To disconnect the wires, push down on the connector clip and pull apart.4. After charging, the battery will feel warm. Have nofear, that’s normal for fully charged batteries.5. New battery packs must be charged for 5 1/2 hoursthe first two times. After that you’re looking at 4hours per charge. Charging the battery pack formore than 4 hours won’t extend your running timebut if it makes you happy, charge away.6. Unlike alkaline batteries, which lose power gradual-ly, a NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium) battery will operate forits normal running time and then lose most of itspower at once. When that starts to happen, rechargethe battery pack.7. Okay, you’re loving this toy and you want to slamthat spent battery back into the charger for moresplash action. Bad move. Here’s why: Recharging awarm or hot battery pack will greatly reduce thenumber of times your battery pack can be recharged. 8. Less run time means less fun time and we don’twant that do we?ÄGeneral rule of thumb: Wait at least 20 minutesuntil the battery pack cools before recharging.1.2.3.1.2.

Note to Adults:It’s probably a good idea to recharge the battery packyourself to make sure everything’s done correctly. Whowants to wait four hours only to discover the battery’sbeen put into the charger backwards?Recharge batteries only under adult supervision.Kids will inevitably ram, slam and kablam the toy duringusage. When your boat starts to lose power, you’ll start tolose performance. It's time for a recharge. As a rule, you should always start with a fully-charged battery.2. Are you the full-throttle sort or a more a steady asyou go type? Your boat's running time may changedepending on your driving style.3. Radio interference can mess up the signals you’resending to the boat, causing it to perform erratically.Things to look for that may be causing the interfer-ence: other R/C boats running on the same frequency, electrical wires, large buildings, CB radios, UFOs (kid-ding) or other wireless gear that can cause interfer-ence. 4. Point your transmitter antenna up - not down towardyour boat. If your boat gets too far away, you can kissproper functioning goodbye. 5. Don’t drive your boat in the sand. Not only won’t youget very far, you might ruin the toy.6. Don’t store your boat near heat or in direct sunlight.Always turn switches OFF and, if you’re not planningon taking the boat out for a while, remove all the batteries....really. It’s amazing how one leaky 50¢ battery can ruin a really cool product.TIPS & HINTS – FOR WATER OPERATION7. Operate your boat only in calm, clear water. Poolsand shallow ponds are recommended. Do not operatein salt water. Do not expose the boat to water unlessthe battery compartment is properly closed andlatched.8. After a few minutes in the water, you should payclose attention to your boat’s location, making surethat it’s close to the water’s edge. That way your boatwill be able to return safely under its own power.9. Always make sure the rudders located at the rear ofthe fan cage are in a parallel position.10.The boat will work best on water or smooth, flat surfaces.11.Do not expose the transmitter to water. If the trans-mitter is accidentally exposed to water, remove thetransmitter battery and allow the transmitter to air-dry completely. Replace with a fresh battery beforeresuming operation.12. After each use, remove any water or moisture fromthe boat using a clean dry cloth.13. You may notice that the boat, even when you'resteering straight ahead , veers to either the right orthe left. You can correct for this with the TRIMADJUSTER found at the back of the boat behind thefan cage. So, if your boat veers too much to the right, adjust the switch clockwise or if to the left, counterclockwise.123456THIS PRODUCT USES A NICKEL-CADMIUM RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK.
