As with any other radio transmitting device, do not touch the antenna unnecessarily when the phone is switched on. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the phone to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed.Not touching the antenna area during a phone call optimizes the antenna performance and the talk-time of your phone. Normal position: Hold the phone as you would any other telephone with the antenna pointed up and over your shoulder. • THE BATTERYThis section tells you how to install and remove the battery. You will need to remove the battery when replacing it, or to view the phone’s label (located under the battery). Your phone can hold up to three numbers. This means that your phone can be activated in three different service areas. For example, your phone could be activated in Dallas, Chicago, and New York. Each service area would assign a different phone number or account to your phone.You must select a phone number for your home system. Only one phone number can be active at a time. If you travel outside your home system, you can choose another number. One phone number is usually enough if your service provider has service or roaming agreements for each area in which you wish to use your phone.
