorio para el cuello o la base si hay

sustancias externas en el terminal de carga.

La luz indicadora del auricular se enciende durante la carga y se apaga cuando está cargado.

Para cargar los auriculares, conéctelos al accesorio para el cuello o en la base.



NOTA: Si el accesorio para el cuello está encendido, no se encenderá la luz indicadora de carga

del auricular.

Podrá cargar los auriculares junto con el accesorio para el cuello o la base como se muestra a

continuación.

NOTA: La velocidad de carga podrá disminuir debido a una corriente baja que se produce si carga el

La carcasa de la base puede abrirse mientras conecta el cargador.

Ajuste la parte superior de la base antes de la conexión.

Indicación y alerta de estado de carga o de la batería

El estado de carga se indicará cuando el cargador esté conectado al puerto de carga del accesorio

Si el nivel de batería del auricular es de 5% o menos, escuchará una voz

de alerta de batería baja. Compruebe el nivel de batería en LG Tone & Talk.

Puede decir “Responder” o “Ignorar” para responder o rechazar una llamada entrante.

La función de comando de voz se puede activar o desactivar desde LG Tone & Talk.

Rango fuera de comunicación

Si el dispositivo conectado al HBS-F110 está fuera del rango de comunicación efectiva

(aproximadamente 10metros), la señal de comunicación se debilitará y desconectará. Si el

dispositivo vuelve a estar dentro del rango de comunicación efectiva, el producto se volverá a

conectar automáticamente al HBS-F110.

Si el dispositivo no se vuelve a conectar automáticamente, presione el MFB en el HBS-F110 para

conectarse de forma manual.

Uso de LG Tone & Talk

Las baterías recargables tienen una vida útil prolongada si reciben el tratamiento adecuado. Las baterías

nuevas o que no se hayan utilizado por mucho tiempo podrían tener una capacidad reducida las primeras

veces que se utilizan. No exponga la batería a temperaturas extremas, superiores a + 50 °C (+ 122 °F)

o inferiores a - 10 °C (+ 14 °F). Para obtener la máxima capacidad de la batería, úsela a temperatura

ambiente. Si se utiliza la batería en condiciones de temperaturas bajas, la capacidad se verá reducida.

La batería solo puede cargarse a temperaturas entre + 10 °C (+ 50 °F) y + 45 °C (+ 113 °F).

arrojarse al basurero municipal. Los encargados del servicio técnico de LG Electronics que extraigan

baterías las desecharán de acuerdo con las reglamentaciones locales.

7. Condiciones

- La garantía tiene validez únicamente si, junto con el producto que se va a reparar o reemplazar,

se presenta la factura original que el distribuidor le emitió al comprador original. LG Electronics

se reserva el derecho de denegar el servicio de garantía si no se presenta dicha información o si

hubiera habido modicaciones luego de la compra original del producto al distribuidor.

- Si LG Electronics repara o reemplaza el producto, el plazo de garantía del producto reemplazado

o reparado equivaldrá al tiempo restante del plazo de la garantía original o noventa (90) días a

partir de la fecha de reparación, el período que sea mayor. La reparación o el reemplazo podrían

implicar el uso de unidades reacondicionadas con funciones equivalentes. Los componentes o las

piezas reemplazadas pasarán a ser propiedad de LG Electronics.

- La presente garantía no cubre fallas por desgaste natural ni uso indebido, entre otros casos,

usos fuera de lo normal y habitual, conforme a las instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento del

producto. La cobertura tampoco abarca fallas del producto que se deban a accidentes,

modicaciones o ajustes, caso fortuito o daño producido por algún líquido.

- La garantía no cubre fallas del producto a causa de instalaciones, reparaciones o modicaciones

incorrectas llevadas a cabo por personas que no estén autorizadas por LG Electronics. Todo indicio

de manipulación en cualquiera de los sellos del producto anulará la garantía.

NO EXISTEN GARANTÍAS EXPRESAS, NI ORALES NI ESCRITAS, SALVO LAS QUE CONSTAN EN

Evitar daños auditivos

Si utiliza el auricular con un nivel de volumen alto, podría sufrir hipoacusia permanente.

Congure el volumen en un nivel inocuo. Con el tiempo, podría acostumbrarse a un volumen de

sonido más alto que podría parecer normal, pero que podría dañar su capacidad auditiva.

Si le zumban los oídos o siente que los sonidos le llegan medio apagados, no utilice el dispositivo y

consulte a un médico. Cuanto más alto sea el volumen, más rápido podría verse afectada su audición.

Los expertos en audición sugieren que, para proteger la audición, se debe:

• Limitar el tiempo de uso del auricular a volumen alto.

• Evitar subir el volumen para contrarrestar el exceso de ruido ambiental.

• Bajar el volumen si no oye a la gente que habla cerca de usted.
