Radio Control Top
Radio On/Off:
ON: Turn the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise.
OFF: Turn the On/Off/Volume knob counter-clockwise.
Mode/Channel Selection:
MODE: Togg l e th e Mode Select switch to A, B, C, D, E or F
(see the mode/channel map).
CHANNEL: Turn the Channel Select knob to your desired
channel (see the mode/channel map).
Display Backlight/Flip:
BACKLIGHT: Press the Display button.
FLIP: Press and hold the Display button for 2 seconds.
Volume:
RAISE: Turn the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise.
LOWER: Turn the On/Off/Volume knob counter-clockwise.
Before using this product, read the operating
instructions for safe usage contained in the Product
Safety and RF Exposure booklet enclosed with your
radio.

Radio Side Buttons
Transmit/Receive:
TRANSMIT: Press the PTT button.
RECEIVE: Release the PTT button.
Monitoring:
CARRIER SQUELCH: Press the Monitor button.
OPEN SQUELCH: Press and hold the Monitor button for
2 seconds.
Secure Operation:
ON/OFF: Press the Secure button.
Scan:
ON/OFF: Press the Scan button.
NUISANCE CHANNEL DELETE: Press and hold the Scan
button for 2 seconds.
NUISANCE CHANNEL RESTORE: Press the Scan button
to turn scan off, then press it again to turn scan back on.

Accessory Installation
Antenna:
ATTACH: With the radio turned off, twist the antenna clock-
wise onto the connector on the top of the radio.
REMOVE: With the radio turned off, twist the antenna
counter-clockwise to remove it from the radio.
Battery:
ATTACH: With the radio turned off, align the baseplate on the
bottom of the radio with the groove on the top of the battery,
and slide the battery toward the latch until it clicks into place.
REMOVE: With the radio turned off, slide the battery latch up
and hold it while sliding the battery away from the latch.
Belt Clip:
ATTACH: With the battery removed, hook the top of the belt
clip into the slot near the top of the radio in the back. Press
the bottom of the belt clip into the slot near the base of the
radio until it clicks into place.
REMOVE: With the battery removed, use a small, flat-bladed
screwdriver to disengage the locking tab on the bottom of the
belt clip from the base of the radio. Lift the belt clip up and
away from the radio.
