Models wi thou t navigation syst em The audio system features AM/FM radio. It can also play audio CDs, WMA/MP3/AAC files, USB flash drives, and iPod, iPhone and Bluetooth®devices. You can operate the audio system from the buttons and switches on the panel, the remote controls on the steering wheel, or the icons on the touchscreen interface. Install the iPod dock connector or the USB flash drive to he USB port. >>USB Ports • Do not leave the iPod or USB flash drive in the vehicle. Direct sunlight and high temperatures may damage it. • We recommend using an extension cable with the USB port. • Do not connect the iPod or USB flash drive using a hub. • Do not use a device such as a card reader or hard disk drive, as the device or your files may be damaged. • We recommend backing up your data before using the device in your vehicle. • Displayed messages may vary depending on the device model and software version. Features If the audio system does not recognize the iPod, try reconnecting it a few times or reboot the device. To reboot, follow the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the iPod or visit www.apple.com/ipod. ▶▶Audio System▶HDMI® Port HDMI®Port 1. Open the cover. 2. HDMI Port Feature Audio Antenna >>Audio Antenna Your vehicle is equipped with a removable antenna at the rear of the roof. NOTICE Before using a “drive-through” car wash, remove the antenna by unscrewing it by hand. This prevents the antenna from being damaged by the car wash brushes. ▶▶Audio System▶Audio System Theft Protection Audio System Theft Protection The audio system is disabled when it is disconnected from the power source, such as when the battery is disconnected or goes dead. In certain conditions, the system may display Enter code* 2 . If this occurs, reactivate the audio system. ■Reactivating the audio system 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON Ⅱ *1. 2. Turn on the audio system. 3. Press and hold the audio system power button for more than two seconds. ▶ The audio system is reactivated when the audio control unit establishes a connection with the vehicle control unit. If the control unit fails to recognize the audio unit, you must go to a dealer and have the audio unit checked. The maximum image size is 4,096 x 4,096 pixels. If the image size is less than 800 × 480 pixels, the image is displayed in the middle of the screen with the extra area appearing in black. Up to 5 files can be selected. Select a desired wallpaper. ▶ The preview is displayed on the left side on the screen. ▶ The pop-up menu appears on the screen. 5. Select Set. ▶ The display will return to the wallpaper list. Select a wallpaper that you want to delete. ▶ The preview is displayed on the left side on the screen. ▶ The pop-up menu appears on the screen. 5. Select Delete. ▶ The confirmation message will appear. 6. Select Yes to delete completely. ▶ The display will return to the wallpaper list. > > Wallpaper Setup From the pop-up menu, select Preview to see a preview at full-size screen. To go back to the previous screen, select OK, or BACK. When the file size is large, it takes a while to be previewed. As you slow down, audio volume decreases. Tune to the selected station. 2. Select MENU. 3. Select Save Preset. 4. Stereo reproduction in AM is not available. Features You can store 6 AM stations and 12 FM stations into the preset memory. ■Radio Data System (RDS) Provides text data information related to your selected RDS-capable FM station. ■ To find an RDS station from Station List 1. Select MENU while listening to an FM station. 2. Select Station List. 3. Select the station. ■ M anual update Updates your available station list at any time. 1. Select MENU while listening to an FM station. 2. Select Station List. 3. Select Refresh. > > Radio Data System (RDS) When you select an RDS-capable FM station, the RDS automatically turns on, and the frequency display changes to the station name. However, when the signals of that station become weak, the display changes from the station name to the frequency. ▶ ▶ Audio System Basic Operation ▶ Playing the AM/FM Radio ■ Radio text Displays the radio text information of the selected RDS station. 1. Select MENU and select M usic Search. > > Playing a CD NOTICE Do not use CDs with adhesive labels. The label can cause the CD to jam in the unit. WMA files protected by digital rights management (DRM) cannot be played. The audio system displays Unplayable File, then skips to the next file. 2. Select a folder. If you eject the CD but do not remove it from the slot, the system reloads the CD automatically after several seconds. Track Selection 3. Select a track. Random/Repeat Repeat Folder (MP3/WMA/AAC): Repeats all files in the current folder. Repeat Track: Repeats the current track/file. Random in Folder (MP3/WMA/AAC): Plays all files in the current folder in random order. The available items are: • Bookmark • Station List • New Station • Change Source • Sound ■ Operating a menu item If you cannot operate Pandora®through the audio system, it may be streaming through Bluetooth®Audio. Make sure Pandora®mode on your audio system isselected. Changing Stations To change stations, activate the Pandora®menu, select Station List, and then select a new station. > > Pandora®Menu Available operating functions vary on software versions. Some functions may not be available on the vehicle’s audio system. If there is a problem, you may see an error message on the audio/information screen. ⇒ Pandora® P. *** Pandora®may limit the total number of skips allowed on the service. If you dislike a track after the skip limit has been reached, your feedback will be saved but the current track will continue to play. Features 1. Select MENU. 2. Select an item. Pandora®is free, personalized radio that plays music and comedy you’ll love. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs, comedians or composers and Pandora®will create a custom station that plays similar tracks. This function is available when the phone is paired and connected to the vehicle’s Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® (HFL) system. ⇒ Phone Setup P. *** Audio/Information Screen >>Playing Bluetooth® Audio Not all Bluetooth-enabled phones with streaming audio capabilities are compatible with the system. For a list of compatible phones: • U.S.: Visit www.handsfreelink.honda.com, or call 1-888-528-7876. • Canada: Visit www.handsfreelink.ca, or call 1-888528-7876. Bluetooth Indicator Appears when your phone is connected to HFL. In some states, it may be illegal to perform some data device functions while driving. Only one phone can be used with HFL at a time. When there are more than two paired phones in the vehicle, the first paired phone the system finds is automatically linked. VOL (Volume) Button Select to adjust the volume. If more than one phone is paired to the HFL system, there may be a delay before the system begins to play. (M ENU) Button Select to display the menu items. Make sure that your phone is paired and connected to HFL. 2. Press the Bluetooth®Audio mode.
