Caution:
Driving
Use of any electronic and/or communication device while driving can be distracting
and dangerous. Drivers should exercise caution and devote full attention to operating
their vehicles at all times. State and local laws and regulations may limit or prohibit
use of Product while driving. Users should consult applicable laws and regulations to
ensure full compliance.
Phones with wireless charging
If your phone uses wireless (inductive) charging, such as Qi or similar, be careful
where you place the metal adapter. If placed near the charging coil, the metal adapter
may heat up and pose a safety issue. The metal adapter should be placed away from
the charging coil, never between the charger and the phone.
Tips
Improve the text to speech quality
Download Google TTS
from the Play Store for the best interactivity. Samsung TTS can
sometimes be more sluggish.
To text someone not in my text history
In the current app build, you can only text contacts in your SMS message history, call
history and favorites list. Please be sure the contact you are trying to message
For users of the following phones:
○ Nexus 6 (phone should be centered on the mount)
○ HTC One M8 (toggle Dot View in Settings to disable sleep)
○ Samsung S4 (mount should be positioned towards bottom of phone)
○ Droid Turbo
Some Android phones have a magnetic sensor for use with flipcover accessories. The
magnet in the mount may activate this switch but it is not harmful.
We recommend repositioning the metal adapter and the mount closer to the top or
bottom of the phone or switching off this accessory cover sensor in your settings.
Install App
Android smartphone requirements
● Android 4.4 or higher (KitKat, or Lollipop)
● Bluetooth 4.0 support
Installation steps
1. Enable installation of Apps from Unknown Sources
○ Go to your phone's Settings > Security menu
○ Under "Device administration" section, enable "Unknown sources"
2. On your phone, open a browser and download the file.
3. Click on "Install" to begin installation

First Time Setup
1. Install one of the metal adapters:
a. Round adapter goes between your phone and case, or under your phone’s
battery cover
b. Pillshaped adapter adheres directly to the back of your phone (for use without
a case). It’s best to clean the phone surface first, then apply the adapter and
hold for 15 seconds.
2. Install the mount onto your car air vent within comfortable reach. If the mount is difficult
to insert, try gently rocking it from side to side as you slide it onto the air vent slat. We
recommend using the same gentle sidetoside rocking motion when removing the
mount from your air vent.
3. Download and install the latest build of the app. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your
phone. Open the app, which should begin the setup process.
That’s it!
Whenever your phone is docked on the mount, the app will offer to read your incoming
text messages aloud and let you respond.
You can initiate a text, make a call, share your location, or listen to unheard messages
by waking the app (hover your hand near the top of the screen) and speaking the
respective voice command.
Abort or cancel at any time by using the hover hand gesture near the top of the phone
screen, or say “cancel” after any beep.
How do I….
Wake up the app?
Hover your palm near the top of the phone screen (within about 1” distance).
Your phone must be docked on the mount with Bluetooth enabled for the app to be
wakeable.
Call someone?
Say “Call” or “Call John” after waking the app to place a speakerphone call.
You can also call someone after hearing their message. When asked if you want to
reply, just say “call.”
Share my location?
Say “Share my location” or “Share my location with John” after waking the app to send
a Glympse link with your realtime location. The sharing will end automatically, shortly
after you undock your phone.
You can also reply to someone’s message with your location. When asked for your
reply, just say “share my location.”
Listen to a dismissed message?
Use the hover gesture to wake the app, then say “Listen to messages.”
Insert punctuation into a message?
Say the name of the punctuation mark. The app supports: . , ? !
For example, saying: “When is dinner question mark” types “When is dinner?”
Send an emoticon?
Say the name of the emoticon as part of your message.
For example, saying: “On my way smily face” types “On my way :)”
