The scope of the warranty is based on the contents of the contract concluded. The warranty terms of your Leica sales organization or the organization from which you have purchased the contractual product shall apply exclusively. Service information If you are in need of technical customer support or spare parts, please contact your Leica representative or the Leica dealer where you purchased the instrument. The following information about the instrument is required: • • • • Model name and serial number of the instrument. Location of the instrument and name of a contact person. Reason for the service call. The delivery date of the instrument. HistoCore SPECTRA CV 161 11 Decommissioning and Disposal 11. Decommissioning and Disposal Warning The instrument or parts of the instrument must be disposed of according to existing applicable, local regulations. All objects contaminated with spilled reagents must be disinfected immediately with a suitable disinfectant to prevent spreading to other areas of the lab or to lab personnel. Please refer to the Chapter (→ P. 109 – 7. Cleaning and Maintenance) and the Chapter Decontamination Certificate (→ P. 163 – 12. Decontamination Certificate) at the end of these Instructions for Use for notes on cleaning the HistoCore SPECTRA CV coverslipper. The instrument can be contaminated when using biohazardous specimens. Thorough disinfecting is required before re-commissioning or disposal (e.g. multiple cleaning steps, disinfection or sterilization). Dispose of the instrument in compliance with the applicable laboratory specifications. Contact your Leica representative for more information. 162 Version 1.2, Revision A Decontamination Certificate 12. 12 Decontamination Certificate Any product that is to be returned to Leica Biosystems or serviced on site must be properly cleaned and decontaminated. The associated decontamination certificate template can be found on our website www.LeicaBiosystems.com in the product menu. This template must be used to enter all required data. If a product is returned, a copy of the completed and signed decontamination certificate must either be enclosed or handed over to a service technician. The user shall be responsible for products that are returned without a completed decontamination certificate or with a missing decontamination certificate. Return shipments that are classified by the company as a potential hazard source will be returned to the sender at his/her own expense and risk.
