Enter number
• When you enter a number, the easy calling function will
run. When the list of numbers appear, tap , select the
number then tap button to make a call.
Easy Calling: When the number is entered, phone automatically
searches the matching number from recent list of
outgoing calls.
➋ Using the phonebook
Select contact
• You can search and select the contact from your
phonebook to make a call. (Search Number, see p.126)
• If you select the contact and tap , your phone will
make a phone call to the ‘Primary number’.

Press and hold the speed dial number
• You can easily make a call by press and hold the speed dial
number saved on your phone. (Adding speed dial p.129)

When call is incoming, open the clear cover or tap button
• When the call is incoming you can press and hold the volume button down, to mute
ringtone or disable the vibration.

• If you have registered ‘Caller ID’ service, caller’s number will be shown on the screen.
• You can change the ‘Incoming Call’ graphic from MenuDisplay

During a call, you can unlock the switch to use other functions
during a call.

• The phone may fail to detect the accurate location in the
underground or tunnel where GPS signal is blocked.
• If the vehicle vibrates severely, there can be a vibration on
the screen.
• It is dangerous to use the phone while driving a car. Make sure
to check the navigation information before driving a car.
• If the information from T MAP service is different from that on
the road, make sure to follow the traffic regulations and actual
road situation.

The phone continues playing music even if you close the slide while the phone is playing
music content.
• You can select a section to be repeated by pressing .
If you press again, the selected section is repeated.
• If you press (Left)[Menu], you can use the multi-tasking function to change settings, to
access wireless internet, or to manage text messages while playing music content.
• If you press (Left)[End] while you are connected to wireless internet, the previous
screen is displayed.

Downloading Melon Player
You can download ‘Melon Player’ program from SKT, save, play, send
and manage MP3 files. Contact the service provider or visit Melon
website (www.melon.com) for further information of ‘Melon Player’.
Melon player is the free exclusive PC software operating in PC. You can
download, save, play, send or manage MP4 files (DCF files).
About SKT Melon Player?
1) Access Motorola (http://www.mymotorola.co.kr), subscribe, and log
in.
2)
Select the Download Center in ‘MOTOPRODUCT Product
Information’, and click Melon MP3 Player.
3) If there is no USB driver program installed in the PC, click ‘USB
Driver Download’ on the MP3 Player installation Guide. (Make sure
to connect the phone with PC before installing the USB driver.)
Click DOWNLOAD of the model ▶ Click Save on the file
downloading message box ▶ Select a folder and click Save ▶
Execute the file in the folder and click install ▶ Click OK on the
installation complete window
※ An error may occur when installing a USB driver depending on the
environment of PC. Click Error in Driver Installation on the installation guide
window and check the description.

1) Access the Melon website (www.melon.com) and subscribe to it
as a member.
2) In case of saving an MP3 file in the mobile phone, make sure to turn
on the mobile phone, and connect it to PC via a 5PIN USB data
cable before executing the Melon Player.
3) After executing the Melon Player, try log-in.
4) After selecting a desired song, you can enjoy music with an MP3
player or send this MP3 file to the mobile phone.

To send file to the phone, SKT integrated USB driver is required.
(See Melon website Customer Center for further information.)

When sending an MP3 file to the phone via PC, do not remove the 5PIN
USB data cable by force. Such act may cause malfunction of the phone.

Service fee is charged for downloading MP3 files to PC or saving MP3
files to the phone. The fee will be charged based on SKT’s Melon.

This service is available for the customers who have an integrated ID
issued from SKT membership site T-World (http://www.tworld.co.kr)
※ In case of downloading or listening MP3 files on PC, it is not necessary to
connect the phone.

However, it is impossible to send files from the phone to PC again.

To send MP3 files to the phone, make sure that you have an MP3-only

• If you download content from wireless internet (NATE, june, ⓜPlayon, Game Box , etc.)when
you have no sufficient free space in the memory, the ‘lack of memory’ message is displayed.
You can download the content by executing the memory manager and deleting the content
stored in the phone.

Before use
What is satellite DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)?
Satellite DMB refers to new media broadcasting service to allow the mobile phones to directly receive broadcasting radio
waves from satellite DMB broadcasting center therefore you will be able to watch high-quality broadcasting contents anywhere,
anytime.
What is TU?
TU is a mobile broadcasting service provider, allowing users to watch satellite DMB through their mobile phones.
Visit TU website at http://www.tu4u.com for further information on TU services.
When watching DMB broadcasting
• In regions with weak radio waves, video contents may get slower or stopped.
Use satellite DMB antenna to receive better radio waves.
• If you watch DMB for extended period of time, it will lead to higher power consumption.
If low battery indicator appears, charge the battery before use your phone again.
• Under direct sunlight, you may find it difficult to see the screen.
• When you have connected satellite DMB antenna to your phone, do not hold the antenna and shake or swing the phone.
The antenna or your phone may get damaged.
• In public areas, you will be able to watch the broadcasting without connecting the antenna to your phone.
If you have problem with service signal, connect the antenna for better reception.
• Do not block the antenna with your hands while watching DMB since it may cause poor reception.

Before using camera
• It is recommended that the object is still when you take
a photo.
• Hold the phone with both hands to prevent shaking.
• Use soft cloth when you clean the camera lens.
- Camera lens can be damaged.
• Do not take a photo or video when you are not permitted
or which may intrude other person’s privacy.
- You may have to compensate for validation of portrait or
intrusion of privacy.
• Taking and distribution of a candid photo via internet is a
criminal act and is subject to civil/criminal punishment.
• Do not take a photo or video where it is forbidden.
• In order to prevent the misuse of camera phones,
this product is designed to sound the camera tone in
accordance with the relative regulations.
• Observe the camera etiquette, and do not modify the
camera tone at your own discretion.
CAUTION
• Place and use the phone in the safe place.
- Keep the phone away from the magnetic components.
• Be careful that dust or sand should not infiltrate into the
phone.
• The camera lens is weak to impact.
Do not drop the phone or give strong impact.
• Do not face the lens to the sun or strong light.
- The camera lens can be damaged.
• Avoid the place where there is sudden fluctuation of
temperature and humidity.
- In this case, turn off the power and dry the phone.
• Battery consumption increases when using the camera.
• It is recommended to take a photo outdoor or inside the
room with light. If you take the photo at night or in dark
places, set the maximum brightness.
