CORRECT THE STEERING BY PUSHING THE STEERING STICK IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE WAY THE SMART CAR RUNS TOWARDS. 6. VEHICLE CARE • Keep your SMART CARS tires and chassis clean. — Use a clean damp cloth when cleaning the vehicle body and tires. Hot Wheels® Ai comes with 20 pieces of SMART TRACK™ so you can create and customize your own unique raceway. Place the Start / Finish line ANYWHERE you want and build an EPIC race with the additional track sections. Straight tracks add bursts of speed to the race while bends help slow things down. Simply connect track pieces by inserting the tabs on one piece of track to the slots on another piece of track as shown below. 2x REVERSE 450 CORNER TRACK 1x PIT LANE OUT ADDING THE PIT LANE For the Pit Lane, look for the additional slots on the sides of the straight track pieces and attach both Pit Lane pieces. Then connect the Pit Lane In and Pit Lane Out pieces together as shown. — Use a clean dry cloth when wiping down your chassis and track sensors. TAB DRY CLOTH SLOT SMART TRACK CARE TM • Clean SMART TRACK with a lightly damp cloth. ™ CONNECT — Do not build track on a slippery surface. DISCONNECTING THE TRACK Take track apart by pulling tabs out of the slots as shown. Be careful not to pull the tabs at an angle as this may cause the tab or slot to tear or split. NOTE: Make sure you have correctly installed the batteries in both your vehicle and controller (see page 4). When you run out of Hazards ! you will need to make a PIT STOP to refill them. — Steer to the pit lane and carefully drive IN and OUT of the pit. Press the If playing for the first time (or after loading a new set of batteries) you will be asked to select a language. Use the STEERING STICK to toggle left and right until you hear the language you want to play in. Press the button to POWER ON your controller. IMPORTANT: You need to switch on RC ASSIST mode to allow the car to steer into the pit. Once inside the pit, you can switch off RC ASSIST mode. (see below for info on RC ASSIST) After you successfully PIT the gaming controller will let you know, “You’re good to Go!” and hazards will now be refilled. RACING OFF TRACK If you get hit by a hazard or take a turn too fast and race off the track, activate the RC ASSIST mode to disengage the track sensors and steer back to the track. A slow BEEP will alert you that you are in RC ASSIST mode, press the RC button again to deactivate and re-engage the sensors once you are back on track. 14 Listen for the voice prompt from the controller to confirm: “BEEP!” USE YOUR GAMING CONTROLLER CHAMPIONSHIP MODE FEATURES The GAMING CONTROLLER gives you the power to control your vehicle and set up the race! CHAMPIONSHIP MODE has 3 SKILL LEVELS, each with its own unique set of gameplay features. • AUTODRIVE MODE* BEGINNER MODE: For Hot Wheels® Ai newbies, BEGINNER mode provides: CHOOSE SKILL LEVEL* HIGH track assistance. Limited acceleration and steering. No race hazards. So plan your attacks wisely because they can battle with no pit stop time penalty. 13 CHAMPIONSHIP MODE FREEPLAY MODE With Hot Wheels® Ai you can race how YOU want, on-track or off.
