Precautions for safety
CAUTION:
••Turn on the car ignition
before using this device. Do
not operate the RSE System
for long periods of time
with the ignition turned
off as such operations may
lead to battery discharge.
•• Adjust the volume to levels
that allow the driver to hear
sounds from outside of the
vehicle. Driving in a state where
external sounds cannot be
heard may lead to accidents.
••Pay attention to the volume
setting when turning
the device on. A sudden
output of extreme volume
upon turning the device
on could lead to hearing
impairment. (Adjust the
volume to a suitable level
before turning off the
device.)
••When cleaning the device,
make sure to turn off the
device and use a dry and
smooth cloth. Never use
tough materials, chemical
cloths, or solvents(alcohol,
benzene, thinners, etc.) as
such materials may damage
the device panel or cause
color/quality deterioration.
•• Do not subject the device to
severe shock or impact. Direct
pressure onto the front side of
the monitor may cause damage
to the LCD or touch screen.

Press the engine start button then press the
power button at the upper left side.
NOTE
• If the system is set to "Turn power on automatically,"
the system will start automatically.
For more information, refer to "Power Setting".

and hold the power key on the head unit to
turn off the system.
Display ON/OFF
Press the Display
button on the screen.
Even when the display is off, sound will be
played.
Touch anywhere on the touch screen to turn
the display back on.

Resetting the System
Setting the Speaker Mode
This feature is used to reset the system in the
occurrence of an unforeseen error or problem.
Press the speaker icon. Each time the button
is pressed, the mode will change between the
headphones and vehicle speaker.
To reset the system, use a clip or a pin to press
the [RESET] hole.

Headphones
6. Repeat the process for the second wireless
headphones.
1. Remove the protective film on the battery
cover and turn off the wireless headphone.
7. Attach the Left / Right stickers on the inside
of the left / right wireless headphones.
2. Press the power button for over 5 seconds
until the LED starts flashing quickly. The
wireless headphones will be ready to start
the connection process.
Note
• Once you have completed the wireless
headphone setup, then Bluetooth will connect
automatically when the power is turned on.
• When using Bluetooth headphones and the
vehicle speakers together, a time laps may occur
in the headphones.
3. Press Settings ▶ Bluetooth on the Display
Monitor you wish to connect.
4. Select the device name from the list.
5. Once the wireless headphones are properly
recognized, a message appears on the RSE
display and the LED will flash slowly.

Charging/replacing the
Batteries
When the LED turns red, the battery charge is
weak and the batteries need to be charged/
replaced.

Connect the USB charger cable to the
charging port on the bottom-side of the left
headphone.

1. Slide the cover on the left headphone from
left to right to open the battery compartment.
2. Replace the batteries.
3. Reattach the cover and turn it from right to
left until it engages.

• When replacing with a non-chargeable battery,
never connect the charging cable.
• Battery charging through the Charging Port is
possible with select rechargeable batteries. Not
all battery may be recharged.

About USB
••Connect the USB device after turning on
the engine. The USB device may become
damaged if it is already connected when the
ignition is turned on.
••Files that are not standard format files will not
be played.
••For MP3/WMA files, only music files with
compression rates between 8 Kbps ~ 320
Kbps can be played.
••Heed caution to static electricity when
connecting/disconnecting external USB
devices.
••Encoded MP3 Players will not be recognized
when connected as an external device.
••When connecting an external USB device, the
device may not properly recognize the USB is
in some states.
••Only USB devices formatted as FAT 32 and
NTFS are supported.
••Some USB devices may not be supported due
to compatibility issues.
••Avoid contact between the USB connector
with bodily parts/foreign objects.
••Repeated connecting/disconnecting of USB
devices within short periods of time may
result in product malfunction.
••Insert USB device after starting the car. If the
car is started while USB device is inserted, it
may damage USB device.
••The amount of time required to recognize the

on the type, size, or file formats stored on the
USB. Such differences in required time are not
indications of malfunction.
••The device may not recognize the USB
device if separately purchased USB hubs and
extension cables are being used. Connect the
USB directly with the multimedia terminal of
the vehicle.
••When application programs are installed to
specific USBs, files may not properly play.
••The device may not operate normally if MP3
Players, cellular phones, digital cameras,
or other electronic devices (USB devices
not recognized as portable disk drives) are
connected with the device.
••Charging through the USB may not work for
some mobile devices.
••The device may not support normal operation
when using a USB memory type besides
Metal Cover Type USB Memory.
••The device may not support normal operation
when using formats such as HDD Type, CF, or
SD Memory.
••The device will not support files locked by
DRM (Digital Rights Management).
••USB memory sticks used by connecting an
Adaptor (SD Type or CF Type) may not be
properly recognized.

About Disc
••After using a disc, put the disc back in its
original case to prevent disc scratches.
••Do not use abnormally shaped discs (8cm,
heart-shaped, octagon-shaped) as such discs
could lead to malfunctions.
••Do not clean discs with chemical solutions,
such as alcohol, benzene or thinners.
••Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or
high temperatures for prolonged periods
of time. Such exposure may lead to disc
deformation.
••Upon playing a disc contaminated by dirt or
other substances, the sound and video quality
may deteriorate and result in skipping sounds.
Writing on either side of the disc could result
in damage to disc surfaces.
••Clean fingerprints and dust off the disc surface
(coated side) with a soft cloth.
••Video CDs cannot be played. (However, such
discs may still abnormally operate.)
••Do not to introduce foreign substances into
the disc insert/eject slot. Introducing foreign
substances could damage the device interior.
••The device may fail to properly operate in
extremely hot or cold temperatures.
••Steam can become condensed on the fiber
optic lens due to rain, wet conditions, or upon
operating the heating system. In such cases,
discs may not be properly recognized could
be the cause of product malfunction. Remove

the disc and wait until the moisture dries.
••Skipping may occur to the audio and video
when driving on bumpy roads for prolonged
periods of time or upon severe shock to the
vehicle. In case of severe shock, video and
audio may not properly play.
•• Do not attach stickers or labels on to discs. Stickers
or labels could cause damage to the system.
••Do not insert more than one disc at once.
Such acts could lead to product damage or
malfunctions.
•• Do not forcefully eject or pull on discs when a
disc is being loaded into the disc player. Such acts
could lead to product damage or malfunctions.
••Non-genuine discs may result in disc recognition
failure or product malfunction.
DVD Region Code
The DVD Player and DVDs are assigned region
codes. DVDs without the proper region
codes as supported by this device are not
supported. Check the table below for more
information on DVD region codes.

There is one RSE System DVD deck. The two
monitors will play the same screen and sound.
When in DVD, Video CD, Audio CD, or Data
CD Mode, controls are possible from only one
monitor.
The monitor with controls disabled will not
support the control panel and display a

at the upper right side.
