HARDWARE DESCRIPTION XWR-1750 LED Indicators Indicator Name Status Function WPS LED 5GHz ON Indicates the XWR-1750 is ready for WPS pairing. ON Indicates a 5GHz wireless network is broadcasting. 2.4GHz ON Indicates a 2.4GHz network is broadcasting. 1-4 LED ON Indicates a device is connected to the Ethernet port number. FLASHING indicates data packets are being transmitted to the connected device. Internet ON Indicates the XWR-1750 is connected to the ISP. LED FLASHING Indicates data packets are being transmitted USB ON Indicates a USB enabled device is connected and LED configured. System ON Indicates the XWR-1750 is booting. LED FLASHING Indicates the XWR-1750 is operating normally. OFF Indicates the XWR-1750 will not boot Power ON ON indicates power is applied to the XWR-1750. Wait 10 seconds and re-apply power. USB 1 -2 Ports: 2 USB 2.0 ports for connecting USB based printers and hard drives WAN Port: 1 Black RJ-45 Ethernet Port for Internet connection LAN 1 - 4 Ports: 4 Green RJ-45 Ethernet Ports for connecting to the local network NOTE: It is recommended that a Luxul switch be used in conjunction with the XWR-1750 to increase number of local ports available. Supported Web browser versions include I.E. 9.0, Firefox 3.6, Safari 5.0, Chrome 6.0, Opera 10.6 and up. The Web browser is used to configure the XWR-1750. Power must be AC 100-240V~ 1.0A 50/60Hz. XWR-1750 INSTALLATION Desktop Installation For use as a desktop device, position the XWR-1750 on a desk or other horizontal surface with adequate room around the XWR-1750 for ventilation. Wall Installation The XWR-1750 Is keyholed to allow installation on a wall or ceiling. Use the Mounting Pattern (Page 8-9) for keyhole alignment. Hardware Setup Attach Antennas: Connect the included Dual Band Antennas to all three antenna ports. NOTE: All three antennas should be installed prior to powering up the XWR-1750 and are required for optimal performance. WAN Connection: Connect the Ethernet cable from the modem/router equipment provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to the black WAN port of the XWR-1750. AC Power: Connect the included AC Adapter to the XWR-1750 first and then to the AC outlet. © 2013 Luxul. All Rights Reserved. Other trademarks and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners XWR-1750 Quick Install Guide CONFIGURATION Default IP Address The XWR-1750 default IP address is 192.168.0.1. This address can be changed. However, for hassle free installation of other XenConnect™ plug and play Luxul devices, it is recommended that the default IP value be maintained. Parameter: Default IP address: Default user name: Default password: Default Value 192.168.0.1 admin admin Connect a Client Device Use a computer or mobile device to connect via Ethernet or wireless to the XWR-1750. The DHCP server on the XWR-1750 is configured by default. If your client device is set to obtain an address automatically, no further configuration is required. Connecting a Wireless Client Device: Connect the client device to one of the XWR-1750 default wireless networks (LuxulXen1750_24 or LuxulXen1750_5X). Both Wireless networks will run in Open Security mode. A passphrase is not required until Wireless Security is configured. Connecting an Ethernet Device: Use Ethernet cable to connect your computer or device to one of the XWR-1750 LAN ports. Login Login to the router with the following steps: 1. Open a Web browser, and enter 192.168.0.1. The router login screen will appear. 2. Enter the user name and password (default user name and default password are both set as “admin”), and then click “OK” to login to the router configuration interface. NOTE: Only devices that support 5GHz will see LuxulXen1750_5X wireless network. 14203 Minuteman Drive, Suite 201, Draper, UT 84020-1685 luxul.com | 801-822-5450 Simply Connected WPS CONFIGURATION/RESET BUTTON Used to configure WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or restore factory default settings To configure WPS, press and hold the WPS/Reset button until the WPS LED turns on (typically about 5 seconds). The XWR-1750 is now in WPS pairing mode. Follow the pairing instructions for your client device and enter the XWR-1750 WPS pin number (12345678) when prompted. ww CAUTION: Holding the WPS button longer than 10 seconds will result in a factory reset CAUTION: For optimal security, it is recommended to disable WPS after your client devices have been configured. ww To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the WPS/Reset button until the System LED stops flashing (approximatly 20 seconds). A factory reset will take one minute or more to complete. A successful factory reset is indicated when all of the Port LEDs flash once. When the System LED starts flashing again the unit is ready. CAUTION: Resetting the XWR-1750 to factory defaults will remove all custom settings. NOTE: To hard reboot the router, remove the power adapter. Wait 10 seconds and re-apply power. Verify that the electrical circuits have appropriate grounding and overload protection. Attach only approved power cords to the device. Verify there is adequate ventilation around the device, and that ambient temperatures meet equipment operation specifications. The XWR-1750 is designed for indoor use only. DO NOT place this outdoors. DO NOT install in or near hot or humid places, such as a kitchen or bathroom. Take care to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture. Small parts and plastic bags used for packaging may be harmful to small children. KEEP All ACCESSORIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN! The XWR-1750 may become hot when in use for extended time periods. This is normal and is not a malfunction. DO NOT install where it will be exposed to paper, cloth or other flammable materials. The XWR-1750 contains no user-serviceable parts. If it is not working properly, contact your dealer and ask for help. DO NOT attempt to disassemble the device. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE The device complies with internationally recognized standards covering human exposure to electromagnetic fields from radio devices. This equipment also complies with FCC radiation exposure set forth for an uncontrolled environment. In order to avoid the possibility of exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, human proximity to the antenna shall not be less than 20 cm (8 inches) during normal operation. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could cause damage and may violate regulatory approvals. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the authority to operate the equipment. The equipment version marketed in the U.S. is restricted to usage of channels 1-11 only. When installed adjacent to other equipment, it is advised to verify that the adjacent equipment is not adversely affected. Warning: Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Radiation: The radiated output of this device is below the FCC radio frequency exposure limits.
