Install the battery.ⅢRemove the battery from its packaging.ⅢInsert the battery into the opening in the back of the phone, making sure the connectors align. Gently press down to secure the battery.ⅢPosition the battery cover over the battery compartment and press down until you hear a click. 2. Charge your battery for at least three hours. 3. Press and hold the Power/Screen Lock on top of your phone to turn it on. ⅢIf your phone is activated, it will turn on and show some setup instructions.ⅢIf your phone is not yet activated, see “Activating Your Phone” on page 3 for more information.4. You can add accounts later.ⅢTouch the android to begin.ⅢSet up or log into your Google account.ⅢAdd additional accounts.Activating Your PhoneⅷIf you purchased your phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated and ready to use.ⅷIf you received your phone in the mail and it is for a new Sprint account or a new line of service, it is designed to activate automatically. To confirm your activation, make a phone call.ⅷIf you received your phone in the mail and you are activating a new phone for an existing number on your account, you will need to go online to activate your new phone.ⅢFrom your computer’s Web browser, go to www.sprint.com/activate and complete the onscreen instructions to activate your phone.When you have finished, make a phone call to confirm your activation. If your phone is still not activated or you do not have access to the Internet, contact Sprint Customer Service at 1-888-211-4727 for assistance.Setting Up Your VoicemailYour phone automatically transfers all unanswered calls to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your Sprint Voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated. Always use a password to protect against unauthorized access.Note:Please read the battery use and safety text in the important legal and safety information packaged with your phone.Tip:Do not press the Power/Screen Lock button while the phone is being activated. Pressing it cancels the activation process.Note:If you are having difficulty with activation, contact Sprint Customer Service by dialing 1-888-211-4727 from any other phone.

Touch > Accounts > Add account.2. To sign into your account, use the user name or email and password that you set up on that account (the same as on your computer).Sprint Account PasswordsAs a Sprint customer, you enjoy unlimited access to your personal account information, your voicemail account, and your data services account. To ensure that no one else has access to your information, you will need to create passwords to protect your privacy.Account Username and PasswordIf you are the account owner, you will create an account username and password when you sign on to www.sprint.com. (Click Sign in and then click Sign up Note:Voicemail PasswordSprint strongly recommends that you create a password when setting up your voicemail to protect against unauthorized access. Without a password, anyone who has access to your phone is able to access your voicemail messages.1Note:You can add corporate sync (Microsoft® Exchange®), email, or social networking accounts (such as Facebook, Twitter, and more) to your phone. Micro HDMI Connector lets you connect to a high definition display device such as a television.4. Menu Key (/) lets you access the options menus (including Settings) from the home screen and context-sensitive menus from other screens.5. Home Key (X) brings you back to the home screen. Camera Button (j) activates the camera and lets you take pictures.9. Volume Button lets you adjust the ringer volume from the home screen, the voice or speaker volume during a call, and the speaker volume while using the music player or other applications.11. Your phone may require you to enter identifying information to use it or to access specific features.Turning Your Phone OffᮣPress and hold Power/Screen Lock to open a phone options menu, where you can turn off the phone (Power off), or turn Airplane mode or Silent mode on or off.Touchscreen and KeysTouchscreen On/OffYour touchscreen is on when you need it and off when you don’t.ⅷTo make your touchscreen sleep or wake up, just press Power/Screen Lock.ⅷWhen you hold the phone to your ear during calls, your touchscreen sleeps to prevent accidental touches.ⅷTo let the touchscreen adjust brightness automatically, press Menu / > Settings >Sound & display > Brightness and check Automatic brightness.Note:If your phone's SIM PIN is set, you will be prompted to enter your SIM PIN code when you turn on your phone. Widgets show you news, weather, messages, and other updates.ⅷTo open something, touch it.
