After entering the password it will take approximately 30 seconds to finish the setup. After 30 seconds, check the Status LED on the wireless range extender. If it is solid green, the wireless range extender has been successfully installed and is now working. If it is flashing blue/green there was a problem with the setup process, most likely the password was not entered correctly or the wrong wireless router was selected. Reset/ Factory Default the wireless range extender again and re-install. Parameter: Default Value Default IP address: 192.168.0.11 Default user name: admin Default password: admin Connect a Client Device The XVW-P30 is now configured and extending your wireless network. Connecting a Client Device Connecting a Wireless Client Device: Connect the client device to the SSID used to configured the XVW-P30. This will require the passphrase used when configuring the XVW-P30. Connecting an Ethernet Only Device: Simply set the IP Address to be obtained through DHCP and connect the device to LAN1 or LAN2 WARNINGS AND SAFETY INFORMATION Verify that the electrical circuits have appropriate grounding and overload protection. Verify there is adequate ventilation around the device, and that ambient temperatures meet equipment operation specifications. The XVW-P30 is designed for indoor use only. DO NOT place this outdoors. DO NOT install in or near hot or humid places, such as a kitchen or bathroom. Take care to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture. Small parts and plastic bags used for packaging may be harmful to small children. KEEP All ACCESSORIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN! 10 The XVW-P30 may become hot when in use for extended time periods. This is normal and is not a malfunction. DO NOT install where it will be exposed to paper, cloth or other flammable materials. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE The device complies with internationally recognized standards covering human exposure to electromagnetic fields from radio devices. This equipment also complies with FCC radiation exposure set forth for an uncontrolled environment. In order to avoid the possibility of exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, human proximity to the antenna shall not be less than 20 cm (8 inches) during normal operation. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could cause damage and may violate regulatory approvals. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the authority to operate the equipment. Equipment version marketed in the U.S. is restricted to usage of channels 1-11 only. RF Exposure Guidelines Safety Information: The device complies with internationally recognized standards covering human exposure to electromagnetic fields from radio devices. Warning: Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Radiation: The radiated output of this device is below the FCC radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, the device should be used in such a manner that the potential for human contact during normal operation is minimized. The end user must avoid any extended human RF exposure directly in front of the device, up to a distance of 20cm, when unit is on. When servicing the equipment and selecting a location for the antennas, it is important to note that a minimum distance of 20cm is required between personnel and the device or antenna to comply with the radio frequency exposure limit. The XVW-P30 can be simply plugged in to an available power outlet and configured to extend the wireless network in the environment. The XVW-P30 is omni-directional and will need to be placed where it will extend best in the desired coverage area. Check password or status of wireless router/AP The power is on View of the XVW-P30 Bottom and Right Ports and LEDs Luxul’s XVW-P30 Wireless 300N Range Extender expands the reach of an existing wireless network—providing Wi-Fi coverage to those hard to reach dead spots. Designed to plug discreetly into an electrical outlet, it is well suited for use in both home and small office environments. The XVW-P30 implements 802.11n technology, delivering up to 300Mbps speeds and is also compatible with 802.11b/g/n devices. XVW-P30 LEDs Once the wireless router is selected, a prompt to enter the appropriate password is displayed. Enter the password and press Connect Computer or wireless device supporting TCP/IP and equipped with a Web browser. Supported Web browser versions include the most current versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera. The Web browser is used to configure the XVW-P30. Available outlet XVW-P30 Right Port and Reset Browse for availiable Wi-Fi networks with any standard wireless device. The SSID (wireless network name) is Luxul-XVW-P30. No password is required to connect to the range extender. Open a web browser or plug in a Ethernet device to the ethernet port and enter 192.168.0.11 – when prompted for a login id and password, enter admin for both the login id and password. The USB on the right panel of the XVW-P30 is a Charge Only Port. Please note this should charge most USB powered devices but is not certified by any device manufacturer. (May not support some tablets). The XVW-P30 has two LEDs, positioned on the front of the device in the lower right corner. The LEDs are labeled: Power, Status. Reset/Factory Default Button The Reset button is used to clear the current settings of the XVW-P30 and restore factory default settings. XVW-P30 Bottom Ports After logging in, a list of all wireless routers at the current location will be displayed. Select the wireless router to be used with the repeater. If you do not see the wireless router/AP you’re looking for, press the Scan button to refresh the list, you may have to scroll down. System and Power Requirements USB Charging Port WHAT THIS PRODUCT DOES: Configuration The bottom panel of the XVW-P30 provides two Ethernet ports to connect Ethernet only devices to the network remotely. NOTE: If any of the listed items are missing or damaged, please contact the reseller from whom you purchased for return/replacement. To Restore the Default Settings: With the XVW-P30 powered on, press and hold the Reset button for 6 seconds. The Status LED turns off, after a few seconds when the reset button is released and after a the blue LED will begin to blink. The power LED will stay solid.
