SOLUTION

SECURIGUARDTM Stops Krazy Glue & Bump Keys
SecuriguardTM has a sliding shield that covers the cylinder. Prevents vandalism by Krazy
Glue and “Bump Keys” cannot be used.
The shield is raised and lowered via a special magnetic key.
When the shield is up, the key can be used. When the shield is down, the cylinder is
100% concealed.

SECURIGUARDTM Key Info
There are millions of SecuriguardTM key combinations. Additional keys can be ordered and SecuriguardTM can be ordered to
work with the same magnetic key. Regular magnets cannot open the SecuriguardTM.

OPERATION:
The SECURIGUARDTM shield is raised by
the magnetic key. The lock key may then
be inserted and used.
The shield will remain open until lowered
by use of the magnetic key.
KEY LOCK-OUT FUNCTION:
This function is used to lock-out keys and restrict access to the
cylinder, in addition to cylinder protection.
Typically, a manager will raise the shield at the start of the day.
Regular keys can then be used to operate the lock. At the end
of the day, the manager uses the magnetic key to lower the
shield.
KEY COMBINATIONS:
SECURIGUARDTM is available keyed different or keyed alike to
a new or existing combination.
AVAILABLE FINISHES:
JB = Jet Black Finish.
AL = Aluminum Finish (clear).
ADDITIONAL KEYS:
SECURIGUARDTM keys can be ordered
from the factory to match code numbers.
Keys are stamped with code numbers.
Codes may be registered to prevent
ordering by unauthorized individuals.
NOTE: SPECIAL CYLINDER CAPS:
Some cylinders use special caps over the face of the cylinder
for different finishes. Certain caps add too much to the diameter
of the cylinder and need to be removed prior to insertion in the
Securiguard. This does not affect the cylinder operation.

How Does It Work?
ELECTROLATCH™ operates as if it were a mechanical lockset. Depress the
interior lever to exit. To enter, use the key to release the exterior lever
momentarily. An access control system or intercom would energize the
solenoid and allow entry by depressing the lever.
The electric release solenoid is within the trim, not the strike plate, for maximum
vandal-resistance and durability.

Access control systems can be complicated
to program and turn on and off. Frequently a computer
is needed to change status, time zones, etc. The cutoff switch feature allows a clockwise rotation of the
key to toggle the access control system on or off. The
supervisor does not need to have any programming
skills to turn the system off for a defined period (after
hours, weekend, etc) or turn it back on.

Securitech offers a heavy-duty deadlatch to work
with each trim style. Positive deadlatching with a 3/
4” bolt projection is available for narrow, medium or
wide-stile aluminum doors, as well as hollow metal
or wood doors and iron gates.

Securitech control trim (UG, GG or LR styles) is available without a
mortise lock body. This would be used where a lock body from a
different manufacturer is used throughout the project and uniformity is
desired.
The lock body should be passage function, or, for greater security, a
storeroom function lock body where the exterior hub is free moving
(locking is done in trim set, not lock body). Contact Securitech for details
when ordering. Use “XML” designation for mortise lock by others.

Benefits of Multi-Point Locking

The typical break-in occurs when a burglar tries to pry the door from the frame at
the lock area. Multi-point locking defeats this method by protecting the door like a
bank vault. Use this retrofit or new construction solution on stock rooms, computer
rooms, safe rooms, utility closets, firearms storage rooms, remote buildings and
other non emergency doors.

Operators

The MP&O is mounted to the back of the
LEXITM Control Trim. This is bolted through
the door to the exit device allowing the trim
and device to work simultaneously.
