If your phone freezesTry the following:• Press and hold the power key for over 8 seconds.The phone restarts.• Update your phone software.• Reset your phone. This restores the factorysettings, and erases all your personal content,including apps you've purchased anddownloaded. On the start screen, swipe left, andtap   Settings > about > reset your phone.If your issue remains unsolved, contact yournetwork service provider or Nokia for repairoptions. Before sending your phone for repair,always back up your data, as all personal data inyour phone may be deleted.Tip: If you need to identify your phone, toview the unique IMEI number of the phone,dial *#06#.Find your model number and serialnumber (IMEI)If you need to contact Nokia Care or your serviceprovider, you may need info, such as the modelnumber and the serial number (IMEI). Feature-specific informationUsing services or downloading content may causethe transfer of large amounts of data, which mayresult in data costs.You can send text messages that are longer thanthe character limit for a single message. Product and safety informationNetwork services and costsYou can only use your device on the CDMA 800, CMDA1900, LTE 700,1700/2100; WCDMA 850, 900, 1900, 2100; and GSM 850, 900, 1800,1900 MHz networks. Support for LTE networks may have beendisabled on your device depending on your country or serviceprovider. You need a subscription with a service provider.Using some features and downloading content require a networkconnection and may result in data costs. You may also need tosubscribe to some features.Important: 4G/LTE might not be supported by your networkservice provider or by the service provider you are using whentraveling. In these cases, you may not be able to make orreceive calls, send or receive messages or use mobile dataconnections. To make sure your phone works seamlesslywhen full 4G/LTE service is not available, it is recommendedthat you change the highest connection speed from 4G to 3G.To do this, swipe left on the start screen, and tap   Settings >cellular. Switch Highest connection speed to 3G.For more info, contact your network service provider.Make an emergency call1. Make sure the phone is switched on.2. Check for adequate signal strength.You may also need to do the following:• Put a SIM card in the device, if supported by your device.• Switch off the restrictions in your phone, such as call restriction,fixed dialing, or closed user group.• Make sure airplane mode is not switched on.• If the phone screen and keys are locked, unlock them.3. Donot attempt to remove the battery, as you may damage the device.To replace the battery, take the device to the nearest authorizedservice facility.Charge your device with AC-60U charger. Charger plug type mayvary.Third-party chargers that comply with the IEC/EN 62684 standard,and that can connect to your device micro USB connector, may alsobe compatible.Nokia may make additional battery or charger models available forthis device.Only use the battery with a charging system that has been qualifiedwith the system per CTIA Certification Requirements for BatterySystem Compliance to IEEE 1725.The phone shall only be connected to CTIA certified adapters,products that bear the USB-IF logo, or products that have completedthe USB-IF compliance program.Battery and charger safetyTo unplug a charger or an accessory, hold and pull the plug, not thecord.When your charger is not in use, unplug it. Please refer to www.nokia.com or the licenseterms, which apply to the Nokia software, for information on supportthat may be available for it.This Warranty is not valid if:1 Your Product has been (a) opened, modified, or repaired withoutNokia’s authorization, or (b) repaired with unauthorized spare parts.Unauthorized repair or replacement of any parts in the Product will,to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, void thisWarranty and any of your rights set forth herein.18
2 Your Product's serial number, the mobile accessory date code, orthe IMEI number has been removed, erased, defaced, altered or ifthese are illegible in any way.3 Your Product has been exposed to moisture, to dampness or toextreme thermal or environmental conditions or to rapid changes insuch conditions, to corrosion, to oxidation, to spillage of food or liquidor to influence from chemical products.4 The software your product runs on has been modified.5. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTICESAn independent operator provides the SIM card and the cellular orother network or system on which your Product operates. Therefore,Nokia does not assume any responsibility for the operation,availability, coverage, services, or range of the cellular or othernetworks or systems. Before Nokia or a Nokia authorized servicecenter can repair or replace your Product, the operator may need tounlock the SIM-lock or other lock that may lock your Product to aspecific network or operator. In these situations, please first contactyour operator and request it to unlock your Product.All parts of your Product that Nokia has replaced become Nokia’sproperty. When repairing or replacing your Product, Nokia may usenew or re-conditioned parts or products.If this Warranty does not cover your Product or the issue based onwhich it requires service, Nokia and its authorized service centersreserve the right to charge for the repair or replacement of yourProduct, as well as a handling fee.Your Product may contain country specific elements, includingsoftware. The warranty services available in a particular country maybe limited to the Products and country specific elements available inthat country. Also, if your Product has been re-exported from itsoriginal destination to another country, your Product may containcountry specific elements that are not considered a defect under thisWarranty even if they would not be operational.6. LIMITATION OF NOKIA'S LIABILITYThis Warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy against Nokia andNokia's sole and exclusive liability with respect to defect and damagein your Product. This Warranty replaces all other Nokia warranties andliabilities, whether oral, written, (non-mandatory) statutory,contractual, in tort, or otherwise, including, without limitation, andwhere permitted by applicable law, any implied conditions, warranties,or other terms as to satisfactory quality or fitness for a particularpurpose. NOKIA’S LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THEPURCHASE VALUE OF YOUR PRODUCT.
